Hogwarts: A Chinese-Style Professor
Chapter 94 The Girl's Prayer
Chapter 94 The Girl's Prayer
When Li Wei passed by the wall for the third time, a door suddenly appeared on the wall.
He showed no surprise, stepped across the threshold, and went inside.
Inside the door was a passageway filled with 'garbage'. Li Wei walked through the passageway and saw bottles, hats, boxes and other trash that might or might not be related to the crown.
He felt no anxiety, but rather a sense of peace—this place really did seem like a hiding place.
Li Wei ventured deeper and deeper into the labyrinth—wherever he passed, all the piles of rubbish spontaneously floated up, transforming into clear, individual pieces for him to examine.
As he approached the end of the maze, he saw an old cabinet with a bubbly surface—on top of the cabinet was a half-body statue of a wizard covered in pockmarks.
He wore a dusty old wig and something that looked like an old, faded crown.
Crown.
Li Wei took out his wand but didn't touch it easily.
"Fuck-"
An electric current emerged from the tip of Livy's wand, and the next moment it detached from the tip and shot violently toward the ancient crown.
Blue arcs of electricity danced across the crown's surface, sweeping away all the dust—as if stimulated by magic, the ancient crown glowed with a fluorescent light, and the mottled rust peeled off like a snake's molt, revealing its true appearance.
A light source, seemingly from nowhere, fell upon the sapphire at its center, emitting a breathtaking flash.
Everything should have been perfect—if Levi hadn't seen the hissing black gas above.
He quickly realized what had happened.
That damned mysterious man turned his crown into a Horcrux!
With a dark expression, Li Wei waved his wand, and a rock golem slowly stood up. After it stopped, it quickly walked towards the statue, and Li Wei's figure also began to retreat.
One step, two steps, three steps, until you are completely inside the statue's range, and nothing else happens around you.
The puppet took off the old, faded crown and held it carefully in its hands.
Nothing happened.
It seems the mysterious man was confident in his hiding place, so he didn't use any protective magic on the crown.
Li Wei relaxed his guard slightly—the rock golem walked in front of him and left the Room of Requirement with him.
It was already late at night, and the castle corridors were deserted.
Li Wei pondered seriously how to make up for the losses—helping Dumbledore was one thing, but maximizing profits was another.
I helped him find a Horcrux, he can't just leave without any thanks, can he?
If the crown is unusable, it would be excellent if he could study Gryffindor's sword.
The rock golem escorted the crown back to his office. When Levi opened the door, he found that Camille was still waiting for him—Joviri had already gone to rest, since he had to get up early the next day.
"Professor—this is?"
Gazing at the lady's crown gleaming in the moonlight, her breath hitched slightly—Jamie admitted she was somewhat tempted.
"This is good stuff—"
Li Wei smiled, his eyes narrowing into slits, and said to Jia Meier with a boastful expression.
Camille was taken aback by his smile—the fact that the professor reacted this way was enough to show how precious the thing before her was.
She became even more curious about what this crown was.
But at the same time, she was also a little wary—why would a professor have women's items on him?
"So this is?"
Jia Meier watched as Li Wei brought out a red tablecloth, which then transformed into a transparent glass dome to decorate the crown.
Still haven't guessed? Think about it again.
Even Li Wei seemed to be keeping the matter a secret, given the preciousness of a crown.
He took out his wand and solemnly cast a spell on the glass dome in front of him. A transparent curtain of light rose from the ground and spread upwards, completely isolating the glass dome.
He'll have Dumbledore come tomorrow; we just need to save tonight for now.
As for finding a solution on his own, Li Wei hadn't considered it.
Although his alchemy skills were passable, the research on artifacts tainted by the most evil methods was extremely difficult, something a wizard with only one specialty could never accomplish.
There is no possibility of even gaining experience in practice.
As for saving the crown until his alchemy skills are more advanced, that's rather far-fetched.
Ultimately, however, it all depends on whether Dumbledore can help him resolve the negative impact of the Horcruxes.
If the other party also cannot resolve the issue, then this crown will inevitably have to remain for a period of time.
"The tiara—Ravenclaw's tiara?!"
Camille finally realized what had happened—no wonder she hadn't thought of it before, after all, it was a legendary item. Who would have thought that the professor would just casually bring it back after a night out of the castle?
"Professor, this..."
Realizing that what looked like a jewelry necklace was actually the legendary crown, Jia Meier was at a loss for words.
Saying "things" was too presumptuous, and saying "divine artifact" was too solemn. After pausing for a while, she decided to use "crown" to describe it.
"Professor—can a crown truly bring us wisdom?"
"I don't know, I haven't tried it yet. This crown is currently cursed, and using it rashly might cause great harm."
Although he trusted Camille completely, Levi still didn't tell her about the crown turning into a Horcrux—the fewer people who knew about it, the better, and there was no need to make a fuss about it.
As for Joey – once the other party senses the protection he has placed, he will naturally not want to touch it.
"Cursed?"
A look of regret crossed Jia Meier's face, but she quickly regained her fighting spirit.
"So our next task is to restore it?"
"No—this curse is too high-level. Unfortunately, it's beyond our current capabilities."
Seeing that Camille was still staring at the crown, Li Wei urged:
"Alright, it's getting late. Let me help you with the training so we can finish early and get some rest."
"Yes, Professor!"
Jia Meier followed Li Wei into the inner room, but couldn't help turning her head to look at the crown again.
The secret artifact created by one of the four giants, a legendary item that could grant wizards wisdom—was itself fatally attractive to these scholars who valued knowledge.
More importantly, if the crown could truly grant her wisdom, she wanted to use that wisdom to understand one thing.
Why doesn't the professor love her?
“Jia Meier, you are my student. Your feelings for me are not love, but more the worship of authority that students have for their students.”
I could never accept you.
Putting aside the significant age gap between us, the mere fact that a teacher is with their student is, in my view, utterly despicable and a form of psychological oppression by an elder over a subordinate.
Li Wei's once stern voice echoed in Jia Meier's ears.
Actually, she disagreed with what the professor said.
She knows best what she's thinking.
Her heart beat for Li Wei every moment, even though two years had passed since her last rejection, and even though she was cursed every month.
She never forgot those unforgettable memories, those days spent with the professor.
Can such feelings be trampled on with a professor's simple "admiration"?
Can the crown grant her the wisdom to solve this problem?
