After hanging up the phone, Yusuke Suzuki gave the driver the location of the apartment and closed his eyes to continue resting.
An hour later, he disguised himself and arrived at the address Gin had given him, a small tavern that was now deserted.
"A glass of Weique, please."
After ordering his drinks, Yusuke Suzuki sat down next to Gin, who had a half-finished glass of rye whiskey in front of him.
"The FBI has already extended its reach to Tokyo."
Compared to the FBI, Yusuke Suzuki was more concerned about something else: "Where's the vodka?"
"I am here."
Behind the bar, Vodka stood up, holding two bombs that were flashing red.
"Are you going to blow this place up?"
Yusuke Suzuki found it a bit inexplicable.
"It's just something prepared in advance, Wei Que. Do you want to come and take a look? These bombs were all made by Big Brother himself."
"Yeah."
Gin: “…”
So, should he continue talking about the FBI? Would it be awkward if he did? What should he do? I really want to shoot those two guys.
Fortunately, Yusuke Suzuki only went behind the bar for a quick look and then came back. "By the way, what did you say happened to the FBI?"
“Hmph,” Gin snorted coldly, his eyes narrowing as his sharp gaze swept across Suzuki Yusuke’s face. “The FBI is already watching you. Be careful.”
Why is the FBI spying on me?
Yusuke Suzuki then realized that the suspicious-looking guys he had seen when he returned to his apartment were actually FBI agents.
He thought that the unfortunate guy living in his neighborhood was being targeted and was about to be kidnapped.
FBI... Jodie... and Shuichi Akai?
The last time I encountered her was during the bus robbery. Could it be that I was noticed when I was exuding murderous intent towards Vermouth back then?
Come to think of it, Shuichi Akai had been in the organization before, so he would definitely be quite sensitive to that kind of aura. Plus, he was often around Conan, so it wouldn't be a problem for him to keep an eye on him and see what was going on.
The FBI certainly wouldn't just add him to their organization based on some scent he exudes; that would be going too far.
In general, you just need to be a little careful not to reveal your disguise, and otherwise just act the same as usual.
Anyway, he and the FBI are not enemies. In fact, the FBI came to Japan with Vermouth.
As for Jodie, judging from the previous bus robbery, neither she nor Shuichi Akai knew that Tomoaki Shinide was actually Vermouth in disguise.
Wait... there seems to be a bug.
Judy orchestrated Shinichiro's faked death; how could she not be suspicious when she saw him again?
"What a great actress, Ms. Judy!" Suzuki Yusuke recalled that on the bus, Judy had affectionately clung to Shinichi Araide's arm.
Forget it, it's none of his business.
He had barely come to his senses when he saw the timer in Gin's hand, which had already ticked to a full five minutes.
Timer started again...
Is this guy too idle?
"Ahem, what exactly is the purpose of this operation?"
Gin put down the timer and took a sip of his drink. "Someone is stealing information from the organization. Bourbon has already pinpointed their exact location."
Dark skin?
Hopefully there won't be any problems this time... If Amuro Tooru uses this opportunity to try and take down Gin, wouldn't he also be implicated, carrying so many bombs?
"It shouldn't be that bad," Suzuki Yusuke thought for a moment and figured Amuro Tooru wouldn't cause any trouble, so he stood up and finished the drink in his glass in one gulp.
On a Porsche 356A.
"Gin, could the organization consider providing me with a car?"
Ever since Suzuki Yusuke's last rental car was blasted by Gin, he's taken the 356A every time he goes out.
“World Trade Center underground parking lot 33B,” Gin pulled a key from the storage compartment and handed it to him. “Nobody uses this car, you can take it.”
He glanced at it just now and saw four car keys in the storage compartment. He should have spoken up sooner; Gin didn't even remind him.
With the keys in hand, Yusuke Suzuki lay down in the back seat and fell asleep.
"Wei Que, you're sleepy again."
Vodka, who had been focused on being the driver, suddenly spoke up.
"It's comfortable to lie down."
"If someone suddenly opens fire, the bullets won't hit him."
Yusuke Suzuki: "..."
What's wrong with Gin today? He's so sarcastic. Is he going through menopause?
The quiet streets were becoming increasingly deserted, and Suzuki Yusuke was starting to admire Vodka's driving skills. Even if he weren't in the organization, he wouldn't have trouble finding a good job. He was as steady as a rock the whole time, and Suzuki Yusuke almost fell asleep.
"Big brother, we've arrived."
After getting out of the car, Gin lit a cigarette and looked at the house in front of him with a cold smile.
This place is in a remote location and there are no surveillance devices at all.
"Vodka, is the target staying here?" Yusuke Suzuki yawned. "Why don't you go get it? I'm a little sleepy."
"Heh, so the new recruit in the organization is a lazy guy."
At that moment, Bourbon emerged from the shadows.
Chapter 125 Arriving in New York
Yusuke Suzuki remained silent, and his expression did not change.
From the organization's perspective, this was his first meeting with Bourbon, so he tried not to show any signs that they already knew each other.
"Bourbon, where's the data?"
Gin threw away his cigarette.
“I’ve got it,” Amuro Tooru said, holding a black disk between two fingers. “However, that guy probably has a backup. What do you plan to do with it?”
"Vodka."
Gin, looking cool and not wanting to say much, simply gestured for Vodka to bring out the bomb. Amuro Tooru shrugged, walked to the side, tossed the magnetic disk to Gin, and laughed, "Gin, aren't you going to introduce the new member to me?"
“The Sparrow”.
Yusuke Suzuki spoke up first, and Gin didn't say anything like, "This is the so-and-so you were asked to investigate." His true identity remained a secret.
After he finished speaking, the air became quiet, and the four of them fell silent.
Vodka finished tidying up the bomb before speaking, "Brother, I'm going now."
This piqued Suzuki Yusuke's interest as well. Vodka had always been either a driver or a thug; he'd never seen him do anything like explosions before.
The muscular Vodka was surprisingly agile, easily scaling a courtyard wall.
"Go and clean up the people in the room."
After waiting for about two minutes, Gin gestured for Suzuki Yusuke to go in.
"Remember to teach me how to snipe sometime."
After saying that, Suzuki Yusuke took a running start, jumped into the yard, and climbed directly to the second floor.
The curtains of the French windows were drawn, and you could hear breathing coming from inside; it was a man, though of course, you couldn't rule out the possibility of a woman inside.
The French windows were locked. After hesitating for a couple of seconds, Yusuke Suzuki decided to force his way in.
With a clean, decisive kick, the French window shattered into pieces, the loud, ear-piercing sound of breaking glass waking everyone inside.
Before the man on the bed could even utter a sound, Yusuke Suzuki had already ended his life with a single shot.
Gin was talking about cleaning up, which means there was no need to leave anyone alive.
After scanning the room and finding no place for anyone to hide, Yusuke Suzuki went downstairs to the first floor, but still no one was there.
Does this guy live alone?
Oh well, he's already done his job anyway.
He pressed down on the headset with one hand. "Gin, this operation was completely pointless."
"You've been talking a lot of nonsense today too."
The sound in the headset was slightly distorted, but he could still hear the sarcasm in Gin's tone.
There was no point in staying any longer, so Suzuki Yusuke left quickly.
Ten minutes later, the small house gradually collapsed in the flames.
He doesn't understand.
This small operation, as Gin initially described it, made him think it was another operation targeting someone similar to Hara Yoshiaki.
Is this the result?
They even went out of their way to call him back from Osaka. They must have had nothing better to do.
When he returned, Amuro Tooru had already left and he didn't know where he had gone. It was already four in the morning when the three of them returned to Tokyo.
On the way, Suzuki Yusuke began to wonder if Gin was trying to test his reaction to seeing Bourbon.
He remembered that in the movie, Curaçao obtained the list of undercover agents, and judging from the emails she sent to Rum, Rum already suspected Amuro Tooru.
Without receiving any clear information from Curaçao, Gin directly arrested Bourbon and Gil and interrogated them.
So it seems the organization's probing of him is not over yet, which may explain why he rarely takes any action.
Instead of going home, Yusuke Suzuki went to Base 3 with Gin.
"Aren't you going to America tomorrow?"
