Aaron shrugged and lifted Abe, who was about to unleash a dragon's breath attack, up. "Give him a lesson, but don't kill him!"
Abe nodded and followed Aaron back to the tent.
After it demonstrated its power, the goblins in the garden became much more subdued, and he felt that the frogs in the pond had also quieted down, though he wasn't sure if it was just his imagination.
......
The next day, Aaron got up very early.
He stepped out of the tent and stretched in the first rays of morning sunlight.
“You’re awake.” George and Fred came over. “You’re up so early! Even my dad only gets up this early when the Ministry of Magic does a surprise inspection.”
"Um...aren't you guys not late either?"
“This is different. We specifically set an alarm; we’re usually still sleeping in at this time!” George said.
"What? Training Quidditch so early in the morning?"
“That’s part of the reason, but not the main one,” Fred said. “I reckon Wood will give us a long lecture once school starts; his love for Quidditch surpasses that of anyone else.”
"I heard that he also makes you train with him when it rains?"
“That depends on how heavy the rain is.” George shrugged, then looked at Aaron’s tent and asked sheepishly, “Um… where’s your flying blanket?”
Aaron realized what was happening and glanced in the direction of the village, which was still shrouded in darkness.
"No wonder you guys got up so early, you're really going all out!"
“We’ve always been interested in new and exciting things,” Fred said, his voice tinged with eagerness.
Aaron smiled, took a dark blue blanket from the tent, and spread it out in mid-air.
Looking at the magic carpet floating steadily in mid-air, the Weasley brothers' eyes gleamed, and suddenly they didn't think flying broomsticks were so appealing anymore.
"Should we wait for Harry and the others?" Aaron asked meaningfully.
"No need, it will be too late once they wake up."
George and Weasley said in unison, and then eagerly jumped onto the magic carpet.
The reason they get up so early is because the Muggles in the village are still asleep at this time. They don't have to worry about being discovered, so they can let loose and experience the magic of the flying carpet without restraint.
The dark blue shadow vanished from Aaron's sight in an instant, while the Weasley brothers controlled the magic carpet, sending it flying wildly around the area.
The magic carpet was much faster than their broom, and the two of them experienced the feeling of speeding through the air for the first time in a long time.
More than two hours later, Harry and Ron finally came out of the room.
Seeing George and Fred sunbathing on the magic carpet, both of them were tempted.
Before they could even speak, the Weasley brothers controlled the magic carpet to descend, folding it neatly and placing it in Aaron's hands.
"This...isn't what you're doing a bit inappropriate?" Ron said, annoyed. "We just arrived!"
“Perfect timing,” Fred teased. “The Muggles are all awake now, so it’s not a good time to fly high. If we’re discovered, the Ministry of Magic will send someone to deal with us, and that will be troublesome.”
“So…” George handed the two flying brooms to Harry and Ron respectively, “You guys should play with these! Remember to fly low.”
Aaron gave them a sympathetic look. "That's what they call the early bird catches the worm."
"Tomorrow! You'll have your chance."
"Can't it be tonight?" Harry asked. "The Muggles won't notice tonight!"
Not to mention, this blanket has natural camouflage at night.
“That really won’t work.” Ron hesitated for a moment and then said with a wry smile, “Mom went to buy ingredients. She said she’s going to prepare a big meal tonight to celebrate Ginny starting Hogwarts this year.”
"And school starts tomorrow, if we party too much tonight we might miss our train."
"All right!"
“It’s okay.” Aaron patted Harry on the shoulder. “If you lend me the Invisibility Cloak, I can lend you the blanket.”
Harry nodded helplessly, and he and Ron picked up brooms and went to a fenced area on the hill to pass the time by tossing apples.
After everyone had left, Aaron felt a little bored.
So I simply made a simple fishing rod, moved a small stool to the pond, and started fishing.
However, he wasn't very lucky. The Weasleys had already finished lunch, and he had only caught one fish, which was then destroyed by his pet.
The burst of dragon flame came so suddenly that before he could react, Abe had already cooked the fish. Although it might not taste very good, it was still a treat for him.
After all, it's a dragon. It can eat raw, let alone cooked food!
After that, Aaron kept it under his watchful eye. From a distance, this master and pet duo served as a backdrop for his retirement.
"Why won't it bite?" Aaron gritted his teeth as he looked at the nearest big grass carp.
This is the fish he'd been eyeing for three hours.
But even after casting the hook several times and bringing the bait right up to the fish's mouth, it remained unmoved.
Not only did it not bite, but it also kept swimming around the bait, perhaps guarding its food, or perhaps checking for traps. Aaron himself did not expect that he would fight a three-hour battle with a fish.
"How about I go and catch it?" Abe couldn't stand it anymore; if his master sat there any longer, he'd probably turn into a wooden sculpture.
“No way!” Aaron shook his head. “At this point, it’s all about patience. I’m not going to be defeated by a fish.”
Abe curled his lip, unconvinced, thinking his master was making a mountain out of a molehill.
It had just shifted to a more comfortable position when it saw the fishing line start to shake violently, and its big eyes cautiously peered into the water.
"Finally took the bait."
Aaron's lips curled into a slight smile, and he suddenly exerted force with his right hand, pulling the grass carp below upwards with all his might.
Click!
Just as they were about to pull the fish out of the water, the flimsy fishing rod suddenly broke in two.
Do not!
Aaron inwardly groaned. It would be one thing if he hadn't caught anything, but to fail when he was just one step away from success was something no one could accept.
Seeing the grass carp dragging half a wooden pole but swimming further and further away, Aaron immediately grabbed the half fishing rod in his hand and used Transfiguration to turn it into a long net pole.
The net rod was quickly lowered into the water and then pulled up sharply to scoop out the grass carp.
call!
Aaron looked at his hard-earned spoils and took a deep breath. "What a rollercoaster ride! But in the end, I'm still the winner!"
Looking at the lively grass carp, two options came to Aaron's mind.
Steamed? Braised?
But after hesitating for a short while, he borrowed kitchen utensils and seasonings and added a plate of braised fish to the evening's feast.
Chapter 136 The Sealed Platform Entrance
September 1st, early morning.
As dawn broke, the Weasley Burrow came alive with activity.
Although they had packed everything up last night, the start of the school term still left them feeling rushed.
As they hurriedly pushed their suitcases out of the hut, Aaron had just packed up the tent and slung his backpack over his shoulder.
He stood beside the car, looking at the Weasleys, who looked travel-worn, especially Ron with a half-eaten loaf of bread in his hand, and couldn't help but chuckle, "If we had put our suitcases in the car last night, things might have been a little easier."
“Good suggestion, I will take it into consideration in the future,” Mr. Weasley said, and then moved everyone’s suitcases into the car.
Although he knew the car had been enchanted with a Stretch Mark Charm, Aaron still found it both funny and frustrating to witness it firsthand. Was it really appropriate for a Ministry of Magic employee to break the law like this?
Aaron was the last to get on the bus. The little Ford was clearly overloaded, but surprisingly it didn't feel crowded at all.
"Incredible. From the outside, no one would guess that nine people can fit in this car."
"I put a lot of effort into modifying it," Arthur said smugly, then started the engine.
"Wait a minute!" Aaron suddenly remembered something and hurriedly called out to Mr. Weasley.
"what happened?"
Before you leave, I suggest you think about whether you've left anything at home.
“No! The trunk was packed last night,” Mrs. Weasley said. “I even had them check it; the luggage, wand, textbooks, and cauldron were all included.”
"What about the flying broom?"
Maybe I'm overthinking it, but there were three Quidditch players in that car, yet there seemed to be only two flying brooms in the trunk.
“I must have dropped it.” Fred raised his left hand sullenly, then quickly opened the car door and retrieved a flying broom from the house.
After getting back into the car, he glanced at George and said, "I brought your hard-on fireworks with me."
"I really didn't remember if you hadn't mentioned it. Thanks."
After confirming that no one had left anything behind, Mr. Weasley started the car again, and with a roar, the Ford headed toward Kingdom Cross Station.
The Hogwarts Express departs at 11:00 AM, and they arrive at 10:30 AM.
Mr. Weasley took everyone's suitcases out of the trunk, then looked at Aaron with a worried frown, "Your family hasn't arrived yet, has he?"
“Platform 9¾, Genes should be waiting for me at the entrance.”
"That's good, children, let's go."
The group pushed their suitcases to the space between platforms nine and ten, with less than twenty minutes left before the train's departure.
Genes emerged from behind the partition wall, handed the stroller to Aaron, and then looked at the Weasleys behind him. He instantly understood something, and a bitter smile appeared on his lips, but hidden within that bitterness was a sense of relief.
"Thank you all for taking care of the young master these past two days."
“Hey, no need to be so polite.” Arthur quickly waved his hand. “We didn’t offer any help, and with Aaron’s outdoor survival skills, he can get by anywhere.”
Genes did not deny this point; he knew better than anyone how many skills his young master had learned in the past two months.
"Young Master, you really know how to cause me trouble. Besides, you're too willful."
I thought of everything, except you'd be at Malfoy's arch-enemy's house.
"Thanks for the compliment, I won this round after all," Aaron said smugly. "But your methods were too underhanded; you even got a bounty on my head from the Ministry of Magic."
