The moon sets and the sun rises; a new day begins.
Yusuke Suzuki boarded the plane bound for Kumamoto.
The flight wasn't very long. After landing, Kogoro Mori quickly recovered from his fear of heights and started clamoring to go drink shochu.
Ran Mouri, of course, wouldn't let that happen, and forcibly took the bumbling detective away.
But after putting their things away at the hotel, Kogoro Mouri started thinking of a plan and dragged Yusuke Suzuki away from Ran Mouri's vigilance.
"Teacher, isn't it a bit too much to go drinking now?"
"What does it matter?" Kogoro Mouri glanced behind him. "Let's hurry up and leave before Ran reacts."
Left with no other option, Yusuke Suzuki sent Ai Haibara a text message, informing her of his whereabouts.
I understand. I'm with Xiaolan and the others.
Upon seeing the reply, Yusuke Suzuki breathed a sigh of relief; it was good that no one was staying in the hotel.
Kogoro Mouri must have done his homework before coming here; his goal was quite clear. He led Yusuke Suzuki to the place by turning left and right.
Horse meat sashimi with sake is indeed quite good.
On the other side, Ai Haibara puts away her phone and continues coaching.
Mitsuhiko takes this competition very seriously. As soon as he arrived, he encouraged them to continue training, as the competition is tomorrow.
"I...I can't take it anymore..."
After running a few laps, Genta lay down on the ground and didn't move, while Conan was panting heavily.
"Then let's take a five-minute break," Mitsuhiko suggested readily.
Ai Haibara shook her head. "Five minutes is too short, and I don't think it's a good thing to continue with such a high level of exercise today."
"Mitsuhiko," Ran Mouri chimed in, "We've come all this way to Kumamoto, so let's stop practicing here for today and go explore the area, shall we?"
"If we force ourselves to practice now and get injured, wouldn't that be a losing proposition?"
In fact, Mitsuhiko also wanted to relax and have some fun, but he couldn't convince himself to do so. Now that everyone had reached a consensus, he naturally agreed as well.
This was the first time Ai Haibara had gone out to play without Yusuke Suzuki by her side.
It felt a bit strange, so she started sending text messages to report her location every now and then, along with a brief description of what they had been doing.
Yusuke Suzuki stuffed another piece of horse meat into his mouth while replying to a text message.
"Teacher, come here."
After clinking glasses with the bumbling detective, he downed the last sip of soju.
"Finished drinking...?"
Kogoro Mouri was already quite drunk and wanted to order more drinks, but Yusuke Suzuki stopped him.
"Teacher, we can't drink anymore, Xiaolan is coming to catch us."
"What?! Quick, run..."
Yusuke Suzuki helped Kogoro Mouri up, paid the bill, and then took a taxi back to the hotel.
After settling the bumbling detective in, he took a shower and changed into dry clothes before heading to Suizenji Park.
Ai Haibara and the others are in the park right now.
Yusuke Suzuki didn't bring Kogoro Mouri back to the hotel just to have fun; rather, the bumbling detective would throw up if he drank any more, and he found it disgusting.
Ten minutes later.
"What are you doing?"
Yusuke Suzuki could see Ran Mouri and her little sister huddled together from afar.
“We just found a cell phone,” Sonoko Suzuki breathed a sigh of relief. “We even read the text message that was just sent to us.”
"How did you end up here?" Ai Haibara asked, somewhat surprised.
Ran Mouri looked around and asked, "Oh right, where's my dad?"
"The teacher got drunk, and I just took him back to his hotel. Since I had nothing to do, I came to find you guys." Suzuki Yusuke glanced at Conan and explained in advance, "I know where you are because I asked Ai beforehand."
"Is...is that so?" Conan scratched the back of his head sheepishly, then looked at Sonoko Suzuki. "You'll get scolded by the police if you just look at other people's text messages."
"Mind your own business," Sonoko Suzuki waved her hand dismissively. "You guys just go wait for us at Genta's place."
However, Yusuke Suzuki simply picked up the phone and asked, "Where did this phone fall before?"
"What happened there?"
“Just put it back where it was,” Yusuke Suzuki said, putting down his phone in a tone that brooked no refusal. “Let’s go.”
"That...okay then."
The group set off to find the three little ones and reunite.
"Sonoko, I didn't expect you to listen to Yusuke so much." Ran Mouri whispered with a smile as she leaned close to her best friend.
“Well, what can I do? He’s my older brother, strong and handsome,” Sonoko Suzuki said with a sly smile. “However, the location mentioned in the text message is the venue for tomorrow’s tennis match, so we can still go see this confession drama tomorrow.”
"Sonoko, let's forget about it. We still want to watch the children's competition."
"Oh, it's just a short while, it's okay."
......
After wandering around for a while, the group started heading back after visiting the park, arriving back at the hotel before lunchtime.
You have to pay for your own meals when you eat out, but the event organizers will reimburse you if you eat at the hotel.
The two members of the Suzuki family are naturally fine with anything.
Halfway through the meal, Kogoro Mouri came back to life, went downstairs to find them, and drank two more bottles of beer, which completely shut him down.
This time, Yusuke Suzuki came at his own expense, and he was all alone in the room, so he didn't have to worry about Kogoro Mouri's sonic attacks at all.
The next morning, no matter what the children said, Yusuke Suzuki refused to get out of bed and insisted on waiting until the competition started before going over.
There was nothing they could do but give up, because even if they were tied together, they couldn't do anything to Suzuki Yusuke.
...
"What is this person doing?"
"What he said has absolutely nothing to do with tennis."
After Genta and Mitsuhiko finished complaining, Haibara sighed, "Now I know why that guy wouldn't come over first."
“Yes,” Conan said helplessly, “He must have known in advance that the sponsor of this event was this guy named Cheng Zengjian.”
"Why didn't you come when you knew it was his brother Yusuke?" Ayumi asked, her face full of curiosity.
"Because this person is a member of parliament in Kumamoto, and he has recently been heavily criticized due to rumors of corruption."
Ai Haibara continued Conan's words, "In order to salvage his reputation, this guy sponsored this tennis tournament. Yusuke-nii knew that the pre-tournament speech would be boring and long, which is why he refused to come."
"That's it..."
The three little ones exclaimed in unison.
Chapter 231 They Don't Believe
After a long wait, the speech finally ended, and Ai Haibara, sitting in the audience, called Yusuke Suzuki.
"Okay, I'm coming right away."
After hanging up the phone, Yusuke Suzuki washed up and went out, arriving at his destination quickly.
"Well done."
He had just sat down when he saw Mitsuhiko score.
"Sigh, I've discovered that all the information I prepared in advance was completely useless." Ai Haibara pouted, looking very aggrieved.
"Well, there's nothing we can do about it," Ran Mouri patted the little girl on the shoulder. "Ai, you've done a great job."
At that moment, Sonoko Suzuki calculated the time and pulled Ran Mouri to her feet. "Ran, shall we go?"
"Huh? Oh..."
After the two had walked away, Ai Haibara breathed a sigh of relief. "If I were really a child, I think I would have liked what Ran said earlier."
"I still have to go and see. Sonoko and the others must have gone to the place mentioned in the phone yesterday."
Yusuke Suzuki stood up and looked at Ai Haibara. "Wait for me a moment, I'll be back soon."
"Ok!"
Ai Haibara nodded vigorously.
Meanwhile, the Junior Detectives Team has advanced to the semi-finals and can take a break at halftime.
"You've all worked so hard today," Haibara greeted them with a wry smile.
Ayumi exclaimed excitedly, "Haibara-san, did you see it all?"
"Yes, you all performed wonderfully."
After saying that, Ai Haibara suddenly paused for a moment, then smiled gently. It turned out that she and Ran Mouri were the same when it came to children.
Speaking of which, just yesterday Sonoko Suzuki praised Ran Mouri, saying she would be a good mother...
So, does that mean she also...?
"Haibara, why are you blushing?" Conan put down his racket and asked, "Where are Ran and the others?"
“I’m not sure,” Ai Haibara shook her head as she came to her senses, “but Yusuke-nii said it seems to be related to the cell phone he found yesterday, and he went to check it out.”
"Is that so...then there's nothing to worry about."
Conan relaxed a bit and started to rest seriously. He never expected that such a children's game could excite him.
After following for a while, Suzuki Yusuke simply moved directly behind the two girls.
"Yuanzi, Xiaolan."
"what!"
