Let's start over, Your Majesty.

Chapter 201 Brother-Sister Relationship

Chapter 201 Brother-Sister Relationship
"Serwin!"

Seeing his sister slumped on the ground, lifeless and as if she had lost her soul, Larton was filled with excitement. If Caesar hadn't been holding him back, he probably would have rushed out already.

"be prepared."

Susan's light, airy voice rang out, and before the surrounding dangerous, fantastical creatures could pounce on them all at once, she suddenly closed the distance between herself and Serwyn.

Entering the mind is like traveling through a time tunnel, with bizarre and fantastical flashbacks rushing past you as the mind's world is being constructed.

The construction took longer than expected. During this time, Caesar and Larton stood side by side, neither of them speaking.

Finally, Larton couldn't help but ask, "Who...who are you?"

“Your classmate? We’ve met in class before, haven’t we?” Caesar said.

No, that's not what I meant.

Larton choked for a moment, then quickly realized that it was best not to ask too many questions about Caesar's identity. He just felt that Caesar was even more extraordinary than he had imagined, so he remained silent.

But Caesar quickly added, "What was the cause of your conflict with Serwyn?"

Larton was silent for a moment, then said, “Our parents are getting a divorce soon. My father and I will be with Serwyn, who will be with her mother. Serwyn doesn’t know yet. I accidentally found their divorce papers. They’ve already been signed, and the division of assets will begin next month. At that time, my mother will take Serwyn back to our grandmother’s place, away from the capital, away from me.”

Caesar looked at the man with his head bowed.

"So, because of this, you plan to distance yourself from her? So that she'll resent you and it won't be so painful when you part ways?"

Larton nodded.

Caesar sighed: "Didn't you consider that this would cause her even greater harm? After her parents divorced, even her only close friend, her brother, abandoned her. Do you think she could bear it?"

“What can I do? Our family is ruined. Dad brings women home every day, and Mom only knows how to spend money. Nobody cares about us. If it weren’t for the legal requirement to have custody, they wouldn’t want either of us. So rather than making her cry her heart out when we part, it’s better to make her disappointed in me now,” Larton said in a low voice.

This method of using hatred to eliminate the pain of separation is rather naive, but for Larton at this age, it's all he can do. Separation is a foregone conclusion, and there's nothing a little kid like him can do.

It's best not to meddle too much in other people's affairs.

But Caesar was silent for a moment, then said, "I think you still need to have a good talk with your sister and ask her what she thinks."

“Talking to her won’t solve the problem,” Larton said in a low voice.

“That’s not quite right,” Caesar said, looking at Larton. “While I don’t know much about your family, I can still empathize to some extent with this kind of relationship.”

"In any case, we have to face this together eventually. Rather than waiting until things get unclear, it's better to make things clear now. You and Serwyn have a good relationship, right? Is it worth ruining your years of friendship over something like this, and turning yourselves into enemies in the future?"

"I," Larton took a deep breath and said in a conciliatory tone, "I'll give it a try."

He found it a bit strange. Caesar was about the same age as him, but now he felt like an elder. Was it because of his status?

"arrive."

Susan, who had been silent all along, suddenly spoke. As soon as she finished speaking, the scene, which seemed to be in a time tunnel, abruptly stopped, frozen in that instant. It was a bedroom. Larton quickly recognized it as Serwyn's bedroom, but it was much larger than it actually was, at least twice the size. In the center of the spacious room was not a bed, but a huge birdcage. His sister was sitting inside, holding a paintbrush and scribbling on paper. Large pieces of painted paper were scattered around her, their colors indistinguishable from the chaotic colors outside.

"Serwin!" Larton rushed over to his sister as soon as he saw her, but as soon as he touched the iron birdcage, sharp spikes emerged from it, piercing his hand and leaving it bloody and mangled.

"what!"

He groaned in pain and quickly backed away, clutching his bleeding hand, still shouting into the birdcage, "Serwin! Can you hear me! Wake up! Wake up!"

But the birdcage seemed to be soundproof, and Serwyn remained unmoved.

“Her heart is wounded, broken, shattered into pieces, and she has completely shut herself off,” Susan said quietly.

“What should I do? Tell me what to do! I’ll do anything!” Larton shouted at her.

Susan raised her hand and pointed to the thorny birdcage.

"Unless you, go through it, only when you bear the same pain, can you resonate with her,"

"But be careful, she doesn't recognize you as her brother now. Forcing your way in will only put her on the defensive."

Susan tilted her head: "They might attack you."

Larton gritted his teeth.

"So what? As long as she wakes up."

Larton looked at Serwyn in the birdcage, stepped forward, stared at the spikes, and then grabbed at them.

"Well!"

The pain made him gasp, but he still refused to let go; streaks of blood flowed down the iron cage bars.
He grabbed the barbed wire cage and pried it open with all his might.

Under his movements, the iron cage bars actually deformed, even Caesar showed a surprised look.

However, a deafening roar erupted from the room, and the furniture inside trembled as if warning these intruders.

The curtains seemed to coil towards him like serpentine tentacles, but were severed before they could touch Larton.

Caesar's reassuring voice came from behind.

"Continue, don't worry about anything else, I will protect you."

Having received permission, Larton gritted his teeth, beads of sweat forming on his forehead, and used all his strength to pry open the iron cage.

Finally, through his efforts, the iron bars loosened, becoming wide enough for him to pass through. But as he tried to squeeze through, two plumes of black smoke emerged, forming the images of his parents in front of him.

The fear he hadn't shown when he was covered in wounds was now revealed when he faced his parents.
