Chapter 194 Yumilia's Confession
Chapter 194 Yumilia's Confession
The student representative's speech session has ended; next, it's time for the parent representative's speech session.
Under the watchful eyes of the crowd, Enlid, dressed in a sharp suit, walked onto the stage, while his three bodyguards in black stood at the edge of the stage, their eagle-like eyes watching every detail below the stage.
The entire room fell silent, and everyone watched him quietly.
Enred opened the manuscript in front of him, stared at it for a moment, then turned his gaze to the audience and slowly began to speak:
"I think that with Principal Greenworth's excellent example already set before me, any words I may utter seem pale and powerless. Therefore, today I will only speak to you students on behalf of my adopted daughter, Sia Reyntantin,"
His expression was calm, and he looked straight ahead, just as he always did when he was interviewed in news publications.
"You are the freshest blood in this country, so you must understand that this world is not perfect, and there are still so many things that are worth changing and creating. No matter when or where, I hope you will remember that you bear an incomparably glorious mission, a mission for the future of this country and the future of this world. Each and every one of you is crucial to this country and is the foundation of this society."
"Perhaps you are still wondering what you, who bear this mission, are supposed to do. It's very simple."
Enlid's tone suddenly rose:
"That is to carry out a thorough and revolutionary purification and sublimation of this nation and this country, to completely eliminate those corrupt, decadent, and filthy tumors! To guarantee the absolute justice and perfection of the nation's faith!"
"Anything that hinders the kingdom's rise to power will be swept into the dustbin of history!"
After he finished speaking, the entire audience erupted in applause. Caesar noticed that although many students did not react much to his words, quite a few still showed excitement and enthusiasm. These teenagers, born into noble families, were easily moved by the perfect spiritual pursuit promised by Enrid after their material needs were met.
Caesar clapped silently, his face expressionless as he watched the figure on the stage.
Now that he's achieved this much, it's obvious what he plans to do in the future.
As Enrede stepped down, the applause gradually subsided, and it was Yumilia's turn next.
She was still clutching her prepared cheat sheet in both hands, constantly reciting it, hoping to memorize as much as possible at the end so she could be more at ease.
"Next, please welcome Ms. Yumilia Thranduil, the parent representative of the first-grade students, to the stage to speak." As the announcement rang out, Yumilia's body trembled slightly.
"It's your turn, hurry up and go up," Caesar whispered to her.
"Oh, okay, sure."
Yumilia swallowed nervously and stood up, but she almost tripped and fell after taking just one step.
Caesar quickly helped her up, patted her on the back, and gave her an encouraging smile.
That encouraging smile seemed to give Yumilia a bit of courage. She took a deep breath and walked toward the stage.
As she stepped onto the stage, a completely different style appeared before the audience compared to the grand and imposing scene that Enlid had just witnessed.
"Huh? Such a young girl? Isn't she the parent representative?"
"So cute! Is she a younger sister?"
“But, isn’t that an elf? It’s much older than we imagined,” “That’s amazing, it’s the first time I’ve ever seen an elf,”
Under the intense spotlight overhead, Yumilia took small steps onto the stage and stood before it.
However, a small accident occurred because the platform was designed for adult height, and when Yumilia stood on it, most of her head was blocked.
The staff on site rushed over to fix it, but after trying for a long time without success, they finally brought her a small stool so she could stand on it.
Yumilia had no choice but to stand on a small stool, facing thousands of audience members, her hand holding the script trembling slightly, and she nervously swallowed.
"Hello everyone, I am from Class 1, Grade 1, Red Thistle, and I am an elder of Caesar Thranduil."
"?"
"Is it the student who received the Morning Star Badge?"
"So young."
Amid gasps from some of the audience, Yumilia continued reading:
"I am honored to have this opportunity to share my educational experiences with everyone. However, I haven't actually been of much help to Caesar's studies. In fact, I might even have been more of a hindrance than a help at times. I would drag him out to play when he wanted to study on his days off, and force him to rest when he was studying hard in the evening. So, I am truly ashamed to be invited to share how I raised such an outstanding child as Caesar."
A few laughs came from the audience.
"However, I am certain of one thing: to raise an outstanding child, encouragement and love are indispensable. There's a quote from a book I really like: 'If what a child wants to do is right, then just encourage him before he succeeds or fails.' So, for my child, the only thing I can do is bring him a glass of warm milk when he's tired, do something to make him happy when he's troubled, and hug him when he's frustrated. That's all I can do."
"I know that I'm often more immature than my own child, and sometimes I can't understand what he wants to do. I'm a very slow learner; sometimes I can't even understand when he talks about his dreams. I just try my best to give him the rewards he wants when he gets good grades."
"But what I do understand is that although I don't know much, I will support you. You are my eternal pride. If you ever feel tired while striving for your dreams in the future, you can come home. My hug, warm milk, and meals are waiting for you."
Her voice was clear and crisp, though sometimes she stuttered and mispronounced words, like a primary school girl reading her own essay aloud on a stage. But as she read, the audience below was genuinely moved, and the petite figure on the stage seemed to grow taller without anyone noticing.
"Wow, your relationship with Yumilia is really quite special," Tess said to him, tilting her head slightly in the front row.
She turned to look at Caesar and winked:
"Caesar, are you alright? Your face is so red."
"It's alright, don't worry about me." Caesar cleared his throat and closed his eyes.
It is said that sincerity is the ultimate weapon. Although Yumilia's love for him is usually evident in her actions, hearing these heartfelt words from him made him feel embarrassed.
This heartfelt confession, brimming with maternal love, is truly overwhelming.
Just as he was basking in the envious gazes from all sides, Ita's anxious voice suddenly echoed in his mind:
"Caesar! The anomaly you mentioned is in the Water Garden! It has appeared now!"
