Chapter 15 The Deal with Yang Jian (Please continue reading)

Yang Jian, Xiong Wenwen, Luo Suyi, Huang Fei, and Lin Luomei did not act together with Guo Fan and Feng Quan.

After entering the Caesars Hotel, Guo Fan lost contact with Feng Quan.

However, Yang Jian didn't pay much attention to this.

After all, these two ignored his advice and insisted on venturing into this haunted place; if they died, it would be their own fault.

He followed the sound of the newspaper turning and went to the fourth floor of the hotel, where he was surprised to find two people standing there.

One was Lu Ming, dressed in white mourning clothes, and the other was the terrifying ghost they encountered on the ghost bus that day, the mummified bride.

Why is he here?

A sense of wariness rose in Yang Jian's heart.

Although he had a good feeling about Lu Ming, Lu Ming was, after all, a ghost tamer tainted by the supernatural, and no one could say for sure what state Lu Ming was in right now.

Moreover, the newspaper ghost he was dealing with was in this Caesars Grand Hotel.

That ghost could use blood-stained old newspapers to alter people's memories, and the people whose memories were altered by the newspapers never even knew that their memories had been changed.

In other words, no one can be absolutely trusted.

"Lu Ming?"

Yang Jian called out tentatively.

Lu Ming, holding the hand of the mummified bride, slowly turned around and grinned, replying, "Yang Jian, it's only been a few days, and you don't recognize me anymore?"

Yang Jian skipped the pleasantries with Lu Ming and went straight to the point: "What are you doing in ZS City? This Caesars Hotel is haunted by countless terrifying ghosts; you'd better not wander around here..."

After saying all this, Yang Jian suddenly realized what was going on.

How could a normal person walk around the Caesars Hotel and still make it to the fourth floor alive?
If an ordinary person accidentally wandered in, they would probably be killed by the vengeful ghost after only a few steps.

Just considering the tall male corpse wandering on the second floor of the hotel, it would have been impossible to pass by unscathed without prior knowledge of its killing patterns.

They were able to stand here thanks to the margin of error provided by the ghost candle and Xiong Wenwen's premonition, which allowed them to narrowly but surely discern the ghost's killing patterns.

But Lu Ming... how did he manage to do it all by himself?
“This Lu Ming is extraordinary. Even when he was just an ordinary person, his qualities in all aspects were unmatched by ordinary people. Now that he has become a Ghost Tamer, it is even more so.”

“He was already here before we entered the hotel. He must have brought the knocking ghost here to cleanse the evil spirits in the Caesars Hotel.”

Yang Jian quickly figured out the key points.

Beside him, Lin Luomei and the other two looked at Lu Ming, not daring to make a sound. Xiong Wenwen even shrank behind Yang Jian, unable to resist wanting to use her precognitive supernatural abilities.

In their eyes, Lu Ming was more like a real ghost than a ghost tamer.

Lu Ming maintained his smile, which he considered a sign of politeness. Little did he know that, after being corrupted by supernatural forces, his smile would only send chills down the spines of others.

“Yang Jian, I’ll stop beating around the bush and get straight to the point. You want to get rid of that ghost with the newspaper, and I need to get the newspaper from him… Our goals are aligned and don’t conflict. Why not consider cooperating?”

Lu Ming came to the Caesars Hotel for the blood-stained old newspaper.

This was not too unexpected for Yang Jian.

What surprised Yang Jian the only thing was that Lu Ming had only been a Ghost Tamer for such a short time and hadn't even joined the headquarters yet, but he had learned so much information.

He was well-versed in all the developments in the paranormal world and the murder patterns of vengeful ghosts.

He knew he wanted to get rid of the newspaper ghost, and he also knew the purpose of the bloodstained old newspaper in the ghost's possession. Yang Jian even suspected that the ghost, like him, also possessed a human skin paper that could provide information, and perhaps a more powerful version at that.

"With your abilities, you wouldn't be a match for that ghost if you acted alone, so why did you choose to cooperate with me?"

Lu Ming did not answer, but instead took the mummified bride's hand and stepped aside.

What appeared before Yang Jian and his companions was a strange corridor.

Old number plates hung beside the doors on both sides of the corridor, just like the ones Ghost Chef had given Yang Jian.

The strangest thing is that at this moment, all the doors are open, exuding an eerie atmosphere.

This place is imprisoned by countless vengeful ghosts. Lu Ming was unwilling to risk it alone, so he chose Yang Jian as his helper.

Yang Jian understood Lu Ming's meaning, thought for a moment, and nodded in agreement.

“I can cooperate with you, but I have to take Zhao Lei’s body back with me, and the newspaper is yours.”

To be honest, Yang Jian was actually unwilling to give up that old newspaper.

However, the danger he encountered on the ghost bus some time ago made Yang Jian more cautious and less arrogant.

The tall male corpse downstairs had driven Xiong Wenwen to the point where she was almost about to be resurrected as a vengeful ghost.

With so many rooms before him, each teeming with dangerous ghosts, he wasn't confident he could make it out alive.

Using a newspaper as a price to quell the paranormal events in ZS City and eliminate the hidden danger of the newspaper ghost was, in Yang Jian's opinion, quite worthwhile.

After confirming his cooperation with Yang Jian, Lu Ming, holding the hand of the mummified bride, stepped into the passageway that did not exist in reality.

With these people backing him up, Lu Ming was able to deal with the dangers in the rooms on both sides with peace of mind.

pat!

The moment Lu Ming stepped into the corridor, a chilling aura wafted over, and thick, foul-smelling blood slowly flowed out from an empty room.

The room contained only an old wooden bed and a constantly flickering incandescent light bulb.

The blood was flowing from under the wooden bed.

Lu Ming glanced in that direction and suspected the ghost was under the bed. He stepped into the corridor, triggering the ghost's killing pattern.

Not just this one room, but from every other opened door, there were sounds coming from all of them. For a ghost tamer, it was simply impossible to withstand so many supernatural attacks at the same time.

Behind him, Russell, his face ashen, exclaimed, "Has he gone mad? Is he sure he won't die just walking right in like that?"

Although the others did not speak, they all had the same thoughts in their hearts.

The ghost eye on Yang Jian's forehead shifted slightly, his unease reaching its peak.

The ghost story of the mummified bride is indeed terrifying.

But Lu Ming is not a ghost; he is merely a ghost tamer.

If a ghost tamer uses too many supernatural abilities, it can cause the vengeful spirit within them to revive, which is the biggest disadvantage of being a ghost tamer.

Just as everyone was having their own thoughts, Lu Ming took the hand of the mummified bride and slowly raised it into the air, then stiffly swayed it from side to side.
