Luffy and Bai Yun said the last sentence in unison.

"You guys are so despicable!"

Zoro was so angry that he bared his teeth and shouted, but Luffy ignored him. After Bai Yun told him that the sword was in Helmeppo's bedroom, he went straight to find Zoro's sword.

"Kebi, take this little girl out of here. What we're about to do is something inappropriate for children."

"Little girl, don't worry, we will rescue this green-haired brother from the evil navy."

Luffy went to find the sword, and Bai Yun then had Kobi take the little girl out.

It's more like they didn't refuse, or rather, they didn't dare to refuse.

The little girl was very excited when she heard that Bai Yun would rescue Zoro, and she raised her fist to cheer Bai Yun on.

The two then climbed out of the naval base.

Bai Yun looked at Zoro again, still with a polite smile.

Zoro was utterly speechless. Who was asking you that?

"So, who exactly are you? What do you want? Why would you invite a pirate hunter to become a pirate?"

Letting out a breath, Zoro calmed himself down and stared at Bai Yun, asking a question.

What do we want to do?

"This is a problem."

"You already know that we're pirates."

"My name is Bai Yun. The guy wearing the straw hat just now is my partner, or you could say my younger brother. His name is Luffy."

"Similarly, he is the captain of our pirate crew."

"Don't let his seemingly unreliable appearance fool you, he's actually quite capable."

"Anyone with a dream is remarkable."

"Just like you want to become the world's greatest swordsman."

Luffy's dream is... to become the Pirate King!

"To be precise, becoming the Pirate King is only the first step in his dream."

Bai Yun smiled and said to Zoro, with the demeanor of a salesman, and a very skillful one at that.

"There are so many pirates in this world, becoming the Pirate King is not something you can just talk about."

Zoro himself was a pirate hunter. There are so many pirates on the sea, you can't catch them all, you simply can't catch them all. To surpass all the pirates and become the Pirate King is so easy.

"Isn't this the same as Zoro wanting to become the world's greatest swordsman?"

"There are many strong people in the world, and quite a few of them use knives."

"But you are different; you still cherish this dream."

"What do you call a dream if it's easy to achieve?"

"Don't you believe in Luffy's perseverance? Don't you believe he can stick to it?"

Bai Yun patted Zoro on the shoulder and gave him a genuine smile.

"And what about you? You support Luffy so much, what is your dream?"

Zoro asked, and the fact that he asked that question most likely means he has already agreed to join the crew. Being a pirate and becoming the world's greatest swordsman are not really in conflict.

"Maybe you just wanted to go to the dock to get some fries. Believe me, if you didn't, you'd regret not going to the dock to get some fries."

When talking about his dream, Bai Yun paused for a moment, and then continued.

Zoro's head showed a question mark. What was all this about? Just as Bai Yun put away his joke and prepared to explain seriously...

A loud noise was heard, and on the left side of the naval building, the upper half of a stone sculpture fell from the top and crashed to the ground, shattering into pieces.

Then, the words "Kill him!!!" echoed throughout the entire naval base.

Bai Yun smiled. He knew this was Luffy's masterpiece. It seemed that Morgan's statue was destined to shatter!

Monka turned his head and coincidentally met Bai Yun's gaze, his eyes filled with a look that seemed to want to devour Bai Yun whole.

"Escape! Run away!"

He snatched the long gun from the soldier next to him and fired a shot at Bai Yun and Zoro with one hand.

The bullets came with a heatwave.

Zoro panicked. He couldn't just die like this; he still had things to do! His vow!

He still carries Gu Yina's power; he cannot die like this!

Chapter 35 Zoro Joins

As soon as Zoro cried out for help, Bai Yun immediately agreed. "That's exactly what I've been waiting for. Now you have to get on board."

Bai Yun swiftly raised his arm, and the bracelet on his hand instantly transformed into a silver shield that blocked the bullet.

The bullet struck the shield, sparks flew, but it didn't penetrate or remain on the shield; it simply fell to the ground.

Zoro stared in shock at the shield; how had it appeared in the blink of an eye?

"It's called magic."

Bai Yun kept Zoro in suspense, then with a flick of his wrist, his shield transformed into a long sword. He slashed Zoro twice, and instantly, the ropes binding Zoro broke.

"You can use a knife too?"

Zoro straightened up and rotated his wrist.

"Knows a little bit."

Bai Yun replied, then took another step to the side to distance himself from Zoro.

Zoro was confused. What was going on here?

Immediately, two arms reached out from beside him and grabbed the wooden stake.

"I am coming!!"

Zoro turned his head and saw Luffy crashing into him.

"Fuck!!"

With a bang, Luffy bounced down, sending Zoro back to the wooden stake.

"Cough cough."

Zoro coughed twice, feeling a sharp pain in his chest, and frowned involuntarily: "Damn it! Are you trying to kill me! Straw Hat bastard!!"
