Chapter 108 Execution Day

Alvida never imagined that such a day would come.

Yes, what a glorious day.

She was captured by CP9, the World Government's direct intelligence agency, and secretly imprisoned by the Navy. Two Navy admirals guarded the door, fearing that she would escape.

Even Gol D. Roger, the Pirate King, didn't receive this kind of treatment after his capture.

She wasn't sure where she was, because she had been blindfolded for a period of time during the transfer, and only guessed that this should be Marineford, the Marine Headquarters. For the past few days, she had been imprisoned in a dark little room, and the only people she could see were Akainu and Kizaru.

But she has a good sense of time.

Because in addition to Kizaru bringing her three meals a day on time, Akainu, who came to 'talk' to her, would also tell her the time each time.

Here we go again.

“It’s getting dark. There are still 17 hours left until your execution, and Yanhu Ian hasn’t arrived yet.”

Standing expressionless in front of Alvida, Akainu said in a hoarse voice, "It seems that Ian the Fire Tiger doesn't care that much about your life."

Alvida scoffed, "I already said, I was just someone Ian forced to amass wealth for him. I haven't seen that guy in almost three years. There are countless people who can replace me. You can't use me to threaten him."

"Is that so?" Akainu said coldly, "But your subordinates don't say that."

"...How are they?"

"Who knows? They were picked up after choosing to join the Navy, so it should be alright."

Alvida: "..."

"You have one last chance." Akainu placed a Den Den Mushi on the ground. "This is your last night to consider. Once you're on the execution platform, it will be too late to back out!"

He turned and left.

Alvida stared blankly at the Den Den Mushi, lost in thought. Nirn, Zaka…you bastards, did you betray me? Did you betray Ian?
When she learned that she would be executed, the admiral told her that the execution was a secret one, and that no one except a very small number of people within the Navy and the World Government would know about it.

Therefore, it doesn't matter if the execution is temporarily cancelled.

As long as she's willing to 'abandon darkness and embrace light'!
Joining the Navy as a weapon in their fight against Ian, and publicizing Ian's crimes at sea, is her only way to survive.

"No, it's not really betrayal. To be precise, we were just working for Ian, running a manual labor and freight logistics company. Aside from driving a few ships for him, when were we ever officially recognized as his subordinates?"

So he probably won't come.

How could we possibly let him walk into the navy's inescapable trap with just a few of us?

I don't owe him anything; in fact, he should thank me for helping him manage his company so well.

If we keep pushing through, we'll really die.

Alvida reached for the Den Den Mushi, less than half a meter away, yet it felt so far.

'I'm not reconciled. If I betray him, I'll never see Ian acknowledge my beauty again. I've been looking forward to it all, and I remember seeing his shocked expression when he saw my perfect figure.'

"Ian, you bastard!"

After a long while, she finally picked up the Den Den Mushi, but threw it away fiercely, severing her inner hesitation.

This isn't for you, Ian! I just think the Navy and the World Government are even more disgusting than I imagined. How could I possibly join them?!
The next day, it was dawn.

When she was escorted to the execution platform by the sinister-looking Akainu and joined by her six subordinates who were still in shackles, she realized that the Navy and the World Government were not only disgusting, but also insidious.

“Nirn, Zaka, you…”

"Big Sister Alvida!"

"I knew Sister Alvida wouldn't betray Boss Ian!"

"Exactly! How could Sister Alvida, who's so infatuated with Boss Ian, possibly betray him?!"

"Tch, trying to fool us?!"

Niern and the others seemed to have experienced something similar to Alvida's, and upon seeing Alvida, they all looked at Akainu with disdain and contempt.

Akainu's expression grew even more somber, like a volcano about to erupt. He couldn't understand why, with just a few minor figures, none of his attempts to sow discord had worked.

According to the information, Yanhu Ian has only known these people for less than a year. What kind of charm does he possess that makes these guys willing to die for him?!

"I hope that when you stand on the execution platform, you will not regret it, because it will be too late."

“How could I possibly regret it?” Neiln said, sticking out his neck. “I know that a big shot like you, a powerful figure who has had a smooth life, would never understand us! Four years ago, I was just an ordinary hoodlum. It was Boss Ian who recognized my talent and put me in charge of a few cargo ships.”

Those businessmen who used to look down on me now greet me with friendly smiles. I married a beautiful wife I never dared to dream of, and have a wealthy and happy family—all of this started after Ian joined the gang!

"Exactly! It's unbelievable that we could work under the 'world's strongest'!"

"Being able to work for Boss Ian and know a man like him is enough to make my life worthwhile!"

Hey, you guys.

Alvida chuckled. "Yeah, what would I be like now if I hadn't met Ian? A fat woman wielding a spiked club, forcing people to praise her beauty? Just thinking about it is disgusting."

They enjoyed over three years of glory, which was worth it, but...

"You lot," she suddenly interrupted her six subordinates loudly, "you're all about to die, so stop praising Ian in such a disgusting way. You must be resentful, right? There must be some resentment, right? Let it out!"
Curse Ian! Curse that bastard who got us to this point! Give him a piece of your mind! Don't carry that resentment into your final moments; don't make a fool of yourself and embarrass the laborers!

After saying that, she took the lead in cursing, "Ian, you bastard, aren't you really going to come and save us?!" "Ian! You're such a tasteless jerk...!"

The six members of Neiln were stunned.

Isn't this bad?
"Ian, you bastard...?"

They tentatively swore, and suddenly found that it actually felt kind of good?
"Ian, you bastard!"

Amidst the rising and falling curses, Akainu knew he wouldn't get the result he wanted; these seemingly insignificant people were more resilient than he had imagined.

He merely scoffed, "I hope Yanhu isn't a coward and lives up to your loyalty."

The shouting continued until the vicinity of the Naval Headquarters building, and finally stopped when the execution platform came into view and the figure standing on it could be seen.

Standing in front of the execution platform were Fleet Admiral Sengoku and the seven Vice Admirals of the Marine Headquarters in charge of the execution. On the high platform to the side stood all the Seven Warlords of the Sea, each of them exuding a formidable aura and ready for battle!

In addition, the two Marine Admirals who personally escorted them, Akainu and Kizaru, quickly ascended the other platform to guard the other side.

With this 18-person lineup mobilized, they wouldn't have much trouble destroying even one of the Four Emperors' crews!

And this is only what's visible; in secret, who knows how many others have laid a trap, waiting for Ian's arrival!

'It was truly worth it,' Alvida murmured to herself. Even if she were to die like this, it wouldn't have been a wasted life.

But... 'Ian, you bastard, you're really not going to come save us, are you?'

……

“Alvida insulted me 13 times, Nirn insulted me 6 times, and Zaka insulted me 4 times…”

Still in his Flame Sparrow form, Guan Yi stood on the Empress's shoulder, mentally memorizing the numbers so he could make things difficult for them after they were rescued.

As the seven men drew closer and were escorted to the execution platform, seven lieutenant generals, each holding a knife, stood behind them.

The air on the execution platform seemed to freeze.

During the Warring States period, people kept looking at time.

Akainu's gaze was fixed on the sky.

Kizaru, still recovering from his injuries, quietly stepped back half a body, allowing Akainu to stand in front.

"Hehehehehe... Will they come? With so many monsters standing here so openly, even if Flame Tiger Ian really comes, he'll be scared away, right?" Moonlight Moria chuckled.

Eagle eyes pierced the distance with keen gaze.

Doflamingo's smile grew increasingly exaggerated.

The Empress's shoulders gradually tensed.

Aren't you going to make a move yet? How are you going to do it? Are you going to wait until the moment of execution?!
Guan Yi is waiting for the wind.

Just as the space around the execution platform seemed to be frozen, a gust of wind suddenly blew up.

The empress's hair fluttered in the wind.

Sengoku and the others frowned slightly.

Wind? How could there be wind?
The naval headquarters is located in a doldrums, where there is no wind all year round. Why would the wind suddenly start blowing?
"That is……"

The next instant, a figure appearing on the coast of Marineford attracted everyone's attention—he was tall, wearing a dark green coat, and had a prominent square tattoo on his left cheek.

It's not Ian, but this person's reputation is in no way inferior to that of Flame Tiger Ian!
“Monkey D. Dragon?” Jinbe exclaimed in surprise.

"Why would the leader of the Revolutionary Army appear at Marine Headquarters?!" Akainu asked in a low voice.

"Has he cooperated with the Three Emperors Alliance?!"

The dragon raised its right hand, and the sky suddenly darkened. A massive storm gathered overhead, and dark clouds churned like raging waves. Thunder rumbled within, as if it might strike at any moment and destroy the execution platform where everyone stood!
"So you really want to save them?"

"Stop him! Watch out for Flame Tiger Ian! That man should be here by now!"

Zhan Guo shouted loudly, but out of the corner of his eye he suddenly saw a streak of vermilion light flash by.

The storm pierced through the haze it cast, moving as fast as a flash in space, disappearing in an instant, beyond the limits of what the eye could capture!

That's... Boa Hancock's bird?

Why is it so fast?
Wait, what's that...?!

A sharp glint flashed in Hawkeye's eyes, Sengoku clenched his fist until his knuckles turned white, Kizaru's astonished gaze was blocked by his sunglasses, and Akainu gritted his teeth.

"Damn it! Stop that bird!"

"Execute them!!"

In this sudden and fleeting moment, only these four people recognized Guan Yi's true form. Akainu roared and gave the execution order to the seven vice admirals, but the Flame Sparrow had already circled around Alvida and the other six.

"Flame Ring".

The flames flickered, and then they burst forth!
