Let's start over, Your Majesty.

Chapter 294 The action begins

Institute of Ecology

Muirna gently picked up a leaf. Every vein on the translucent emerald green leaf was clearly visible, and a gentle force was constantly transmitted through these veins within the leaf.

She closed her eyes and felt it for a moment, then took a deep breath, put the leaf into a small box, and stuffed it into her pocket.

A vine climbed up the ground, its tip carrying a wisp of bluish-gray light.

She saw it, smiled slightly, and gently patted the vines.
The bluish-gray light flowed from her fingertips, merged into her body, flickered, and then fell silent.

Muirner could feel this life force resonating with her magic, becoming one with her.

After a moment of adjustment, she slowly opened her eyes, a fleeting blue light appearing in them.

The vines reached out and seemed to convey something to her; Muirner smiled faintly:
"Thank you, sister. I understand. I'll be back soon."

The vines brushed against her face, and after saying goodbye again, Muirna took out the glasses from her pocket, put them on, and turned to walk out of the forest.

"Yumeria, wake up." Caesar gently nudged Yumilia, and she slowly awoke from her sleep.

"Caesar... Hmm... So early, what are you doing here?"

Yumilia rubbed her eyes and saw that it was still dark outside the window.

“Didn’t we agree the day before yesterday that we’d accompany Professor Muirna to visit the Magic Energy Research Institute today? We need to leave early,” Caesar said.

"Oh," Yumilia said, having regained some of her senses, and nodded as she remembered the matter.

"I see."

So I had no choice but to get up, wash up, and change my clothes.

"Yumeria, wear this."

Caesar took out a necklace, walked around to the front of Yumilia, stood behind her, and put the necklace around her neck.

"What is this?" Yumilia asked curiously, picking up the necklace and examining it.

The necklace features a crystal with a grayish-blue hue, and its quality is not particularly apparent.

“This is a positioning device. The research institute is very large, and I’m worried you might get lost if you’re not careful,” Caesar said after fastening the necklace.

“Well, I’m not a little kid who would run around everywhere,” Yumilia said, displeased.

But she still tucked the necklace into her inner clothes.

“Alright, let’s go out,” Caesar said.

When I went downstairs, a car was already waiting at the door, but when I rolled down the window, it was Muirner who appeared in the driver's seat.

"Good morning, Sasha and Lia," Muirna greeted the two.

She was dressed very simply today, wearing only a brown trench coat and a shirt underneath, but she wore a pair of gold-rimmed glasses on her pretty face.

"Professor? You can drive?" Yumilia asked in surprise.

“I’ve learned a little, but I don’t drive it often, just to deal with emergencies,” Muirna said.

“Well, if you’re comfortable with my driving skills, then get in the car, I’ll take you to the research institute,” she said.

They got into the car; Caesar sat in the passenger seat, while Yumilia sat alone in the back.

She felt sleepy as soon as she sat down; she had had so much fun during the harvest festival that she was quite exhausted.

"I brought chocolate and milk, let me fill my stomach first."

Muirner handed them two chocolates and a carton of milk.

"Thank you."

Yumilia took it and ate it in small bites.

"Oh right, where's Ita? Didn't she say she was coming too?" she suddenly remembered and asked.

“She went ahead and waited for us; we’ll meet her there,” Caesar explained. “I see,” Yumilia nodded, then asked:

"Professor, are we going to be staying at the research institute for a long time today?"

“Well, more or less,” Muirner said. “After all, it’s also to let you see some new and interesting things, which will be very helpful for your future studies.”

“Oh, I see. Well, I’ll try my best,” Yumilia said earnestly.

Muirna and Caesar exchanged a glance, then Muirna smiled faintly: "Well, I'm rooting for you."

The vehicle started, and they drove towards the research institute.

Gradually, the sky brightened, and a hint of dawn appeared on the horizon.

But Caesar could clearly sense that the sky was unusually oppressive today, mostly covered by dark clouds, as if something was shrouding the earth above.

A faint, dark purple light flickered above the clouds.

All these signs indicate that they have already begun to take action.

Muirner glanced at the sky a few times, remained silent, and continued driving.

Soon the vehicle drove out of the city, and the Magic Energy Research Institute could be seen peeking out above the distant forest.

Once outside the city, the roads widened, and a peculiar scent seemed to permeate the morning air, turning everything in sight a grayish-brown.

At this moment, Caesar could feel its magic flowing freely around him.

Muirner suddenly slammed on the brakes, and the vehicle came to a stop. Meanwhile, a convoy of military vehicles was approaching from the opposite direction.

The military vehicles forced them to stop, and a man in high-ranking military uniform got out of the first vehicle; judging from his rank insignia, he was a captain.

He walked over and slammed his hand on the car window; his expression clearly indicated he had ill intentions.

"Didn't you see the notice?! The road ahead is blocked! Do you want to get shot if you keep driving forward?!" he yelled.

The car window rolled down, and Muirner calmly handed a document to the officer, who took it with a puzzled look. After opening it and reading the contents, his expression changed drastically.

"I'm sorry, I didn't know it was you, Dean," his attitude changed instantly, and he bowed humbly as he apologized.

Although few military personnel had actually seen Muirner in person, they had all heard of this highly respected director of the Ecological Institute. Muirner's position was not something that a mere captain like himself could control.

"You, what brings you here today? And who are these two?" He looked at the other two passengers in the car and asked tentatively.

“I have my own reasons for bringing my students here. I’ve already notified the research institute to receive them, but it seems there’s no need to report to you,” Muirna said calmly.

"Yes, but, that..."

The officer hesitated, as if he wanted to say something, and Muirner looked at him:

"Is there anything else that needs to be investigated?"

The other person paused for a moment, then shook their head: "No, that's all. Have a pleasant journey."

He took a step back and gave her a standard military salute.

Muirna silently started the car and drove away, circling around the rows of military vehicles.

Yumilia watched nervously as the group of fully equipped military vehicles prepared to depart arrived. She noticed one of them towing a piece of equipment that resembled an anti-aircraft gun, covered with a cloth.
She asked uneasily, "Professor, this way... this way seems a bit inconvenient."

“It’s alright, it’s just some things that happen in the kingdom, it has nothing to do with us,” Muirna reassured her.

Yumilia seemed to want to say something, but in the end she obediently sat in the back seat.

Caesar glanced in the rearview mirror and saw the row of military vehicles resuming their journey, seemingly heading towards the vicinity of the city.

Soon they saw a row of barricades and a group of soldiers with real guns and ammunition, and even a tank parked on each side with its engine humming.

The road leading to the research institute has been completely blocked.

After Muirner showed his credentials to the soldiers at the blockade, they were allowed to pass without any problems. They crossed the blockade and, after taking a detour along a mountain road, soon arrived at the entrance of the research institute.
