Bruce Wayne gripped the weapon at his waist, not daring to act rashly, his eyes fixed on the humanoid monster.
But Hal Jordan didn't care about that. The thing was right in front of him, and he didn't want to waste any time, so he strode straight toward the humanoid demon.
He added, "I guess the guy holding that thing must also be considered an unauthorized creature."

Suddenly, the humanoid demon abruptly turned its head to look at Green Lantern, its eyes blazing with endless fire, and its entire body instantly burst into flames, filling the air with a visible heat wave.
"Hey, don't go over there! Something's not right with it!"
Upon seeing this, Bruce Wayne's expression hardened, and he immediately reached out and grabbed Green Lantern.
Bang!
The next second, the humanoid demon's muscle fibers exploded like a bomb, the terrifying impact spreading outwards. Accompanied by a heat wave, the entire passage was swept up, and flames shot into the sky, completely illuminating the dim passage.
"For Darkseid!"
In the distance, one could faintly hear the strange cries emanating from the humanoid demons that had exploded, showing no fear of death, only a resolute determination to die.
"careful!"
Hal Jordan reacted extremely quickly. Years of training had given him superhuman reaction speed. He raised his hand and conjured a huge safe, encasing Lowe and Batman together. Terrifying flames raged and washed everything away.
"cough cough"
As the firelight died down, only thick dust lingered in the air. Hal Jordan removed the safe, revealing a drug mask on his face, while Bruce Wayne, behind him, was bent over, coughing violently.
"It wants to kill us!"
Bruce Wayne paused for a moment, then spoke in an icy tone.
"Because its task has been completed, it naturally does not..."
It would have spared us, but it didn't expect that its self-destruction wouldn't have killed us.
Luo Wei strode over and glanced at the charred humanoid demon on the ground, which still emitted a foul stench—the smell of burnt flesh.
However, he only glanced at it briefly before looking at the mother box on the ground. He bent down and picked it up. The scalding hot mother box in his hand felt extremely hot, but the temperature was still quite comfortable in his palm.
"Hey, be careful, we're not sure if this thing is dangerous."
Bruce, seeing yet another reckless person, couldn't help but offer a reminder.
After all, Green Lantern's recklessness just now almost blew himself up. To be honest, an explosion like that would have been enough to destroy a truck. The underground sewers are now somewhat unstable after the explosion, and dust keeps falling from above.
"It's not dangerous. This thing is a bit like a computer, an alien computer."
Lowe remained completely calm, holding it up to Bruce to show him, and even playing with it in his hand for a few moments, without showing any sign of danger.
"An alien computer?"
Bruce was puzzled and reached out to take a look. As soon as his hand touched the mother box, the glove was immediately charred black by the high temperature. He immediately pulled his hand back. "Are your hands made of steel? It's so hot."
"Of course, this thing is all metal. After such a huge explosion, it would be strange if it wasn't hot. Batman, you see? It's really hard for an ordinary person to become a powerful superhero without superpowers."
Hal Jordan was smug. His lamp ring conjured a large hand, which picked up the Mother Box in his place. Then, he reached out and swept the Mother Box with the lamp ring.
"Huh? What's going on? The light ring isn't responding."
He scanned it once, but the light ring didn't react at all. So he scanned it a few more times, but still there was no reaction.
This made him frown and his expression turn serious. "I don't even know where this lamp ring comes from."
"Your boss might know."
Bruce Wayne recalled that the Green Lanterns were a legion, and there should be a leader above them.
"No, the lamp ring was made by the guardian. What the guardian knows, the lamp ring also knows. So even if you ask the guardian, you won't find out the origin of this thing."
Hal Jordan shook his head. The knowledge contained within the lamp ring came from the records of the Guardians. The fact that the lamp ring was not responding meant that even the Guardians probably didn't understand its origins.
This is precisely why he looked so serious, because the unknown often carries danger, and they don't know exactly where the danger lies.
"You are joking?"
Bruce Wayne was speechless, but his mood was also heavy. The humanoid creature he had just encountered looked extremely dangerous, and it was clear that it was after the Mother Box. If he couldn't figure out the source of the Mother Box, how could he deal with the new crisis that was about to emerge?
"This is the mother box."
At this point, Lowe finally spoke up to explain: "You can think of it as a supercomputer, a living machine."
In layman's terms, the Mother Box is indeed a supercomputer. Its computing power surpasses that of any device on Earth because it can not only calculate formulas, but also calculate and rearrange molecular structures, and even create energy fields and control the mind grid. The Mother Box contains endless energy, enough to destroy an entire planet. Moreover, collecting all three Mother Boxes can open a sonic boom channel, allowing teleportation to any corner of the universe.
This is precisely why Steppenwolf steals the Mother Box in the movie version; he hopes to use the sonic boom tunnel to send the humanoid monsters to Earth so that he can achieve his goal of ruling the planet.
Some say that the Mother Box can destroy the Earth, and the surviving humans will be turned into humanoid monsters.
Chapter 72 070: The Extraterrestrial Object in Gotham (Part 4)
"How do you know?"
Hal Jordan was slightly taken aback and looked at Rowe. Even with the blindfold on, he could sense the scrutinizing gaze in Rowe's eyes.
"Sorry, I forgot your code name again."
Bruce Wayne was also cautious, keeping a few steps back. He hadn't forgotten that Lowe's identity among the three hadn't been revealed yet. Green Lantern was a famous superhero, but Lowe had never appeared in the newspapers.
"You can choose to trust me or not. As for the code name, it's not time to tell you yet."
Lowe had no intention of revealing Superman's identity. Besides, if Superman suddenly appeared in the United States, not only would the authorities find out, but if Lex Luthor found out, who knows what kind of trouble that brilliant guy would cause.
“I won’t trust someone of unknown origin, but this thing, which you call the Mother Box, I’d like to hear your information about it.”
Hal, the Green Lantern, put down the Mother Box and asked, "Since you know about it, then you must know who is coming to find it."
"No, no, unfortunately, I can't be sure who we're about to face either, but I can only remind you both that you'd better be prepared. The dangers attracted by the Mother Box are far beyond your imagination."
Rowe was telling the truth. He couldn't guarantee who this would attract. It could be Steppenwolves, a bunch of humanoid demon minions, or even Darkseid, the Dark Lord.
To be honest, he wasn't in much better spirits than Bruce and Hal. It had only been his first day in America, since he got off the plane, and he'd already encountered a series of unpleasant events. It felt terrible, as if his very presence had triggered some strange, cosmic upheaval.
"Before confirming whether what you said is true, I think we should find a place to study it properly. The mother box? Let's call it the mother box for now."
Hal Jordan scanned the Mother Box again with the light ring, but still received no response. He frowned slightly and decided to analyze the internal structure of the Mother Box first.
“I have a place that is suitable as a testing ground.”
After a long silence, Bruce Wayne spoke, his deep, slightly hoarse voice giving off a mysterious and profound feeling.
Lowe did not refuse, because his understanding of the Mother Box was only superficial. He only knew some of its functions, but had never actually touched it. He thought it better to follow Green Lantern's suggestion and analyze the structure of the Mother Box first. Perhaps he could find some clues, such as whether the box itself transmitted some kind of signal that Darkseid on Apokolips or Steppenwolf's humanoid creature could sense.
In the original story, the Mother Box emitted signals that alerted the Apokolips to its existence, which led to the invasion of Earth by the humanoid demons and the outbreak of a great war.
if you can.
Lowe wanted to prevent the war from happening, at least not now. He didn't want to face Darkseid yet, as he didn't have much of a chance against him at this stage.

In Gotham City, passing through a hidden building, you arrive at an old basement. Stepping inside and turning on the lights, the spacious interior comes into view, containing several oddly shaped vehicles.
And some equipment used for scientific research.
"Is this your base?"
Hal Jordan looked around and complained, "It's too old, like an antique."
"Ha, this is my old base. It was when I first became Batman. I haven't been here for a long time."
Bruce Wayne wiped the dusty tabletop with his gloved hands, then went to a piece of equipment covered with a heavy cloth, pulled it hard, and dust flew up, exposing an old machine tool to the light.
"Seriously? You want me to use it?"
Hal Jordan frowned, clearly dissatisfied with Batman. After all, the place looked too dilapidated, but that made sense. Batman didn't fully trust him, so naturally he wouldn't take him to the real Bat base.
He waved his hand and said, "Never mind, I'll just use the lamp ring."
Buzz
As soon as he finished speaking, the light ring turned on, and several green-looking devices and large green lights appeared one after another in the basement.
"Hey, mysterious man."
Hal Jordan looked at Rowe, "I don't know your codename, so 'Mysterio' is fine, right?"
"random."
Luo Wei didn't pay attention and placed the mother box on the equipment.
"We'd better stay away; it might emit radiation, rays, or something like that."
Bruce Wayne had changed his outfit sometime during the day. He was wearing a radiation protective suit, still in a bat-like design, and always sporting a pair of bat ears on his head.
"Don't worry, the mother box is harmless to us."
Lowe scanned it with his super vision and found no trace of radiation or harmful substances. He also noticed that the inside of the Mother Box was very cloudy and he couldn't see through it. So he looked at Bruce and asked, "Batman, can you detect if the Mother Box carries any special signals?"
"can."
Bruce wasted no more time and decisively set up a device to begin detecting the mother box.
"Hey, you should be asking me."
Seeing that Rowe was ignoring him, Hal Jordan looked "sad," even though he himself had some knowledge in this area.
However, he didn't bother Batman, because this guy without superpowers was very professional when he got into action, no less than the researchers he had seen when he was in the Air Force.
Perhaps Batman is also a scientist.
Dididi
Soon after, Bruce frowned, the device in front of him emitted a notification sound, and his gaze toward the mother box became complicated.
"what happened?"
Lowe keenly sensed his emotional fluctuations; the guy's heart rate suddenly quickened a few beats, though he tried his best to hide it, it was still noticed.
"The Mother Box is indeed sending signals out of the universe."
Bruce took a deep breath and tapped on the keyboard. "And right now, there might be something following the signal, searching all the way here."
"What do you mean? Intruders have arrived?"
