Let's start over, Your Majesty.

Chapter 309 The kids are so bored!

Chapter 309 The kids are so bored!
"Master, you are back."

The housekeeper, Kardashian, stepped forward respectfully to greet him and took his coat from him.

"Well, how's things at home lately?" Caesar asked.

“Everything is fine. We had a yard party last week, and a lot of people came,” Kardashian replied.

"Where is Yumilia?"

"she…"

"Caesar!"

At this moment, Yumilia, who was still in the kitchen, seemed to suddenly sense something and immediately ran out, still wearing an apron.

She excitedly ran to Caesar's side, looking bewildered, her little face flushed, gazing at her son Caesar, who had grown into a tall young man and was now many times taller than her.

So many years have passed, and Caesar has grown into an adult, but Yumilia, as an elf, is still a little girl, not even growing any taller, and still retaining the nature of a child.

She stood there, looking at her child whom she hadn't seen for more than two years, too excited to know what to say.

But Caesar merely glanced at her and said indifferently:

"I am back."

"Ah... um... Huan, welcome home, Kai..."

Before Yumilia could finish speaking, Caesar turned to Kardashian and asked, "How's the situation at the company?"

“Don’t worry, Miss Mika is looking after you,” Kardashian said.

"What about the research on wireless radar nodes? How is it progressing?" Caesar then asked.

The child's indifference made Yumilia feel awkward and embarrassed. She swallowed back all the words she wanted to say and stood aside waiting for their conversation to end.

"This requires approval from the Light Point Association, but the project approval will not be confirmed until the meeting next month."

"Have Mika keep a close eye on things. Also, I'll go to the company next Thursday to make some arrangements."

"Yes."

After Caesar finished giving his instructions, Kardashian withdrew.

"Caesar, Caesar," Yumilia tentatively approached, "Are you...aren't you tired? Should we go first?"

But before she could finish speaking, Caesar suddenly stepped forward, picked her up, and carried her upstairs without a word.

"Huh? Huh? Caesar, Caesar, what are you doing? Quick, put me down."

Yumilia spoke helplessly, her two slender legs swaying and kicking, but the difference in their physical strength was too great, so she could only let Caesar carry her towards the bedroom on the second floor.

The tall young man then embraced her.

Only when he was alone did he unload his burdens and reveal this previously unknown side of himself.

"Caesar. Really."

Yumilia looked helplessly at her big boy, who was already an adult, yet still acted like a child in front of her and liked to act spoiled.

However, a satisfied smile couldn't be hidden on her lips as she gently hugged his head, softly stroking the back of his head and back.

"It must be very hard working out there, right?"

"Hmm," Caesar responded in a muffled voice.

"Did you miss me?"

"I want to think about it every day."

"Hmph." Yumilia patted his back happily.

"You must be so bored after not seeing me for so long. Today is your day. Feel free to be as affectionate as you want with me, and I'll do whatever you want."

Caesar hugged her even tighter at these gentle words.

Yumilia didn't say much, she just hugged him, stroked him, and conveyed her tender maternal love to him.

“Caesar has grown so much, he’s become a real man.” Yumilia cupped his face in her hands, examining him closely. Her delicate hands gently stroked his mature face, and a hint of heartache flashed in her eyes.

"You've lost weight. Have you been eating well while you're out, Caesar?" she asked softly.

"I'm busy every day. Sometimes I don't even get a hot meal and can only eat dry bread. Many times I don't even have fresh vegetables to eat. At night, I'm often woken up to do night shifts or participate in night duty."

In front of Yumilia, Caesar immediately dropped all his airs, abandoning all the scheming and backstabbing he had done outside. He was like a wronged child, recounting the unpleasant experiences he had had over the past two years.

Yumilia listened to him with a tender expression, cupped his face, gently kissed Caesar's cheek, and then smiled and said:

"It's okay, it's okay. Now that we're home, I'll take good care of you. You can do whatever you want."

"Ah."

Caesar felt this belated warmth.

"Yumeria."

"Ah."

"I miss you so much."

"Yes, I miss Caesar too."

I want to eat your cooking.

"well."

"More."

But before he could finish speaking, there was a knock on the door.

Caesar sat up abruptly, quickly straightened his clothes and hair, and said calmly, his voice regaining its composure:
"what's up."

Yumilia sat up, looking at her child's rapidly changing expression, and couldn't help but cover her mouth and laugh.

The door opened, and the housekeeper, Kardashian, walked in. Seeing that something seemed amiss, she composed herself and said, "Miss Ita sent a letter."

She handed a letter to Caesar, then left the room without looking back, closing the door behind her.

"What did the letter from Ita say?" Yumilia asked curiously.

Caesar opened the letter and saw only one sentence written on it:

"I've done everything I was supposed to do. If you need anything else, just let me know."

And for some unknown reason, a very unhappy expression was drawn below :(
Caesar smiled helplessly and said to Yumilia, "It's nothing, just welcoming me back."

“Ita must miss Caesar a lot, why don’t we have her come along?” Yumilia said.

“I’ll be there later,” Caesar said.

"Oh," Yumilia thought for a moment, then opened her arms and smiled at him, saying, "So, do you want to continue, my sweetie?"

Caesar looked away, coughed, and said softly, "Well, just for a little while."

The Frederick family mansion.

At this moment, Ita Holonig, the evil dragon of the Frederick family, was expressionlessly fiddling with a rabbit doll on the sofa in his study, constantly kneading the doll's face into various shapes with his hands.

Doruvan then stepped forward and said in a low voice, "Master, young master Caesar has arrived."

Ita slightly raised her eyes, then lowered them again.

"Oh."

"Should we let him in?" Doruvan asked uncertainly.

"Let him come in if he wants," Ita said casually.

"Yes."

Doruvin gave a wink to the door, and the guards at the door withdrew. He then left the study.

A moment later, there was a knock on the door, but Ita did not respond.

Caesar opened the door and walked in, noticing Ita on the sofa.

Like Yumilia, Xiaolong's growth trajectory hasn't been obvious over the years. He's just become taller and more mature, and his tail and horns on his head also show signs of growth.

Itana glanced at him with her golden vertical pupils, then turned away, pouting and looking unhappy.

"You need something from me?" she muttered.

"Something's up. You, Caesar, have only come back once in so long, and you haven't even come to visit? What's the meaning of sending just a letter?" Caesar walked over, and just as he was about to reach out and pinch her cheek, Ita dodged him.

"You don't lack company. You only call me when you need something, and when you don't need anything, you don't say a word to me. You don't even reply to my letters. You don't care about me, Ita."

As Ita spoke, her little face was filled with grievance, she pinched the rabbit's ears tightly with both hands, her head hung low, and her eyes seemed to be glistening with tears.

When Caesar saw her like this, he squatted down and tilted his head to look at her.

"Cried?"

"Hmph, don't bother with me."

Ita immediately turned her face away.

"In the past two years, I have written so many letters to you, but you have never written to me once. You only call me when you need me, and you don't even bother to reply when you don't need me."

"Clearly, clearly I still am."

Ita became more and more aggrieved as she spoke, biting her lip and turning her head away without looking at him. In the past two years, Caesar had been abroad, and the only way to see him was through the summons of the Formless Heaven. Every time she went in, she hoped to talk to Caesar more, but every time she only received Caesar's dry orders and a few words of comfort.

Now that we can finally meet in person, the pent-up grievances I've been suppressing can no longer be contained and can finally be released.

Caesar looked at his little Ithaca and sighed:

"On March 23rd, the tea trees in the garden bloomed today. They smell very sweet. I also found a red variety that is particularly beautiful. I would like to show it to you, Caesar."

Ita paused for a moment, then finally turned to look at Caesar: "This is..."

"On April 5th, I went to the amusement park with Yumilia today, and Freya came along too. The amusement park launched a new flavor of mango smoothie, which Yumilia especially liked. Caesar, when are you coming back? I really want to go with you too."

Caesar recited the words, but Ita blushed.

"May 20th. I went to Port Prevo on a business trip last Friday. I talked business all day and was too tired to move when I got back to the hotel. But Caesar, you have completed your mission. You have to make it up to me later."

"June 17th, I dreamt of Caesar tonight. I dreamt that we were little, playing in the forest and swimming in the stream together. I really miss you, Caesar. When will you come back? Or, could you write me a letter?"

"July 1st, the weather in the capital is getting hot again. I plan to take Yumilia to Brown Beach for a vacation. It has changed quite a bit, but I heard that sharks have been spotted on the coast recently, so we can only wander around the area. Caesar, when are you coming back?"

"July 23rd, Caesar, today when I was taking a bath."

"Don't read this aloud!"

Ita realized what he was about to say, and her face turned bright red. She immediately covered Caesar's mouth.

Caesar smiled slightly and took her hand.

"Want to hear anything else? I can recite all seventy-three letters you've written to me over the past two years."

Ita's face was flushed, and her aggrieved expression seemed to have lessened.

"Why would I need to carry this?" she muttered under her breath.
“Because those were letters you wrote to me. I collected them all and kept them by my pillow. Every night before bed, I would take them out and look at them over and over again. I’ve memorized every single handwriting,” Caesar said.

"Seeing the letter felt like it was Ita, with you by my side."

Ita opened her mouth slightly, but then closed it again.

“Then you never reply to my letters,” she said softly.

Caesar sighed: "I've already told you this. My place is a classified unit; we can't send letters out."

"Is there?"

Ita tilted his head and thought for a moment, guessing that Caesar had said something like that, but he hadn't listened at the time.

“I’ve been thinking about you and Yumilia for the past two years, Ita. I’ve been looking forward to coming back and seeing you every day,” he said softly.

Ita's lips twitched a few times; she glanced at him, then looked away.

"Then, me too!"

She muttered to herself, seemingly wanting to say something more, a blush slowly rising on her face. Finally, unable to hold back any longer, she suddenly threw herself into Caesar's arms.
As a dragon, Ita was now just as strong as him, and this blow caused Caesar to lose his footing and fall to the ground.

"Caesar... Waaah... I, I miss you so much, I miss you so much, I miss you so much, I miss you so much."

Ita, the fearsome dragon Frederick, was now lying on him, rubbing her head against his chest and sobbing pitifully.

It seems she's been holding back for ages.

Caesar, just like Yumilia, gently stroked her head and offered words of comfort.

"Alright, alright, sweetie, if you have any grievances in the future, just tell me directly, don't just keep them to yourself, okay?"

"Um"

Ita responded softly, then looked up at him, her cheeks flushed and her eyes brimming with tears.

"Sweetie, it's been so long since we did that."

She murmured softly, moved closer to Caesar, and cupped his face in her hands.

Caesar smiled helplessly, put his arm around her waist, and kissed her delicate lips.

Happy Qixi Festival! ;)
