Four months after gaining superpowers, meditation has become a habit.

…………

Sister Zhulan originally wanted to pick him up from the airport, but due to the "pulling" habit ingrained in the bones of Donghuang people, Xia Chen subconsciously replied, "It's too much trouble for you, I'll go by myself."

Then Cynthia said "Oh" and agreed.

He then realized that, given Cynthia's personality, she wouldn't say something like, "You're a guest from afar, let me pick you up."

Xia Chen thus missed out on the opportunity to have the Sinnoh champion pick him up at the airport, something that would be something an ordinary person could brag about for a long time.

"Sir, we have arrived at Shenhe Manor."

The driver's rather indifferent voice reminded Xia Chen that a light meditation state did not require the use of silk cloth to draw the streamer's hand, and Xia Chen ended his meditation.

After paying the fare, Xia Chen got out of the taxi carrying the fairy cloth. Standing in front of him was a magnificent manor of considerable size.

The taxi had barely left, the sound of the engine still echoing in my ears, when the gates of the manor slowly opened.

Xia Chen, who was about to send a message to Cynthia, paused slightly.

Automatic door?

No, I think I just sensed the energy of a technique.

Xia Chen pondered this.

Behind the door, a graceful, rose-shaped elf, seemingly wearing a mask, raised a flower in her hand and bowed slightly to Xia Chen, as if to welcome him.

Xia Chen smiled and nodded in thanks, saying, "Thank you, Roseradore."

"Raiden~"

Roseradore responded demurely, raised the flower towards the door, and then turned and walked into the manor.

Xia Chen and Sylveon followed Roseradore, curiously observing the residence of the current Sinnoh champion.

The manor was vast, complete with gardens, an artificial lake, a battlefield, and a swimming pool, yet it inexplicably gave Xia Chen a desolate feeling, reminding him of abandoned mansions.

It seems that Sister Zhulan doesn't care much about where she lives.

Xia Chen pondered to himself.

That's true. This big shot is always out and about, either training or competing. It would be strange if he could manage his home well.

In her opinion, this place is at best a long-term hotel, so why bother with a hotel?

…………

After navigating the winding path, Xia Chen followed Roseradore to the only house in the manor.

Compared to the sprawling estate, the house where Shirona lived looked rather small, about the same size as Xia Chen's dormitory at Beijing University.

The front door of the house was wide open, and the owner inside seemed completely unconcerned about thieves coming to visit.

Xia Chen suddenly found his own thoughts amusing. Surely no petty thief would dare to be so foolish as to visit the champion's house?

Roseradore walked straight in, and thoughtfully reached out a vine to get Xia Chen a pair of slippers from the shoe cabinet.

After changing his shoes at the door, Xia Chen and Xianbu walked in without any hesitation.

Inside the hall, a blonde beauty, dressed in casual clothes, leaned lazily against the sofa, with a large, blue and black humanoid dog sitting beside her.

The two, one human and one elf, stared intently at the flickering images on the television, their hands clicking the controller rapidly.

Xia Chen's teeth ached from listening, fearing that Lucario might accidentally crush the handle in one go.

They were playing the most popular fighting game at the moment, Pokémon Duel.

I played Lucario myself, while Cynthia used Sylveon, which was released after the version update.

Incidentally, the game company also gave Xia Chen, the discoverer of Fairy Cloth, some money, although they didn't actually need to.

There's no such thing as copyright for Pokémon. Even though Xia Chen is the discoverer of Sylveon, it's not like he'll get paid every time someone evolves a Sylveon.

Cynthia and Lucario were engrossed in their game battle, while the other Pokémon in the hall were busy with their own tasks.

The Flower Rock Monster sways its potted plant soul in a corner where the sun never shines.

Upon keenly sensing Xia Chen's gaze, it immediately began making faces, whether to welcome or intimidate this guest from the East was unclear.

Sylveon retaliated by showing its little fangs, which can be considered a form of greeting when meeting a Ghost-type Pokémon.

Beside the sofa, Togekiss, resembling a giant winged Pokémon egg, floated in mid-air, watching Cynthia and Lucario's battle with a bored expression.

Upon seeing Xia Chen enter, her eyes lit up, and she flapped her wings and flew to his and Xianbu's side, a warm, angelic smile on her face.

Beside the floor-to-ceiling windows in the lobby, Eevee, which had been lying on the ground sunbathing, twitched its icy blue rhomboid ears slightly, noticing Xia Chen and Sylveon.

However, this ice beauty wasn't as enthusiastic as Rockruff and Togekiss. After giving a nonchalant glance at Sylveon, who shared the same origin as her, she looked away and continued sunbathing.

As for Xia Chen, he only glanced at it indifferently out of the corner of his eye.

The hall only contained these Pokémon. Cynthia's Milotic and Garchomp were probably not in the house because of their size, and Gastrodon had disappeared somewhere.

…………

While Xia Chen was observing Cynthia's other Pokémon.

On the television, with a swift and powerful swipe of Sylveon's ribbon followed by a deafening crash, Lucario collapsed in despair.

Xia Chen was speechless at the sight. He wondered if the game designers had taken inspiration from his own Fairy Cloth's battle videos and even added the ribbon-swinging technique to the game.

Is there such a thing in the move list?

Xia Chen glanced down at the world's first Celestial, thinking to himself, "Look at the bad idea you set!"

Xianbu silently rolled her eyes. You didn't have this expression when you got slapped.

Over there, Cynthia, having won, put down her controller and comforted the silent Lucario.

"Well played, Lucario. I probably would have lost if I hadn't been using Sylveon."

Cynthia stretched, revealing her beautiful figure, "The new Pokémon are still too strong."

Lucario wasn't happy at all. In her competitive mind, losing was losing, and there was nothing to comfort her about.

This applies to both battles and games.

However, what she didn't know was that there was another very important figure who determined the outcome of the game: the game designer.

……

Coming out of her immersion in the game, Cynthia finally noticed the guest behind her.

She raised a brow with her beautiful almond-shaped eyes and greeted him generously, "Sorry, I didn't notice you came in. You can't let your guard down at all when battling Lucario."

Xia Chen smiled slightly and replied, "It's alright, I just arrived too. I'm so glad to finally meet you, Miss Cynthia."

His tone was quite emotional, as if he had long admired Cynthia.

Cynthia understood the implication and smiled, "The way you're saying this makes it sound like you've known me for ten years. Do I look that old?"

Xia Chen smiled without saying a word, silently adding in his heart, "We've known each other for more than ten years, Sister Zhu Lan."

Cynthia found this online friend she had just met quite interesting and smiled, "Alright, come and sit down. What would you like to drink? I'll have Roseradore get it for you."

"Regular tree sap is fine, not too sweet. As for celery, it should be the same as mine."

As he spoke, Xia Chen walked over and sat down next to Cynthia, and Senbu naturally jumped onto Xia Chen's lap.

Cynthia then noticed the Pokémon she had just been playing with in the game.

Her delicate phoenix eyes narrowed into slits, clearly delighted to see Xianbu.

"Master Yi, I'm your fan!"

"Buee~" Sylveon made a cute sound, radiating its irresistible charm.

Hearing the noise, the Glaceon next to the French windows turned its head and glanced over, muttering something before turning its head away again.

Hmph, you damn clamp!

Chapter 202 Dinner at Cynthia's House (5k, 1110)

Roseredo carried six glasses filled with juice on vines and walked gracefully to the sofa without any panic.

"Raiden~"

Roseradore placed the juices down one by one, then stood by like a butler, waiting for orders.

Taking a sip of juice, Cynthia began to describe the itinerary for the next few days.

"We'll rest tomorrow and buy some things we need for our trip to Tianguan Mountain. We'll head to Shenhe Town the day after tomorrow, and from there go to the newly discovered ruins on Tianguan Mountain. The ruins aren't very big, and if all goes well, we should be back in ten days to two weeks."

Xia Chen nodded readily. This archaeological exploration activity was led by Cynthia, and he would simply join the group.

Although he knew nothing about the ancient Sinnoh region called [Xicui] and had no idea what was inside the ruins, Xia Chen wasn't too worried.

If even following Cynthia is dangerous, then this world should be teeming with legendary Pokémon by now.

After finishing their relatively short business discussion, Cynthia looked up at the time; it was almost five o'clock.

She blinked and said with a mischievous smile, "I'll take you to an archaeological site. How do you plan to repay me?"

Xia Chen smiled knowingly and rolled up his sleeves. "Understood. I'll take care of dinner tonight. Is there anything you'd like to eat? I'll go buy the groceries now."

Cynthia smiled slightly. "I knew you were coming, so I prepared everything. It's in the kitchen. Do you need my help or the elf's help?"

Xia Chen glanced at Roserade, who was looking at him with slightly expectant eyes, and said, "Then let Roserade help me chop the vegetables. You guys just wait patiently."

Cynthia thought for a moment and then suddenly suggested, "You haven't posted a video in a long time, have you? Me too. How about we collaborate on one?"

Xia Chen then realized that since he gained superpowers, he had spent all his spare time meditating and hadn't uploaded a video in over three months.

So I'm actually a content creator (UP) after all.

Xia Chen thought about it for a while and felt that he should still be a person who does not forget his original intention.

After all, without his uncle's salary, his early journey as a trainer would have been much more difficult. He couldn't forget his fans.

So he readily agreed to Cynthia's proposal.

However, something seems a little off about this collaborative video.
