Let's start over, Your Majesty.

Chapter 306 The Name of the Commander

Chapter 306 The Name of the Commander
In 636 AD, Fein belonged to the Zhapu colony, in the village of Rizadang.

A gunshot rang out, and a row of more than ten sixteen or seventeen-year-old demi-humans fell to the ground, their blood staining the earth red, and painful whimpers immediately echoed around them.

The officer, holding a pistol still smoking, stared at the group of tattered subhuman residents around him.

“You should feel ashamed. The kingdom has given you food and work, yet you are doing things against the kingdom’s will.”

He stepped forward, kicked the corpse at his feet aside, and with a wave of his hand, the soldiers pulled up a row of demi-human villagers. The youngest of this group looked to be only seven or eight years old, shrugging and sobbing. Their parents knelt below, weeping and pleading.

The officer's gaze swept over the crowd, and he said in a low voice:
“I’m only giving you five minutes. If you don’t hand over the person by now,” he said, pointing to a row of teenagers behind him.

"Let them get their comeuppance."

The group of demi-humans below trembled under the gun barrels, but not one of them stepped forward.

The officer snorted and raised his hand.

"Wait a moment!"

Shouts came from behind the crowd, and a human man staggered out.

He was dressed in local clothing, but had the typical appearance of the Kingdom of Fein: a thin face with glasses, a dirty face, yet full of scholarly air, panting heavily, clearly having just run hard.

When the officer saw him, a slight smile finally appeared on his cold face. He jumped down from the platform and came to his side.

"Dr. Gao Qiaoman, thank you for your hard work."

The man addressed as Doctor saw the demi-humans being executed on the stage, his eyes gleaming with anger, his hands clenched tightly.

"Release everyone, and I'll go with you," he said, his voice trembling.

"Thank you very much for your support." The officer smiled slightly, waved his hand, and two soldiers stepped forward and pushed the doctor toward the jeep parked to the side.

Once the doctor was inside the truck, the officer glanced at the trembling villagers, then coldly waved to his adjutant. The machine gun, now mounted, spewed flames, and in an instant, blood splattered and screams filled the air.
"You son of a bitch!" The doctor's eyes turned bloodshot at the sight, and he was about to rush out of the car when the officer smashed a rifle butt at him, and he fell to the ground with a thud.

"I'll settle the score with you when we get back," he said coldly.

The gunfire stopped, and in the open space of the village, corpses lay piled up, their blood staining the ground.

Meanwhile, the soldiers searched among the corpses for survivors to finish off.
A cry came from beneath a sheep-woman; it was an infant. She had used her body to shield the child at the last moment, but it has now been found.

The soldier looked at the sheep-man infant in swaddling clothes without any pity in his eyes and raised his gun.

Suddenly, a deafening explosion rang out, destroying a machine gun emplacement. Amid cries of alarm, several missiles, trailing contrails, struck the troop transport vehicle.

"Enemy attack!"

The officer immediately rushed into the car and pounded on the driver's seat.
"Let's go! Let's go!"

Then he grabbed his adjutant by the collar: "You cover the evacuation! I must bring the Doctor back today! Do you hear me!"

The adjutant nodded quickly and jumped out of the car.

The officers' vehicles started and moved forward amidst the artillery fire and hail of bullets, stirring up a gust of sand.

The unknown enemy had begun their charge after the bombardment. The adjutant directed the soldiers to form a defensive line, but suddenly, they saw black spikes erupting from the ground not far ahead, rapidly heading towards their position.

"Magic! There's a sorcerer!"

But his roar stopped a second later, and black spikes rose from the ground beneath their feet, piercing the bodies of soldiers and gushing blood.

The officers' convoy was moving forward; just thirty kilometers ahead would bring them to the base.

The officer kept looking back. He knew very well that only that group of people would dare to launch such a large-scale attack on the Kingdom's army at this time and place.

“These damned animals!” he growled.

But before he could utter another curse, he suddenly heard the sound of a missile whizzing through the air. A violent explosion erupted nearby, and several vehicles behind him were instantly engulfed in flames.

"They dare not fire directly; the target is right here!" He pressed down hard on the unconscious doctor's body.

As soon as he finished speaking, a flash of black light appeared on the side and slashed vertically towards them, splitting the car in two. The driver's seat continued to move forward as the engine dragged it, while the back seat crashed to the ground.

The officer scrambled to his feet, and just as he drew his sidearm from his waist, a black blade was pressed against his neck.

Looking up, he saw an orc wearing a trench coat, with wolf ears, staring coldly at him.

"you"

Before the officer could finish speaking, a flash of blood appeared, and one of his arms was severed. He fell to the sand, howling in agony.

A convoy of vehicles approached him, a group of orcs jumped off, and another group rushed over to check on the doctor's safety.
A young human woman with bloodshot eyes immediately rushed over, gun in hand, pointing it at the officer who was writhing on the ground in pain.

Snap! Her gun was caught by a hand.

"Let go! Haren! Do you know that he killed everyone in the entire village? He didn't even leave any babies behind!" the woman roared hysterically.

“Nasha, calm down. He has the rank of lieutenant and is the executive officer of the Kendall region. He can be a bargaining chip for us,” Halen said calmly.

"I don't care about any of that! I'll make him pay! He must go to hell today!" Natasha roared again.
“If you do this, the commander will be unhappy,” Halen said.

Upon hearing the word "commander," Natasha's face paled instantly, but she quickly regained her composure.

She gritted her teeth and finally put down the gun.

"Don't try to intimidate me with him," she said fiercely.

“Send a telegram to the dragon. We’ve got the doctor here. She should make her move now,” Halen said.

Natasha snorted, turned her head, and left.

Baghwut, a high-end villa district.

On a rainy night, a convoy of cars had just left the gates of the villa district, heading into the rain. In the third car, Brandt clutched his briefcase tightly; he and his companion both wore extremely solemn expressions.

Thirty minutes ago they learned that Dr. Gaujoman had been kidnapped, and everyone involved had to be placed under protection immediately, especially Brandt and his group.

After driving for a distance, a blinding light suddenly pierced the rainy night. To their horror, they discovered that it was a truck, hurtling straight toward them.

"Quickly open!"

But it was too late. With a loud crash, the car was overturned, and a group of armed men rushed out of the truck. The security personnel in front and behind the truck were shot dead as soon as they got out of the vehicle.

In the rainy night, after a gunfight, the ground was littered with corpses, and blood flowed with the rain.

Brand and his group were dragged from under the car and pinned to the ground.

Brandt, trembling, saw a pretty, petite figure walking towards him through the rainy night, holding an umbrella. Behind that figure, a slender dragon tail swayed gently.

“The head of the Fethullah family,” he said, his voice trembling.

The patriarch approached him, his cold, vertical pupils staring at his face for a moment. Then someone stepped forward and picked up the briefcase.

"Master, the things are here."

After confirming the target, the patriarch glanced at the trembling Brand.

"He took it with him, and buried the rest that was useless."

"Yes."
