The man in the grey cloak, upon seeing [Destiny Hero Gunner] standing opposite him, immediately made a judgment:

"[Hero of Destiny]...Is he really a traitor to our dimensional fusion?"

Chapter 160 Edward's Fate, Hero

The gray-cloaked man's voice wasn't too loud, but it was still within Soreva's comprehension. Upon hearing this, Soreva immediately turned to the falcon beside him and teased it:

“Falcon, look, another one like you, who sees [Destiny Hero] and thinks I’m from the Fusion Dimension.”

However, at this moment, Falcon's face was extremely serious:

"Using [Destiny Hero]...you bastard, are you perhaps the Commander-in-Chief of the Dimensional Fusion?!"

“That’s right. Since you recognized me, I won’t hide it anymore.”

Having said that, the man immediately lifted the gray cloak covering him, revealing his silver-gray hair and the white cloth and gold thread decorations that covered his chest, abdomen and neck, with a black outer ring and an ugly long robe of dark green cloth in the middle.

Beneath the golden tassels on his shoulders hung a black and green cloak that matched his long robe.

However, judging from the clothes showing on his hands and feet, he seemed to be wearing a silver-gray suit underneath.

He, however, seemed quite pleased with himself as he introduced himself:

"I am Edward Phoenix, the Commander-in-Chief of the [Academy] Legion stationed in the Hyperion Dimension!"

Then, pointing to Soreva, who had just used [Destiny Hero Gunner] to block his [Destiny Hero Drillman] attack, he continued,

"Since you're using the [Destiny Hero] monster, you must be one of our dimensional fusion soldiers, right? Since you're also using [Destiny Hero], as long as you take them back obediently..."

Edward, who initially thought these people were all deserters from the Fusion Dimension, suddenly noticed the Xyz Dimension Duel Disk on Hayabusa's wrist, which had just been teased by Soreva, and immediately changed his tune, saying:

"Hand over these remnants of the Hyperdimensional Realm to the Legion, and I can help cover up your betrayal and spare you punishment. What do you say?"

Honestly, if Soreva were truly a dimensional fusion soldier with a weak will, he might actually have accepted this condition.

Unfortunately, Soreva is not.

"Further words are useless. If you want to capture them, then settle this with a duel!"

Seeing Soleva raise the Duel Disk in his hand, Edward couldn't help but sigh:

"Why are you being so stubborn? I've already notified the Legion, and they'll be here soon. You can't escape!"

But his words made Soreva's eyes light up instantly:

"In other words, you're the only one here right now, and the Fusion Legion hasn't arrived yet, right?"

Soreva immediately turned to the falcon beside him and shouted.

"Falcon, you lead everyone to that stronghold first, I'll hold him off!"

“Mr. Soleva, this…”

"Hurry up and leave! Don't forget, there are civilians here! If you delay any longer, are you hoping they'll be caught too?"

Hearing Soreva's renewed urging, Falcon rallied the group, bypassed Edward, and ran towards the base. However, watching the crowd rush towards the entrance from Edward's left and right, with Edward making no attempt to stop them, Soreva couldn't help but ask:

"What, you're not planning to go after them?"

"not interested."

Ed glanced briefly at the crowd running past him, noticing the fearful looks from the civilians who weren't duelists, then turned his gaze back.

"These civilians will eventually be sealed away by our troops; I don't need to worry about them. I'd rather see what makes you dare to use [Hero of Destiny] to oppose me."

"Then you'd better be careful, because my [Hero of Destiny] might be even stronger than yours."

"Duel!" ×2

"Then I'll go first! I activate the Spell Card [Fusion] from my hand! I choose to use [Destiny HERO Dreamer] and [Destiny HERO Resolver] from my hand as materials for Fusion Summon!"

As Ed revealed the [Fusion] Spell Card to Soreva, Soreva immediately sent that card, along with two monster cards from his hand, to the Graveyard.

"Heroes destined for victory! Heroes of the dream world! Now unite as one and reign supreme over the dark future! Fusion Summon! Comeon, [Heroes of Destiny: Anti-Utopia]!"

As Edward clenched his fists in a summoning gesture, a hero covered in purple and gold armor, with faintly visible dark muscles and flowing blue lines, leaped out of the fusion vortex, waving his fists.

On the forehead of the gold mask that divides his face into three sections with black lines, there is a bright red "D" mark.

"Activate the effect of [Dystopian]! Inflict damage equal to the ATK of the [Determined One] used as material! Fist of Oppression!"

As a phantom merged into the form, a layer of purple light instantly illuminated the body of [Hero of Destiny: The Anti-Utopian]. He immediately opened his right palm towards Soreva. From within that palm, a verdant triangular symbol instantly shot out a white ball of light that hurtled towards Soreva.

Soreva narrowly escaped the attack of the light sphere, but in the strong wind generated by the explosion of the light sphere, Soreva's LP still dropped by 1600 points instantly, falling to 2400 points.

"Damn! It's burning blood again. Do you guys in the dimensional fusion world like to do this? But I have to say, burning 1600 blood in a 4000 blood environment is still a bit damaging."

Amid Soreva's complaints, Edward sent another card to his Duel Disk:

"Then, I activate the Continuous Spell Card [D-Death Race], and then end my turn. Now, I can activate the effect of [D-Death Race]!"

At the end of each player's phase, the combined Levels of the monsters on both players' fields are compared, and the following effects apply!

First, deal damage to the player with the lower total score equal to the difference in their level multiplied by 100.

Upon hearing this, Soreva's face instantly darkened, and he gave Ed the middle finger:

"Damn it, you're the only one with a monster on the field right now, what am I anyway!"

But Edward ignored him and continued calculating:

"[Destiny HERO Anti-Utopia] is level 8, and you have no monsters on your field, which means you will have to take 800 damage!"

A beam of purple light burst forth from the materialized card and struck Soleva, raising Soleva's LP value from 2400 to 1600.

"It's not over yet! The second effect of [D-Death Race]! If my total Level is higher, increase the ATK of one [Destiny HERO] monster on the field by 100 times the difference in total Levels!"

Therefore, the [Dystopians]' attack power has also increased by 800 points!

Seeing [Destiny Hero: Destiny of the Underworld]'s attack power jump from 2800 to 3600 again, Soreva felt like giving Edward the middle finger again.

Because he also plays the [Destiny HERO] deck, he knows that [Destiny HERO Dystopian] has another effect: when its attack power is different from its original attack power, it can restore its attack power to its original value at any time and then destroy one of the opponent's cards.

More importantly, this card-bombing effect is even a noble second-speed effect that can be activated during the opponent's turn.

This means that Soreva can't just casually use the [Phantom Hero Android] in his possession. After all, if he only builds a graveyard for one monster and the [Android] gets destroyed before he even gets [Fusion], then Soreva's development chain will be broken.

Unless he draws a [Fusion] card by luck next turn.

"Then, the round is over."

Chapter 161 The Ultimate Fate After the Phoenix's Fall

"Then, my turn, draw a card!"

Draw a card from the top of the deck. Looking at his hand, Soreva could confidently say that it was an absolutely excellent hand.

[Destiny Hero Negating Man], [Destiny Hero Demonic Man], [Phantom Hero Android], [Dragon Magic Guardian], [Temptation of Darkness], [D-Tactics]

This scene is definitely a combination of a Phoenix and a Bloodseeker.

If the opposing [Dystopians] don't bomb.

So, Soreva decided to try his luck with [Temptation of Darkness], hoping to get a [Fusion] or even [Fusion of Fate]? Wouldn't that be awesome?

"I activate the Spell Card [Temptation of Darkness], draw two cards from my Deck, and then banish one DARK monster from my hand. If I have no DARK monsters in my hand, I send all cards in my hand to the Graveyard!"

After saying that, Soreva put [Temptation of Darkness] into the Duel Disk and drew two cards from his deck. However, these two cards left Soreva quite bewildered:

[G Proliferation] and [Breaking Fate]

In short, Soreva not only failed to draw the card he wanted, but also lost a card that was removed from his own hand.

In contrast, Soreva ultimately chose to banish [Phantom Hero: The Bionic] from his hand. The reason was simple: if [The Bionic] were destroyed by Ed before he could draw Fusion, his entire offensive would be ruined.

In comparison, it's safer for [Dragon Guardian] to consistently pick up either [Fusion] or [Fusion Fate].

After placing [D-Tactics] face down in the backcourt, Soreva then placed [Dragon Guardian] onto his Duel Disk:

"I Normal Summon [Dragon Magician Guardian] from my hand!"

As a warrior clad in sharp white dragon armor appeared on Soreva's field, brandishing his spear, Soreva's voice rang out once more.

"I activate the first effect of [Dragon Magician Guardian]! If this card is Normal or Special Summoned, you can discard 1 card to activate this effect: Add 1 [Fusion] Normal Spell Card from your Deck to your hand!"

I choose to discard [Break Fate] from my hand and add a [Fusion] to my hand from my deck!

After saying that, Soleva drew [Break Fate] from his hand and sent it to the graveyard, then caught [Fusion] which popped out of the Duel Disk.

But soon, Soreva sent this [Fusion] along with the [Destiny Hero Negation] and [Destiny Hero Demon] in his possession to the graveyard:

"Now, I activate the Spell Card [Fusion] in my hand, using [Destiny HERO Negator] and [Destiny HERO Demon] as materials to Fusion Summon!"

"oh!?"

Upon hearing the fusion materials chosen by Soreva, Edward raised an eyebrow slightly.

"[The Denier]? I've never heard of a [Hero of Destiny] before. Let me see your power."

"Born from the blazing flames of the phoenix! Unyielding hero! Bring my enemies a destiny of despair and destruction! [Destiny Hero Destroys the Phoenix]!"

Dark red flames roared up, blowing a scorching wind that slammed heavily onto Edward's body. The firestorm that had been spinning out of the fusion vortex suddenly exploded, and the first thing Edward saw was a pair of dark red feather roots and jet-black wings.

As the wings unfurled, a dark red dragon tail with black thorns lashed out, and the hero, whose hands and arms were covered in dark red flame-shaped armor, revealed his true form to Edward.

"[Destroyer Phoenix], is this your destined hero? He's quite handsome, but this isn't his stage!"

After praising the [Destiny Hero Destroys the Phoenix]'s coolness, Edward's expression instantly turned serious, and he immediately reached out and said,

"Now, I activate another effect of [Destiny HERO Anti-Utopia]! Once per turn, if this card's ATK/DEF is different from its original value, you can destroy one card on your opponent's field!"

Destroy the Phoenix! For the sake of justice!

[Hero of Destiny, Anti-Utopian] extended his right hand again, but this time, the triangle in his right palm was no longer emerald green, but rather a bottomless black.

Instantly, a powerful suction force erupted from the palm, pulling the [Destiny Hero Phoenix Destroyer] towards it. The [Phoenix Destroyer]'s body gradually shrank during this process, until it was clenched into a scattered golden light by the [Dystopian].

"How about it? Without a powerful hero by your side, can you still defeat me?"

"That's hard to say (Sorevadocana)!"

Finally, having the chance to give his full name, Soreva burst into laughter.

"Just watch! The hero bathed in the flames of the phoenix won't be defeated so easily; he'll come back for a comeback! [Destiny HERO Destroyer Phoenix] effect! When this card is destroyed by battle or card effect, activate this effect! During your next Standby Phase, I can Special Summon 1 [Destiny HERO] monster from my Graveyard!"
