Chapter 58 Christmas
As the end of December approaches, the festive atmosphere at Hogwarts grows stronger.

Li Wei ended his seclusion and emerged from underground, taking two assistants with him as he casually strolled around the castle.

The walls of the auditorium are now adorned with cascading ribbons of holly and mistletoe, and twelve towering Christmas trees are evenly distributed throughout the room. Some trees are decorated with glittering icicles, while others are twinkling with hundreds of candles.

"Professor, it's been a long time!"

Cedric, Hermione, and the other two greeted him together—they had learned of Levi's vacation plans from Jowell long ago and had therefore refrained from bothering him.

"haven't seen you for a long time."

Looking at them, Li Wei felt the foul air from the ground vanish, and a strange sense of comfort and pleasure rose in his chest.

He waved to the group, a smile appearing on his face.

This surprised Cedric and the others, and even Jowell and Camille looked at him in astonishment.

Harry and Ron shrank back and followed behind Hermione—they had always been a little uneasy about the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor.

Then, the group strolled around the castle together.

Cedric, acting as a mood facilitator, began to proactively talk about the content of his lesson.

For example, his character was a Squib, but later he gained the ability to cast spells through a magical wand, only to have his fiancée break off the engagement—a series of changes that made Ron and Harry's eyes light up, exclaiming that it was unfair—why can only fourth-year students have such cool and interesting classes?
At this point, the distance between them and Li Wei had shortened slightly.

"Because your foundation is not yet up to standard, and I am still considering whether to promote this course."

"Why? Is there any need to think about such an interesting course? It's bound to be a huge hit!"

Ron thought the fourth graders were incredibly tight-lipped; how could they keep such a thing from showing off?

However, in reality, only the younger students were still in the dark; the older students already knew, but could only look on with envy.

"Because I value your foundation more than your entertainment."

Li Wei gave a brief explanation.

Hermione quickly followed up with an explanation:
"What the professor means is that we haven't even reached the first stage of mastering the spell, so it's pointless to immediately pursue a higher stage."

Harry and Ron looked at Levi with suspicion.

Seeing him nod, Ron widened his eyes and exclaimed:
"Hermione, when did you become Professor Levi's mind reader?"

"Does your statement have to be so disgusting?"

Hermione gave him a disdainful look.

Afterwards, at Cedric's suggestion, the group started playing Quidditch in the snow outside the castle—he had prepared the props in advance for this moment.

Harry and Cedric, as captains, each selected their teammates.

As an older student, Cedric let Harry choose first.

"I choose."

On the surface, his eyes darted between Ron and Hermione, but out of the corner of his eye, he kept glancing at Camille—but wouldn't it be too obvious if he chose her?

After thinking it over, Harry chose Ron first.

"Hey buddy, let's take them down!"

Ron gave a loud shout, and Harry smiled along, though the smile looked somewhat forced.

"Cedric, it's your turn."

His heart pounded, and he screamed inwardly, "Don't choose Camille! Don't choose Camille!" "I choose Jowell."

Cedric smiled at Jowell.

Harry burst out laughing, unable to contain his smile, completely ignoring the look Hermione was giving him, and continued:
"Then I'll choose Jia Meier."

Hermione: "."

She never expected to be left out and be the last one chosen.

“Sorry, Hermione, we need an upperclassman to keep things in order on our side.”

"Humph--"

Hermione reluctantly accepted this explanation and joined Cedric's group amidst his smiling welcome.

With the Golden Snitch and Seeker roles removed, Ron and Cedric each became goalkeepers on one side, while the other two players from each team became batters and bowlers, and a mini Quidditch game began.

Li Wei waved his wand, transforming it to create an arena for them, then sat on the high platform he had transformed himself onto, quietly watching them play.

At first, Joey and Camille weren't quite used to Quidditch; they were a little timid when flying, and the darting ball made them nervous.

Not to mention Cedric and his group, even Levi had rarely seen them behave like this before, and he found it quite amusing.

So much so that the first ten goals were basically Hermione and Harry going head-to-head – Hermione was clearly no match for Harry, but Cedric was quite reliable as the goalkeeper, so the two sides were evenly matched.

However, once the two assistants had adapted, the main character was gradually replaced.

Especially Jia Meier, after quickly getting the hang of it, her playing style gradually became wild. She even took advantage of the snowy field conditions to create tornadoes with her high-speed flight, directly engulfing her opponent with a mini avalanche, and then easily scored a goal.

Cedric and Jowell emerged from the avalanche, their heads still wet with snow. They looked at each other and saw the helplessness in each other's eyes.

Harry and Ron, however, started shouting and showering Camille with compliments—she was clearly pleased with her performance, giving Harry a bright smile that left him mesmerized.

All afternoon.

Beside the quiet winter castle, six young people soared and danced in the air, occasionally letting out joyful laughter.
Li Wei refused their question about whether they should take turns playing, and simply watched them quietly from the sidelines. The magic within him was becoming increasingly calm and profound in this quiet and harmonious winter day, as if he were asleep.

Li Wei had a real understanding at this moment.

Now, it seems he can no longer ignore these people.

Needless to say, Li Wei had already realized that his two assistants were the people he valued most.

What about Cedric? He was the student I admired most in the past three months. If we met outside, I would definitely take him in.

As for Harry, Hermione, and Ron, the main characters of Harry Potter...
These characters, whom he had once chosen to ignore and thought whose deaths wouldn't matter, were now vividly present before him.
If one day, they will die.

In the past, Livy would certainly have been indifferent to this; everyone dies, as did James Potter, Lily Evans, and even Snape and Dumbledore later on.

They were characters in the book, characters that Livy had once loved, but until now, Livy had not felt any sadness over their deaths—he had been certain of this.

But now, things seem to be a little different.

In the three months since he arrived at Hogwarts, he seems to have become unable to ignore certain things as he used to.

Li Wei looked at the children below, thoughtfully extending two fingers and placing them on his heart.

People make the abstract connection real through the time they spend together, and originally lonely individuals are closely connected in the process, supporting each other.

At that moment, Li Wei truly understood the significance of this action.
