Hogwarts: A Chinese-Style Professor

Chapter 22 Two Snake-Speaking Men?

Chapter 22 Two Snake-Speakers?
Inside Li Wei's office, the three little ones sat upright.

Ron discreetly glanced around, while Harry's gaze remained fixed on a certain blonde girl.
This was the first girl he felt his breath stop just by looking at her.

Not only is she beautiful and charming, but her cold and aloof demeanor also keeps people at a distance, exuding a fatal attraction.

Harry was almost stunned before Levi spoke.

"Barton, get some snacks for the children."

"Yes, Master."

The house-elf Barton appeared out of nowhere, handing over four glasses of chilled lemonade. In the next flash, he appeared with an exquisite plate of pastries.

"Thank you."

Hermione instinctively placed her hands on the iced drink—only then did she realize that she had run all the way here and was covered in sweat.

"Sweeped away in a whirlwind."

Hermione saw Professor Levi suddenly wave his wand.

A gentle breeze blew precisely into the cuffs and collars of the three women, smoothly carrying away all the sweat, even the sweat on their foreheads, leaving only a refreshing feeling.

"The Whirlwind Cleaner can be used like this?!"

Hermione stared wide-eyed at Levi like a curious child.

Just then, she felt someone poke her waist.

Hermione turned her head angrily and saw Ron giving her a silent reminder with his eyes—don't forget why we're here.

She snapped out of her daze and glanced at Harry somewhat embarrassedly.

Fortunately, Harry's attention was entirely focused on Camille at that moment, and he didn't notice Hermione at all.

"Speak, what brings you here? Is it about the basilisk?"

Upon hearing the word 'basilisk,' Harry finally snapped out of his daze and hurriedly turned his head.

He belatedly realized his rudeness, and his face flushed red!
To his relief, it seemed that no one in the room was paying attention to him.

“Yes, Professor!” Hermione replied, then looked at Harry. “Do you mind?”

After all, this happened to Harry.

Because of his poor academic performance, Harry was somewhat ashamed to face Levi.

When Hermione asked him, he quickly nodded, indicating that Hermione could answer for him.

"very good."

Hermione nodded in satisfaction and looked at Levi again.

The satisfied expression on her face immediately turned into respect, and she said with a hint of mystery:

"Professor, didn't I ask you about the basilisk earlier? I'm almost certain now that there's a basilisk hiding inside Hogwarts Castle!"
It's alive! Harry heard it! I mean—Harry's a Parseltongue!

Hermione didn't bother explaining the meaning of Parsleyan; she believed it was just common knowledge to Professor Levi.

The other person behaved exactly as she had expected, and even frightened Hermione.

"So, the person who heard the basilisk's voice earlier was Mr. Potter, right?"

Levi's gaze shifted to Harry, the person in question.

Harry met his gaze and nodded, feeling a little uneasy—even at this moment, Levi's expression remained calm, which gave Harry a strange feeling.
A monster capable of killing with a mere glare roams within Hogwarts Castle, yet Professor Levi remains remarkably calm. He even appears somewhat indifferent.

This made Harry feel uneasy.

Could this be another professor who might be connected to the Dark Lord?

"Potter, now look directly at me and don't look away."

Li Wei's calm tone carried a commanding air, causing Harry to instinctively obey.

Immediately afterwards, a chilling hiss echoed through the office! Hermione and Ron's eyes widened in shock! They both stared at Levi with horrified eyes!

Ron jumped to his feet! His knee slammed against the round table with a jarring noise, and Camille gave him a disdainful look, her face full of mockery.

But nobody cares about this anymore.

In front of everyone, Li Wei's mouth shape kept changing, and he made evil sounds that they had never heard before!
"Potter, tell me, what did you hear from the Basilisk?"

"I will tear you apart—I will kill everything—"

Harry stared into Levi's dark eyes and answered his question accordingly.

When he came to his senses, he found that Hermione and Ron were looking at him with strange eyes, their pupils still showing lingering fear.

"What's wrong with you all?"

“Harry—you were speaking in Parsley—you have no idea how evil that voice is.”

"Huh? I was just answering the professor's question normally—"

Harry frowned involuntarily; Ron's attitude made him very uncomfortable.

"Sophistry is just a language, what's so evil about it?"

Li Wei suddenly spoke up, interrupting their conversation.

"Language is merely a tool for communication. To regard an unfamiliar language as evil simply because of differences in pronunciation is both ignorant and foolish."

His attitude was so matter-of-fact, his calm demeanor radiating a convincing confidence, that Harry and Hermione's surprise and unease vanished instantly.

"Professor, you can speak Parsley too? But I've heard that's a famous skill only Slytherins possess."

“Indeed, some gifted wizards are born with the ability to communicate with snakes. The despicable Helbo, Salazar Slytherin, or even the Mystic, all possess this ability.”

Upon hearing the words 'Mysterious Man,' Harry felt a sudden stinging pain in the scar on his brow.

He frowned as he looked at Li Wei, feeling somewhat uneasy—why was everyone so afraid of that being? They didn't even dare mention his name?

You mean prone?

Before Harry could utter the name, Levi silenced him with a spell.

The action came without warning, suddenly and violently, which angered Harry, who was already somewhat dissatisfied with the points deducted from Gryffindor over the past two weeks.

“Potter, I know what you’re thinking, but it has nothing to do with courage.”

Li Wei shook his head. He felt no anger towards Harry, who was glaring at him, but rather a little disappointed.

The feeling of truly experiencing the 'savior' as such a reckless being is completely different from experiencing it only in books or in memory.

"The mysterious man's real name has magic power; anyone who mentions his name will be tracked down by him, do you understand?"

Levi broke the spell on Harry.

As it turned out, he was quite reasonable—after listening to Li Wei's explanation, Harry quickly calmed down, and even a hint of guilt flashed in his eyes.

"I'm sorry, Professor, I don't know—"

"It's ok."

Li Wei waved his hand, interrupting his apology.

Ron, standing to the side, was somewhat dismissive of Levi's statement—although he didn't want to hear the mysterious man's real name, he was even trembling with fear every time he did.

But the mysterious man is already dead. Even if Harry reveals his real name, so what? Is it really necessary to use a spell to shut him up?
The atmosphere froze for a moment.

But Hermione quickly changed the subject.

"So, Professor, are you one of those gifted wizards you just mentioned?"
