Master Mage is the second level of the Mage class. As a Summoner, his level is at the level of someone who has just been promoted to Master Mage.

Kurara's movement was blocked. The white shield rubbed violently against the black barrier. She tried her best to break through, but could only make thuds.

"Heh heh! A knight dares to mess with me!" The old summoner felt reassured, realizing that the other party was not a Grand Knight. He waved his staff and began to command the ghost foxes around the underwear rack to fight back.

A long-tailed, green ghost fox floated in the air, emitting a mournful cry, and charged towards Kurara.

"Defense Barrier!" Kurara's face instantly turned grim, and her shield trembled, but she quickly regained her composure and activated the Knight's Defense Barrier skill, switching from offense to defense.

"...Dispel!" Within moments, Lorenwei had already cast a purification spell. With a flick of her wrists, twice the amount of dispel magic took effect around Kurara.

Dispel is an area-of-effect spell that can dispel normal-level magical effects and also deals significant damage to summons based on magical elements.

"Hoo-ga—" Several ghostly foxes that were about to pounce on Kurara, within the range of the dispelling effect, let out a shrill cry and turned into blue smoke, disappearing. Originally, they would only have suffered severe damage, but Lorenwei used her left and right hands respectively, exerting almost double the magical effect.

Of course, casting with both hands simultaneously consumes a tremendous amount of mana (MP) due to the far greater energy required for controlling magic compared to casting a single spell. Only someone with Lorenwei's astonishing talent would have enough MP to sustain such a massive drain; others, even those skilled in ambidextrous casting, simply don't have that much mana to spare.

"Ah! There's a great mage here too?!" the old summoner exclaimed in surprise.

The effect of dispelling magic was astonishing; it even broke through the protective array of his cloak, something that an ordinary first-level mage could not achieve.

"Who are you? Why are you attacking me?!" The old summoner panicked and immediately pulled out his belongings from his pocket.

However, Lorenvie's sluggish spell was also dispelled.

Kurara's defensive barrier didn't disappear; this was a knight skill, not magic. She slowly approached the old summoner, a melee unit bullying one opponent, constantly pressing forward to put psychological pressure on him.

"You stole my underwear, and you have the nerve to say that? Give it back!" Lorenwei was being gossipy, using idle chatter to distract the other person.

"Did I steal your underwear? Which one?" the old summoner asked instinctively, then pulled out a defensive scroll.

Whoosh—Sylph fired another arrow.

But a ghostly fox blocked the arrow, perishing along with it.

The defensive scroll took effect upon landing. The old summoner breathed a sigh of relief, his mind regaining its composure.

This is a mid-level defensive scroll, very expensive, and not something that can be dispelled by dispel magic. I spent years painstakingly completing a mission, and the Black Robe Organization only gave me this one; I never expected to use it today.

He had a moment to catch his breath and took a closer look at his opponent.

There was a green-haired archer to the side, a white-armored knight in front, and a little further away... a maid? The old mage blinked, confirming that this beautiful maid was the one who had just cast the spell and whom he had suspected of being the archmage.

No way? You don't even wear a priest's robe, yet you have this kind of ability? Wait, you may be beautiful, but how do you frame someone?

"Bullshit! You're as flat as a chopping board, where did I steal your bra? The smallest size on my shelf is A+, there's no size like yours... Do you even need to wear one?" The old summoner felt insulted, but before he could finish his rebuttal, he noticed that the female knight who was trying to approach him had actually backed away!

Huh? What's going on? The veteran summoner was puzzled. Had his words scared the other party away?

Little did he know, Kurala knew Lorenvi was about to explode the moment she heard him say that…

It's normal for this hero to have no breasts, but that's none of your business! Lorenwei's forehead veins throbbed, and without further ado, she began chanting lightning magic: "The tyranny of the sky subjugated..."

Kurara's retreat perfectly avoided the attack range of lightning magic.

"No way... You can really chant intermediate attack spells?" The old summoner couldn't believe that a maid could be a mage, let alone a great mage who could chant intermediate spells!

The old summoner desperately gathered the surrounding nether energy, summoning more than a dozen nether foxes and vengeful spirits, which began to attack Lorenwei: "Attack! Don't let her finish her chant!"

Sylph fired several arrows in quick succession, defeating the first few wraiths.

"I'll handle the rest!" Intermediate attack spells take a long time to cast, so Kurara stood in front of Lorenwei, her knight's shield shining brightly—a paladin's protective skill—blocking the remaining ghosts.

"Don't even think about finishing!" The old summoner sensed something was wrong and began casting other summoning spells, trying to get the maid to cast a spell.

"You old pervert! Take this punch!" Meilan's voice rang out behind the old summoner as her fist slammed heavily into the mage's defensive barrier.

Thump thump thump—unable to penetrate with her first punch, she persisted, striking the glass-like barrier repeatedly.

The protective barrier trembled violently several times. Although no cracks had yet appeared, the heavy attack unsettled the old summoner, preventing him from completing any further summoning spells.

"...Lightning strikes!" Lorenwei slammed her hands down, shouting, "Hey you, get out of the way!"

She didn't call out his name. What if she called him Meilan and someone remembered his name and held a grudge?

Meilan was originally supposed to be the main attacker, but the opponent's defensive items kept coming in one after another, making him seem like a slow, inflexible old man. That's why Meilan jumped out to try and interrupt his further spellcasting and weaken his defensive effects.

By the time Lorenwei reminded her, she had already withdrawn.

Crack—Boom—

A bolt of lightning struck the mine. Although it wasn't an open field, the concentration of lightning elements was still considerable under Lorenwei's control.

The powerful lightning-based attack magic instantly shattered the weakened magic defenses and struck the old summoner.

"Ah—" The old summoner only had a protective crystal on him, which shattered instantly, and he screamed as he was blasted to the ground.

A large crater was blasted where he stood, and the surrounding area was a mess.

Countless pieces of underwear were scattered and fell to the ground, many turning into fragments, drifting slowly down amidst the swirling dust.

Of course, Kurara and the others wouldn't take back the underwear that had been touched by this old summoner's hand to wear again.

In the crater blasted by lightning, the old summoner was charred black, his magic broken and still smoldering, his body twitching intermittently.

"Pah, pah, magic is still the most fun. I need to focus more on learning magic." Meilan spat a few times, looking disheveled, and began to prepare to go and capture the person.

With the defensive array offsetting some of the magical attack power, Lorenwei and the others were certain that the old summoner would not die.

"Careful, don't go over there!" Lorenwei stopped Melanie and waved her hand at Sylph. "Pin his palm to the ground!"

Sylph leaped slightly, swiftly firing two arrows that accurately struck the old summoner's palm, pinning him to the ground.

"Ouch! Ouch!" The old summoner let out two low, miserable cries. He was still alive, but he didn't have the strength to scream anymore.

Then everyone gathered around.

Lorenwei first used her magic wand to remove the old summoner's pouch, then controlled the scope and degree of the treatment, giving his face and the surface of his skin a light treatment.

It's unbearable to see him without treatment; many parts of his body are charred black, and he's been blasted to death.

However, Lorenwei also noticed that the clothes he wore under his magic robe were specially made, similar to the fabric worn by the previous attackers, and remained relatively intact after being bombarded.

"Speak up, who are you? Why are you stealing underwear?"

The old summoner lay on the ground, rolled his eyes, and remained silent, still emitting smoke.

Meilan roared, "Beat him up! Let's see if he'll talk!"

Lorenwei, with boundless compassion, said, "You can't be so cruel. Do you still have your potstickers?"

"Yes, this is the reserve food." Meilan actually took out a wrapped steamed bun from her small satchel.

"Eat more, recover quickly." Lorenwei took it, pried open the old summoner's mouth, and stuffed a large piece into his mouth.

Soon the old summoner rolled his eyes, and tears washed away the dark marks around his eyes, leaving many white streaks.

"Cough cough cough—I'll talk, I'll talk. I, I'm the Summoner Thorne, I stole the underwear to find someone."

"Find someone?"

"By examining a girl's underwear, which comes into close contact with her body, one can largely determine her affinity with certain elements."

Why do we need to know element affinity?

The old summoner Thorne clicked his tongue: "...I want to take on apprentices."

Lorenwei didn't refute, but took out a packet of powder from her spatial ring, poured a tiny amount of powder onto a piece of underwear, and then said to Meilan, "This is an attractant. Can it help catch a mouse?"

I'd already seen rats on the way into the mine. They're easy to run into in places like this.

"Leave it to me!" Meilan patted her chest and went off.

Kurara and Sylph both rolled their eyes. How come Lorenve has everything on her body...?

While Meilan was away, Lorenwei took out a small stool and sat down next to the old summoner, smiling as she watched him without saying a word.

The old summoner was in excruciating pain, his palms pinned to the ground. He wanted to beg her for treatment, but then he realized it wouldn't do any good, so he held back.

Seeing his discomfort, Lorenwei spoke up: "Hey, you said you bought three bras tonight, and they all have excellent elemental compatibility. Guess where they came from?"

The old summoner Thorne was stunned for a moment, then, enduring the pain, asked, "Not yours?"

"Of course not, I stole it from Moonlight Academy."

"Moonlight Academy?!" Thorne panicked upon hearing this.

"Because you Black Robes don't dare to provoke the academy, right? You've made a mistake," Lorenwei laughed. "There was an incident where an important student was almost kidnapped by the Black Robes. The mage involved in the incident was exposed and chased by the academy. Do you know what happened?"

"The Black Robe either couldn't afford to offend the academy, or they were afraid of delaying important matters, so they simply silenced the members of the organization involved."

Thorne's eyes darted around. Although he was still somewhat skeptical, he thought about it and realized he hadn't seen the mage since.

"Also, how much did the black-robed man pay you? Is it easy for you to leave if you want to?"

"...Who said I'm one of the Black Robes?!" Thorne suddenly realized what was going on.

Lorenwei chuckled, found the strap from the underwear fragments, tied it around one of Thorne's trouser legs, and then tightened his belt: "Oh, if you don't want to talk about it, then we won't. I'm not angry about what you said earlier, you know?"

"..." Kurara and Sylph looked at Thorne with sympathy.

Just then, with a squeaking sound from a mouse, Meilan returned.

She was holding a mouse in her boxing gloves.

The mouse was still struggling desperately, its claws kicking wildly.

“It’ll be quick.” Lorenwei pulled Thorne’s other leg up. “I’ll put it in here, and then I’ll seal it up.”

Chapter 120: I recruited Professor Agasa as my underling. New mission: Hot spring bath.

Alas--

Upon hearing that Lorenve was going to stuff the rat into the old summoner Thorne's trouser leg, Kurara and Sylph both instinctively took two steps back.

"Okay!" As expected of a demon, Meilan had no psychological burden at all and followed Lorenwei's instructions to catch the mouse with her gauntlets.

Lorenve secured the old summoner's legs.

"Wow—you guys are serious?!" The old summoner instantly forgot about the pain from his burns, watching as his trouser leg was opened and the rat was about to crawl in.

"To recruit or not to recruit?"

"I... if you were using a honey trap or something, I'd confess! What's a rat compared to that?" the old summoner cried out mournfully.

"A honey trap? What kind of honey trap do you want?" Lorenwei winked at him.
