The only piece that Yuma is currently missing is the heart fragment at the very center. In other words, even if Charlie wins the strongman's heart fragment, it won't help him at all.
However, while Yuma was still hesitating, Soreva had already taken out the Heart Fragment he had captured that day, picked out a piece from it, and ran towards Charlie's direction.
"In that case, let's wager a fragment of my heart."
Catching the Heart Shard thrown by Soreva, Charlie gave Soreva an OK sign, and Soreva's gaze turned to the burly man who had stopped in his tracks upon seeing Charlie possess the Heart Shard.
"As for you, since this duel is a gamble with the fragments of the heart, if you lose, you will also have to keep a fragment of the heart. No objections?"
The burly man gruffly agreed, and Soreva nodded and stood back beside Yuma, watching Charlie and the burly man unfold the D panel.
At that moment, Yuma curiously asked Soreva:
"Uncle, where did you get that piece of your heart from?"
"Oh, those are what I took from the cheating contestants I expelled today."
As Soreva casually answered Yuma's question, he frowned upon seeing Charlie's opening [Summon Dice]:
Gambling cards again? Could he possibly be connected to those cheaters who use gambling cards?
Chapter 369 The Lucky Striped Man Makes His Debut
However, after a few rounds, Yuma's hopeful gaze towards Charlie instantly died.
Charlie's field was now completely cleared, with only two face-down cards remaining in the back row. Meanwhile, his opponent, the burly man, had three Xyz monsters on his field: Thunder End Dragon, Hard Dragon, and Great Gale Phoenix.
The difference in LP between the two is even more exaggerated. The burly man still has a full 4000 LP, while Charlie only has 100 LP left.
Even so, Charlie remained confident and said without the slightest panic:
"Life is a carnival! As long as there aren't two suns in the sky, my luck won't end! My turn, draw a card!"
As Charlie swiped his finger across the top of the deck and saw the card he had added to his hand, he immediately felt that familiar feeling, that feeling called good luck, had arrived!
With that thought in mind, Charlie didn't hesitate to show the card in his hand:
"Here it comes! I activate Quick-Play Spell from my hand, [Load]! This card's effect is to return all cards in your hand to your deck and draw the same number of cards from your deck!"
As Charlie returned several of his cards to the D deck, his D deck immediately began to shuffle violently.
Charlie quickly pressed his finger on the D panel again and drew out the corresponding three cards.
These are three identical monster cards. For an ordinary duelist, this might be quite a clunky situation, since you can only Normal Summon once per turn, and many monster effects can only be used once per turn.
But for Charlie, this seemed to be exactly what he wanted, and at his feet, a card he had covered up suddenly opened:
"Now, I activate the Spell Card, [Three Aces]! The effect of this card is that if you have three Level 1 monsters with the same name in your hand, you can Special Summon those monsters!"
With a snap of his fingers, Charlie picked up the three monster cards in his hand and slammed them onto his D panel.
"I'm Special Summoning these three [Dice Lord 7]!"
In an instant, three dice appeared on Charlie's field. The next second, the six sides of these dice opened up and lay flat, turning from white to black, and blue decorations appeared on them. Each [Dice Lord 7] even had human-like black hands.
However, being only level 1 monsters, these three [Dice Lord 7] only had an attack power of 100 points, which immediately drew a sneer from the burly man:
"Attack power of 100? What use is a monster like that? Have you finally given up on the duel?"
"Not at all, I'm very confident now!"
In response, Charlie raised his hand and called out.
"[Dice Lord 7] effect activated!"
With that shout, three dice appeared in Charlie's palm. Charlie explained the effect of [Dice Lord 7] as he tossed the dice from his hand:
"[Dice Lord 7] requires rolling dice to activate, and their levels will increase based on the number rolled! Life is a carnival!"
With Charlie's shout, which seemed to bring him good luck, all three dice landed on the ground, and their face-up sides were, without a doubt, "6"!
"Holy crap! What kind of European dog is this?!"
一枚骰子掷出6的概率是1/6,三枚,便是三个1/6相乘,也就是1/216!
The fact that Charlie managed to roll such a low probability made Soreva's gaze towards Charlie become somewhat unfriendly. After all, a duel can be lost, but a European god-draw dog must die!
However, for Charlie, it all seemed to happen naturally:
"With this, all [Dice Lord 7] levels have risen to level 7! Here it comes, the winds of good fortune are blowing my way!"
With a cheer and raised hand, Charlie announced the Xyz Summon.
"I'm stacking three Level 7 [Dice Lord 7] monsters on top of each other! I'm building a stacking network with these three monsters! Xyz Summon! Appear, [No. 7 Lucky Stripe]!"
"What!?"
Upon hearing the name of the monster Charlie called out, both Soreva and Yuma showed surprise. However, the difference was that Yuma was only surprised that Charlie also possessed a [No.] card.
Soreva, on the other hand, was surprised that he had stumbled upon the perpetrator of the art museum theft.
At Charlie's call, the channel for the Supersummon opened, and a sculpture resembling a roulette wheel commonly found in casinos slowly emerged from it.
As the top turntable was pulled up, the cone-shaped striped sculpture below quickly grew slender arms and legs, holding a cane marked "07". As for the turntable that was pulled up, it now transformed into a striped clown head.
This is the [No.7 Lucky Striped Man] summoned by Charlie.
After [Lucky Striped Man] appeared, Charlie flipped over his last face-down card:
"Then activate the Spell Card, [Dream Dice]! Roll this die. If you roll a 6, all monsters on your opponent's field have their ATK reduced to 0. If you roll any other number, all monsters on my field have their ATK reduced to 0!"
This card could be considered to have a serious side effect, yet Charlie still rolled a 6!
A black mist emerged from the dice, coiling around the monsters on the field and reducing their attack power to 0.
"How could such a thing happen..."
Seeing that all the monsters on his field had their attack power reduced to 0, the burly man's face instantly showed a look of resentment. However, looking at Charlie's [Lucky Striped Man] with only 700 attack power, he still laughed and chuckled.
"A monster with an attack power of 700 can only deal a maximum of 700 damage!"
"Hmph! That's hard to say! Attack, [Lucky Striped Man]!"
Having received Charlie's order to attack, the [Lucky Striped Man] immediately lunged forward with his cane. Just then, Charlie's voice rang out again.
"[Lucky Striped Man]'s effect activated! During battle, this card can use 1 Xyz Material to roll a die once. Then this turn, [Lucky Striped Man]'s ATK is multiplied by the number rolled!"
"This is the final blow, accept my good luck!"
As expected, the last die rolled was a 6, and the [Lucky Striped Man]'s attack power rose to 4200 points, clearing the strongman's LP to zero with just one hit.
"Alright, as agreed earlier, these heart fragments are all yours."
After defeating the strongman, Charlie handed over the Heart Fragment that Soreva had just lent him, along with the fragment of his heart that he had just won from the strongman, to Soreva.
However, just as their hands touched, Charlie saw a rope quickly wrap around his wrist.
"Excuse me, Mr. Charlie, you are under arrest as the perpetrator of the art museum theft."
Chapter 370 Charlie's Capture Operation!
"I see, I didn't know you were one of the cops!"
Looking at the rope that extended from the Tyrannosaurus D panel that appeared on Soleva's wrist and wrapped around his own wrist, Charlie showed no sign of being caught and continued to joke with Soleva with a smile.
In response to Charlie's accusations, Soreva simply shrugged.
"Don't put it so harshly, I'm not a policeman, I'm just..."
Looking at the [Lucky Striped Man] still in Charlie's hands, Soreva said with a helpless expression,
"However, your [Lucky Striped Man] was stolen from an art museum that my wicked boss outsourced! So, that wicked boss requires all of us employees to come and catch you, the thief, after get off work."
"Uh……"
After hearing what Soreva had to say, Charlie couldn't help but sigh.
"It seems you guys have it tough too, but..."
A confident smile returned to Charlie's face, and he immediately uttered his signature catchphrase.
"Life is like a carnival; as long as a second sun doesn't appear in the sky, my luck won't stop! Do you really think you can catch me so easily?"
"What joke are you talking about?"
Looking at the ropes already wrapped around Charlie's wrists, Soreva couldn't imagine how Charlie could possibly escape.
However, faced with Soreva's confidence, Charlie merely curled the corner of his mouth into a smile:
"is it?"
The next second, Soreva saw the rope he had extended suddenly come loose uncontrollably and instead wrapped around him, instantly putting Soreva in a predicament of struggling with himself.
"Damn it, why is this thing suddenly out of control!"
With his hands gripping the rope tightly, Soreva had just begun to complain when he heard Charlie beside him speak:
"I've said it before, my luck won't end."
"I refuse to believe it!"
With a roar, Soreva instantly released the Tyrannosaurus D panel and rope from his hand, freeing his hands to grab Charlie.
However, facing Soreva who was rushing towards him again, Charlie pointed to the air:
"Honestly, doing this will only bring you more trouble, like the luck that's on my side, such as..."
Although Charlie hadn't finished speaking, Soreva had already noticed that the light on their side was flickering, and as for the source...
Soreva looked up and saw that the huge WDC logo above them was gradually losing its light, accompanied by sparks, and it was slowly falling towards them.
And at that moment, Charlie's voice rang in Soreva's ears:
"Of course, I'll be fine, since luck is on my side. If you're trying to grab me, you probably won't get hit by it."
However, that might not be the case for the two of them.
Following Charlie's gaze, Soreva saw that the two little creatures, Yuma and the little bird, were frozen in place, facing the sudden disaster overhead.
If left unattended, the two of them will definitely be hit by the falling sign.
"So what should you do? Just ignore them and focus on catching me, and you'll be fine."
