"Black!" Harry chased after him anxiously and saw the werewolf throw the badly injured black dog onto a rock and raise his long arm, ready to deliver the fatal blow.
In his desperation, Harry picked up a rock and smashed it on the werewolf's head.
The werewolf turned around and roared at Harry.
He strode up to Harry, and just as he was about to attack, a wolf howl came from afar.
The werewolf responded to the calls of its kind, but after hesitating for a moment, it abandoned its attack and ran toward the direction from which the sound came.
Harry had just escaped with his life, and before he could even recover, he heard the big black dog howling.
Sirius released Animagus, who had several deep wounds on his body, but he didn't care and staggered down the hillside.
Peter Pettigrew has run away, and he has to catch him, or he won't be able to clear his name.
Seeing this, Harry anxiously chased after him. He knew what the other was worried about, but given Sirius's current state, let alone chasing Peter, he might even be killed by Peter if he wasn't careful.
"Should we follow them and see?" Hermione asked Aaron with some trepidation.
"What about Professor Snape?" Aaron said sarcastically. "Thanks to you all, he's unconscious now!"
“Me too.” Ron weakly raised his right hand. “You can’t leave me behind!”
And Sirius wouldn't hurt Harry, right?
“That’s right.” Aaron nodded, but his expression suddenly became serious. “But they will.”
Hermione and Ron exchanged a puzzled look, then followed Aaron's gaze, their faces instantly turning pale.
A dense swarm of dark shadows flew in from the distant sky; at least a hundred Dementors had been drawn by the battle between the werewolf and the black dog.
"What do we do?" Ron said anxiously. "Hermione, think of something quick!"
“I don’t know what to do either,” Hermione said bitterly. “They’ll definitely execute Sirius as a murderer and an escapee.”
Even at Hogwarts, only Dumbledore and a few of the headmasters could possibly exorcise so many Dementors, but we simply didn't have time to notify them.
"If you hadn't knocked out Professor Snape, there might have been a chance, but now... Harry has to pay the price for him, and for what you've done."
“What kind of time is this to be making sarcastic remarks?” Ron said angrily. “Sirius is innocent. He has already served twelve years in prison.”
Aaron remained silent for a moment, then sighed helplessly and walked towards the place where the Dementors were gathered.
"Where are you going?" Hermione asked.
"Save them! Although your attitude makes me very angry, it is really unacceptable to stand by and watch someone die."
"But there are hundreds of Dementors, you can't defeat them."
"How do you know I can't defeat them?" Aaron chuckled meaningfully. "I also know the Patronus Charm. Although I'm not as good as Dumbledore, I'm definitely much better than Harry Potter."
All I can say is that I'll do my best, and if we're lucky, we might be able to save them both.
No sooner had the words been spoken than a dazzling white light emanated from afar.
The Dementors were utterly defeated by the dazzling light and scattered in all directions.
"A Guardian Charm?" Aaron raised an eyebrow. "A Guardian Charm no weaker than mine, could there be someone else there?"
“It’s Harry, it must be Harry,” Ron said excitedly. “This is definitely his most successful one yet.”
Hermione was also overjoyed and cried tears of joy. "Let's go take a look."
"You can go if you want, I have to look after Professor Snape," Aaron said calmly, and walked back to the tree hollow on his own.
Hermione and Ron exchanged a glance. "Hang in there for a bit, I'll go get Harry and the others, and then I'll take you to the school hospital."
Ron nodded; this was the only option now.
Aaron had just brought Professor Snape out when Hermione came running back, panting.
"Where are they?" Aaron asked, somewhat puzzled.
Hermione said with a bitter expression, "The Dementors escaped, but they attracted the attention of the Ministry of Magic. I saw them take Sirius away before I even got anywhere."
“What about Harry?” Ron asked.
"He is unconscious. If nothing unexpected happens, we will see him at the school hospital."
"Life is unpredictable, like a large intestine enclosing a small intestine." Aaron shrugged, about to say something, when a white shadow darted out of the bushes.
"Abe, you've come just in time. There are two wounded soldiers here who need your help."
Abel glanced at the unconscious Snape and Ron's injured right leg, then proudly puffed out his chest and walked up to them.
A white magic circle appeared above Snape's head, and a moment later he groggily opened his eyes.
"Professor, you're awake."
Snape snapped out of his daze, realizing why he had fainted, and his face turned extremely grim. "Damn it, Potter, Weasley, and Granger, I won't let you get away with this."
Hermione and Ron instinctively shivered, and after a moment of silence, they nervously said, "I'm sorry, Professor Snape."
"Heh!" Snape looked at the two of them with disdain. "That's just how you Gryffindors are, always stirring up trouble."
I really admire your courage; you actually dared to show yourselves in front of me.
Guess how Professor McGonagall will punish you? Hitting a professor—no student has ever been this bad before.
The two lowered their heads in silence, accepting Snape's accusations without daring to offer any rebuttal.
"Where's Potter? And where did Lupin and the others go?"
“Uh…Professor, none of them are in mortal danger right now,” Aaron interjected. “But Little Pettigrew managed to escape in the chaos.”
Snape paused for a moment, then a mocking smile appeared on his lips. "So, they worked for nothing all night, huh?"
"No, just now the Ministry of Magic arrested Sirius Black, and Potter was taken away too."
“That’s really good news.” Snape stood up. “Suddenly, my head doesn’t hurt as much anymore.”
"Professor, I suggest you go to the school hospital first. Your wound needs to be bandaged."
"understood."
"Aaron, my... my leg," Ron looked at Abe pleadingly. "Could you let it help heal it too?"
Aaron rolled his eyes, then gave Abe a wink, and only then did it look at Ron's injured leg.
A white light appeared, and after half a minute, Ron felt the pain in his legs lessen considerably, and he was even able to walk with difficulty without anyone's help.
Seeing that he was almost healed, Aaron held Abe in his arms.
"Huh? It seems like I'm still a little short of fully recovered."
"It has only recently awakened this ability, and treating two people in a row is quite a burden for it."
"You should be grateful that you can walk. Leave the rest to Ms. Pomfrey; a few days of rest should be enough for you to fully recover."
Chapter 325 Few will believe it, challenging time
Harry and Ron were taken to the school hospital, where Madam Pomfrey gave Harry chocolates and put a cast on Ron's right leg.
Snape quickly bandaged his head and left, as he needed to explain the bizarre events of the evening to Dumbledore.
Harry woke up groggily after about ten minutes.
Aaron broke off a piece of a brick-sized chocolate and popped it into his mouth. "How does it feel?"
"It sucks."
“Then you’d better be prepared, because there’s something even worse,” Aaron said with amusement. “Two of the three Gryffindors are in hospital beds, Professor Lupin has turned into a werewolf and disappeared, Sirius Black has been arrested and his fate is unknown, but the culprit, Peter Pettigrew, has escaped and is at large.”
But you can't blame anyone for this; you all acted too impulsively. If you had followed my method and killed Peter from the start, things might not have been so complicated.
Even if things get really bad, if you don't attack Professor Snape when Professor Lupin transforms into a werewolf, things will be much easier to handle.
"Please," Hermione rolled her eyes, "Can't you have a little compassion? Stop with the sarcastic remarks at a time like this."
Hermione, I'm telling the truth.
Besides, no one is more compassionate than me, it's just that my compassion isn't as obvious.
Perhaps it's because my upbringing was too rigorous; I have to consider many aspects before doing anything.
"Let's not talk about that now," Harry asked with some concern. "What will the Ministry of Magic do with Sirius?"
“They’ll probably hand him over to the Dementors!” Aaron exclaimed. “The punishment for having your soul sucked out is worse than death, and your godfather will have the chance to experience it.”
“What?” Harry jumped out of bed. “I have to go find Dumbledore and Fudge and explain to them that Black is innocent.”
“It’s no use,” Aaron waved his hand. “Sirius Black is a death row inmate. The Ministry of Magic will deal with his case seriously and will not tolerate it.”
In comparison, the words of the young wizards are utterly insignificant, especially since you're in such poor condition. They might suspect Sirius Black has cast some kind of curse on you, otherwise he wouldn't be pleading for mercy for the murderers of your parents.
“Professor Lupin will help testify,” Harry said.
Forget it!
No offense, Harry.
Our werewolf professor should be deep in the Forbidden Forest right now, howling at the full moon.
By the time he returned, Sirius had died several times already.
“And Snape, he’ll testify, right… he should.” Ron interjected somewhat uncertainly, after all, Sirius’s pranks on Snape during their school days were terrible, and he had held a grudge for over a decade.
It would be good enough if he didn't kick me when I'm down; giving testimony is just wishful thinking.
"It's no use." Aaron immediately extinguished any remaining hope. "Without evidence, not only Professor Snape, but even Dumbledore is powerless."
Don't forget, twelve years ago, many witnesses insisted that Sirius Black killed Peter Pettigrew. Compared to that, our testimonies seem weak and unconvincing.
Just then, the doors of the school hospital suddenly opened, and Dumbledore strode in.
“Headmaster, you must stop them,” Hermione said urgently. “They’ve arrested the wrong person.”
“Yes, Headmaster, Black is innocent,” Harry added.
“It was all Spotted’s doing,” Ron said. “It was my mouse, but not a real mouse. It used to be a mouse, my brother Percy’s mouse, but then Percy got an owl…”
“Enough, Weasley,” Dumbledore interrupted. “Severus has told me everything, everything before he fell into a coma.”
"Professor Snape told you?" Ron was somewhat surprised, and Harry and Hermione exchanged glances.
They were judging a gentleman by their own petty standards; Snape did not seek personal revenge.
