Let's start over, Your Majesty.
Chapter 243 Trust
Chapter 243 Trust
Muirna entered the separate bathroom room and, looking at her reflection in the smooth mirror, noticed that her eyes were a little red.
I scooped up a handful of water and washed my face, letting the cool water soothe the turbulent thoughts in my heart.
Looking at her wet cheeks in the mirror, she sighed softly.
"What am I doing talking to him about this?"
She sighed and took out a handkerchief to wipe her cheeks.
Just then, footsteps sounded outside, and someone stood at the door of her cubicle and knocked.
"I am Sia."
Xia's voice came from outside the door.
“It’s a bit unexpected to meet in a place like this.” Muirner turned on the tap and rinsed his handkerchief.
"There's nothing we can do about it. They only stay away from museums, so this is the only time I can meet with you," Xia said.
"So, you've made up your mind?" Muirner asked.
After a moment of silence, Xia said, "Be prepared, His Majesty will see you at 10 p.m. tonight."
"Tonight? That's urgent," Muirner said.
“You will remain loyal to His Majesty, right?” Sia said.
“It depends on His attitude toward me,” Muirner said calmly.
Sia remained silent, and finally said only, "Get ready for tonight."
Her footsteps faded into the distance.
Muirner looked up at his own emerald green eyes in the mirror.
"Rean. We'll meet again."
Caesar waited for Muirner on a chair in the rest area, but he inexplicably felt that someone was watching him.
"Could it be a spy in the museum? Someone keeping an eye on Muirner?" Caesar wondered.
He naturally didn't expect the gaze to come from an acquaintance.
Ita, wearing sunglasses and a hat, stayed on the second floor of the exhibition area, staring at Caesar below for over an hour. He had seen everything they did since entering the exhibition area.
"Why did you two have to stay in front of one exhibit and whisper to each other for so long while just browsing the exhibition area?" Ita said resentfully.
“That was just a normal conversation, maybe just talking about history or something,” Delina said from the side.
“Hmph, she was secretly going on a date behind my back anyway,” Ita said.
"I'd like to see what else they're going to do!"
"Patriarch, your interests are really a bit..." Dalina didn't know how to retort.
At this moment, Muirner came out and met up with Caesar. The two talked and then left the Nine Lakes Monument exhibition area together.
"Follow me!" Ita immediately got up and followed.
After leaving the exhibition area, Muirner and Caesar arrived at the outdoor lounge area of the museum, where there was a very unique themed café. The café was decorated in the style of an ancient palace's council hall, with long marble tables and bronze cups. Although this didn't necessarily make the drinks taste any better, the atmosphere was certainly perfect.
Muirner ordered his favorite set meal: a nut platter and two butterbeers. Although the beer had an alcoholic taste, it was like a soft drink and wouldn't make you drunk. It was also sweet, making it perfect for a cold day.
Caesar and Muirner chatted and drank in the coffee shop, having a very pleasant time.
Ita stood outside the coffee shop, watching the two people inside chatting and laughing through the glass. It seemed that Caesar had never laughed so happily when he was with her, and she had never seen him discuss anything so enthusiastically.
Ita suddenly felt a little unwell.
Perhaps in Caesar's heart, it was others who truly made him happy.
After leaving the coffee shop, they visited several more exhibition areas and finally went to the souvenir section to pick out a few souvenirs.
“Little Sasser, what do you think of this?” Muirner picked up a strange mask with sharp teeth, put it on his face, and said to Caesar.
“Going to a haunted house should be a good place to get a job,” Caesar said seriously.
“That’s not necessarily true. I’ve seen far more terrifying costumes,” Muirner said.
“By the way, Professor, I’d like to bring back a gift for Yumilia and Ita. Do you know of any souvenirs here that would be suitable for girls?” Caesar said.
"Well, let me think... Little Lia, she'd probably like cute things, right? You can give her this clay doll. As for Little Ita, she'd probably like things with some unique features?"
Muirner searched,
"Hmm, let me see. I remember seeing something really nice here before. Oh, I found it."
Muirner picked up a pendant that looked like it was made of wood and consisted of two pieces glued together. It could be separated into two halves, with the joint in the middle fitting perfectly.
"This is a style of amulet from the past, meant for two people, usually worn by someone close to them, to share the protective effect. Although this is a replica and doesn't have any magical properties, it should be fine as a souvenir, right?"
Muirner handed it over to Caesar.
“I believe little Ita will really like this gift from you, after all, she loves her Caesar so much,” Muirna said with a smile.
"Yes." Caesar smiled helplessly, but his lips betrayed undisguised agreement.
"Giving this to Ita should cheer her up, right?" he thought, clutching the amulet. "They even exchanged tokens of love!"
Ita watched from afar, biting her finger, looking resentful.
“That was just buying souvenirs,” Delina said helplessly.
“Master, we’ve been secretly following you all day. It’s time to go back. This isn’t exactly something to be proud of,” she couldn’t help but say.
“I haven’t even seen the end yet!” Ita said.
“What if they end up going into the hotel?” Dalina asked.
"How could that be?" Ita said, then hesitated, her heart pounding.
Perhaps that woman intended to take advantage of Caesar, an old elf who had been celibate for centuries, suddenly encountering a young boy who suited his tastes—what would the result be?
Ita dared not think about it anymore.
“No, Caesar will not submit to that woman! Besides, I’m with you. As long as I see that woman make a move, I will definitely rescue Caesar!” Ita said firmly.
"Really?" Delina wondered.
After choosing their souvenirs, Caesar and Muirner left the museum. Muirner suggested having dinner at a restaurant, which Caesar agreed to. By the time they finished dinner, it was already dusk.
They strolled back to the Ecological Institute together, and Muirna stopped at the entrance.
"Alright, that's enough for me. It's getting late, you should head back soon too, so Little Lia won't worry," Muirna said.
“Hmm,” Caesar nodded.
"It was a pleasure to be with you tonight, Professor."
“Me too. It’s been a long time since I’ve gone shopping. It’s so nice to have someone with similar interests to accompany me. I wasn’t bored at all along the way.” Muirna smiled with narrowed eyes.
"So, I'm really looking forward to the next invitation, Xiao Sa."
“Then I’ll have to think about it carefully. Next time, we should go to a more interesting place, right? I don’t think there are many places that can interest you, Professor,” Caesar said.
"It's okay, it's good to have you with me." Muirna winked at him.
"It's not where you go that matters, it's who you go with, right?"
"That's true,"
"Well then, goodbye. Have a good rest today, but you'll have to keep working tomorrow."
Muirna waved to him and walked into the gate of the Ecological Institute.
"goodbye."
Caesar watched her leave, his gaze gradually closing.
"See you later, Muirner."
He turned and walked down the steps of the park.
As soon as he stepped onto the street, a black sedan stopped in front of him. The window rolled down, and Ita's familiar face appeared.
"Itah, what brings you here?" Caesar asked.
“I’ll take Caesar home,” Ita said softly, turning her face away.
How did you know I was here today?
Caesar opened the car door and sat down next to her.
"Just passing by," Ita replied briefly in a low voice.
Caesar noticed her unusual mood, paused for a moment, and asked, "You're still not in a good mood?"
"Hmph." Ita turned her face even further away.
"Anyway, as long as Caesar is happy, I don't care who he's with," she muttered to herself.
Caesar knew she was jealous of Muirner again, and sighed.
"You didn't follow us all day, did you?"
"No way! Who wants to see you two all lovey-dovey and all lovey-dovey?" Ita said.
"And you watched it all day?" Delina thought to herself expressionlessly as she sat in the front row.
"Anyway, Caesar, you definitely feel happier with Muirna,"
“But it is true.” Caesar nodded.
"Ugh," Ita felt a sudden pang in her heart and bit her lower lip tightly.
"But... who can blame me for liking my own Ita more?" Caesar ruffled Ita's hair.
Ita finally turned her face towards him, blinking as she looked at him.
But he quickly turned his head away again.
"I don't believe it."
