Journey to the West: The roadblock!
Chapter 113 Battle Against Red Boy
Chapter 113 Battle Against Red Boy (Part 17)
Meanwhile, Ao Tu fought against Manjushri, battled Zhenwu, and challenged all the gods.
The blue lion beneath Manjushri Bodhisattva opened its massive mouth, its sharp teeth bared, and lunged at Ao Tu, biting right into Ao Tu's leg.
However, Ao Tu's legs were as hard as iron and he couldn't bite them.
Ao Tu grabbed the blue lion's mane with his backhand and punched it hard, smashing the blue lion's head open.
Manjushri Bodhisattva raised his hand and threw the Demon-Binding Rope onto Ao Tu. Ao Tu flapped his wings and broke free from the Demon-Binding Rope.
When Manjushri Bodhisattva saw this, he drew his sword to strike Ao Tu, but Ao Tu swept his back and froze the sword.
Manjushri Bodhisattva was not afraid. He abandoned his sword and revealed his eight-armed golden body. One arm held the wisdom mudra, the other held the demon-subduing mudra, and the remaining arms held a vajra, a bell, a dharma wheel, a flower garland, a jeweled banner, and a jeweled vase, which he then struck at Aotu.
Ao Tu grinned maliciously with sharp teeth and charged forward, bracing himself against Manjushri Bodhisattva's attacks while wildly flailing his arms and legs.
A lotus platform appeared beneath Manjushri Bodhisattva, radiating brilliant light, which blocked Ao Tu's attack. All eight golden arms struck Ao Tu.
The Vajra pestle struck Ao Tu, creating craters and causing flesh to cave in; the Dharma wheel sliced through his body, ripping tendons and causing blood to flow freely; the magic bell shook his mind, emitting chanting, and causing unbearable headaches; the magic vase emitted Buddhist light, shining on his body and dissolving his flesh...
Ao Tu gritted his teeth, his three eyes glared, and he grinned maliciously. He relied entirely on his physical body to withstand the attack, spitting out hurricanes, humming out divine thunder, coughing out lightning, and using his hands and feet to haphazardly unleash water, fire, wood, metal, and earth.
Manjushri Bodhisattva scoffed. Demons are demons after all. He was protected by the radiant light of his lotus throne, and no matter how the demons attacked, he remained unmoved. On the other hand, the demons were trying to withstand the attack with their physical bodies, but how long could they last?
An hour later, the demon was covered in blood, riddled with holes, its flesh churning, tendons exposed, and bones showing.
However, the demons continued their relentless attack without pause.
The lotus throne beneath Manjushri Bodhisattva was dimmed, as if it were about to be breached by demons.
Manjushri Bodhisattva grew somewhat anxious and said, "Great Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara!"
Upon hearing the sound, Guanyin Bodhisattva dropped her jade bottle and used its precious light to calm Ao Tu.
Emperor Zhenwu could not remain inactive, so he rode his heavenly horse over and slashed at Ao Tu with his sword.
The Jade Bottle's precious light immobilized Ao Tu, while the True Martial Emperor's sword pierced Ao Tu's right chest.
Seeing this, Manjushri Bodhisattva broke free, used magic to release the Dragon-Binding Stake from Red Boy's body, and then bound Ao Tu instead.
Ao Tu had been waiting for this moment, and the twelve powers within his body instantly converged together.
The twelve powers are all different; normally, Ao Tu would never dare to do this.
But at this moment, Ao Tu was doomed to die either way.
Why not test our skills on Manjushri Bodhisattva and rescue Red Boy in the process?
Simply put, he really liked the child.
Ao Tu forcibly combined the twelve powers together.
An overwhelming force appeared, Ao Tu's heart pounded violently, his veins bulged all over his body, and his body grew uncontrollably larger.
This is not a good thing. The reason for the increase in size is that this force is too strong, so strong that Ao Tu himself cannot control it at all. Therefore, the body size increases in order to disperse this force.
Otherwise, Ao Tu would explode and die.
However, Ao Tu forcibly defied his instincts, suppressed his increased size, and returned his body to its original size.
The intense force caused blood to flow out of Ao Tu's body, and his flesh to swell.
Wukong, Nezha, and Guanyin Bodhisattva instinctively sensed something was wrong and retreated in unison.
Ao Tu's power reached a critical point, and he suddenly broke free from the binding of the Jade Purification Bottle's precious light. He tightly gripped the True Martial Emperor's sword with his right chest, and with a flap of his wings, he instantly appeared in front of Manjushri Bodhisattva. He then rammed his left shoulder into Manjushri Bodhisattva.
The reason it's the left shoulder is because the right shoulder was cut off by Zhenwu Emperor, while the left shoulder, although the arm was cut off by Manjushri Bodhisattva, still has the shoulder.
Ao Tu slammed hard into Manjushri Bodhisattva's lotus platform, shattering its precious light. Manjushri Bodhisattva's expression changed instantly, as he was forcefully knocked off the platform. Ao Tu snatched Red Boy and threw him far away.
Manjushri Bodhisattva got up to give chase, but Ao Tu blocked his way.
Upon seeing this, Manjushri Bodhisattva took the Dragon-Slaying Stake and smashed it.
Ao Tu raised his right leg and slammed it down hard, hitting Manjushri Bodhisattva's Dragon-Transforming Stake. Manjushri Bodhisattva was immediately sent flying backward.
Zhenwu Emperor caught Manjushri Bodhisattva from behind.
A trickle of blood spilled from the corner of Manjushri Bodhisattva's mouth.
Manjushri Bodhisattva wiped the blood from his mouth, glanced back at Zhenwu Emperor, and said, "Demons are difficult to deal with. Please help me, Your Majesty. I will surely reward you handsomely."
Upon hearing this, Zhenwu could not refuse and nodded in agreement.
Manjushri Bodhisattva propped himself up and looked at the demon in front of him.
Ao Tu stood on one leg in the air, blood flowing uncontrollably from his seven orifices, his whole body trembling, the immense power becoming increasingly difficult to suppress, and his vision already blurring.
Now, Ao Tu only has one left leg.
His right shoulder was cut off by Zhenwu, and his left shoulder was also shattered by the impact after crashing into the precious light on Manjushri's lotus platform during the attack. His right leg, which had just struck the Dragon-Binding Stake and repelled Manjushri, also exploded.
As for the three heads and six arms that appear in the illusion, they can only serve as auxiliary arms in battles of this level and cannot be used like the original body.
Manjushri Bodhisattva said, "Demon, your death is imminent. Even after you die, you cannot protect that little demon. I advise you to surrender. Out of compassion, the Buddha may spare your life!"
Ao Tu grinned maliciously, blood oozing from his fangs, and said:
"I have done all I could; the fate of that little demon is in the hands of Heaven. If he was born, it was my good fortune to have him serve me personally to repay my kindness; if he died, it was simply bad luck, and I cannot blame him."
However, I have 48,000 lives. Even if this one dies, I still have 47,999. You may all come and fight!"
Manjushri Bodhisattva sneered, "What life do you have? You falsely claim to be a sea of blood. Others may fear you, but why would I?"
Ao Tu spoke, his sharp teeth beginning to fall out, his internal power almost out of control. Ao Tu quickened his pace and said, "Manjushri Bodhisattva, we have no past grievances, no present enmity, yet you have gone too far in bullying me. I will test your skills with you today. If you are not afraid of me, then do not dodge."
Manjushri Bodhisattva sneered upon hearing this, remaining standing in place, protected by his golden body, and utterly unafraid.
Manjushri Bodhisattva is revered as the teacher of the Seven Buddhas. Although his body is not that of a Great Luo, he simply lacks the corresponding laws. Like Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva, he is unwilling to be subordinate to others, which is why he has not yet attained enlightenment.
In other aspects, whether it is physical body, soul, or magical power, he is almost identical to a true Great Luo Immortal, with only a slight difference.
The attack by Ao Tu, which resulted in his entire right leg exploding as a price, only caused a slight tear at the corner of Manjushri Bodhisattva's mouth, demonstrating the strength of his physical body.
Now, Manjushri Bodhisattva does not believe that this demon has any ability to harm him.
Ao Tu saw that Manjushri Bodhisattva was indeed standing in the same spot, and laughed:
“Very well, Manjushri Bodhisattva, although we follow different paths, I admire your temperament. I will accept this axe.”
Ao Tu raised his left leg, concentrating all his strength on it. The immense power caused Ao Tu's seven orifices to explode, and his soul fell into chaos. An indescribable rule instantly filled Ao Tu's soul.
This power made Ao Tu feel as if he were in endless chaos, and then one day, a sharp light cleaved everything in two.
This is a move that Ao Tu once mastered.
Ao Tu has always regarded it as his trump card.
Ao Tu had previously used this move unexpectedly when he was fighting Wukong and was in the middle of a great fight.
But at that time, he stopped immediately after using it.
Because this move was too terrifying, Ao Tu was afraid of draining his energy and spirit, so he did not use it.
Ao Tu plans to wait until his strength has improved and he can use this move completely before using it to compete with Wukong.
Unexpectedly, it was used on Manjushri Bodhisattva ahead of schedule today.
In the distant Blackwater River, Ao Tu lay on his throne, with Ming Niang peeling peaches for him and Bai Gu Jing peeling grapes for him beside him.
Suddenly, Ao Tu's face turned pale. He felt a third of his vital energy and spirit being instantly drained away from him. The huge loss almost caused him to fall off his throne.
This primordial power is the power a person is born with, hence the name "primordial power." It is extremely difficult to recover, and even with celestial treasures like peaches of immortality and golden pills, it takes a very long time to recover.
What are they doing over there in the avatar?
On the battlefield, Ao Tu raised his left leg high, gathering his strength within it.
Zhenwu Emperor followed behind Manjushri Bodhisattva. He had originally agreed to help, but at this moment his expression suddenly changed drastically. He turned around, separated Yin and Yang, cut open space, and disappeared in an instant.
Manjushri Bodhisattva, after all, had not yet entered the Great Luo realm, and his control over the rules of heaven and earth was insufficient. He did not have the keen perception of Zhenwu Emperor, and could not quickly sense the terror of this move.
If he foresaw the danger, he could have escaped.
Because Ao Tu poured all his power into this move, it was a move that Ao Tu could not use at this stage, and even Ao Tu himself could not truly control it.
But Manjushri Bodhisattva was too arrogant.
Firstly, Manjushri Bodhisattva believed that since they were almost two great realms apart, how could he possibly defeat him?
Secondly, Manjushri Bodhisattva was at the gate of the Great Luo realm, but had not truly entered it, and therefore did not immediately perceive the terror of this attack.
Manjushri Bodhisattva suddenly felt that he could no longer feel the demon's left leg.
It can be seen, but not perceived.
Manjushri Bodhisattva sensed something was amiss and turned to see how Zhenwu Emperor would respond.
But they discovered that Emperor Zhenwu had disappeared.
Looking up, they saw that Guanyin Bodhisattva and the others had also vanished without a trace.
Manjushri was startled and had a bad feeling.
At this moment, all of Ao Tu's vital energy was drained and concentrated in his left leg, which he then thrust down hard.
Ao Tu exploded, turning to ashes and leaving nothing behind.
Only a broken sliver of axe light fell.
The reason it is broken is that the axe light is less than one-fifth complete, and it is still tattered and not fully condensed.
However, the power brought by this broken axe light was beyond the imagination of Manjushri Bodhisattva.
Manjushri Bodhisattva's expression instantly turned extremely terrified, as his body began to issue an extreme warning.
Catastrophe!
Manjushri Bodhisattva turned to run away, but found it was too late.
For some reason, he felt as if he were in a state of chaos, unable to see the world, with nowhere to escape.
They could only watch helplessly as the broken axe light fell.
Manjushri Bodhisattva used the Dragon-Hiding Stake to block it.
In an instant, the Dragon-Hidden Stake split in two.
Manjushri Bodhisattva hastily used his eight-armed golden body to block the attack, but the axe flashed and severed all eight arms.
The axe light struck Manjushri Bodhisattva directly, easily slicing open his chest and severing his heart, about to split him in two.
Suddenly, a sigh rang out.
Axe Light and Manjushri Bodhisattva were captured remotely.
