The Star Train's Journey Through the Heavens

Chapter 14 Awakening of Martial Soul on March 7th

Chapter 14 Awakening the Martial Soul on March 7th

"It's confirmed, Xing is the silly one." March 7th nodded.

"What can I do? It's normal that I can't recall any of my past memories and can't speak as coherently as Teacher Danheng," March 7th still managed to defend herself.

Upon hearing March 7 mention his memories, Meng Huaifeng glanced at the three of them.

One was forced into reincarnation and has incomplete memories of their past life; another had no memories of what happened before they were frozen; and yet another only has a few days' worth of memories left.

Three people cannot piece together a complete memory.

Fortunately, I didn't lose my memory and filled the gap in the team.

"I have a feeling you're thinking about something rude." March 7th looked at Meng Huaifeng suspiciously.

"It's all an illusion, just an illusion." Meng Huaifeng chuckled and changed the subject: "Should we experience the local culture and awaken our martial spirits?"

The Martial Soul system is much weaker than the Destiny system, but is it so weak that you can't even experience or understand it?
What's wrong with traveling to other places and experiencing the local culture?

To look down on things weaker than oneself simply because one is strong is utterly arrogant.

Regardless of strength or weakness, anything that is unfamiliar to us is worth exploring, investigating, and understanding.

"Can we?" Dan Heng frowned.

Martial Souls must be a special talent of people in this world, right?

Are they not from this world? Can they really awaken a martial soul?

"Go, of course I'll go! I'll give it a try. I'm really curious to see what kind of martial soul I can awaken." March 7th was quite interested and said with great enthusiasm.

“Then let’s go. I’ve already found out where the Spirit Hall is in this city,” Meng Huaifeng said.

"Xing, hurry up! What... what are you doing?! You can't rummage through the trash can!" March 7 glanced at Xing, then let out a shriek like a groundhog and rushed over to pull her away.

"Wait! I haven't seen what's inside yet!" Xing protested vehemently.

"What could be inside? Garbage, of course!"

What kind of trash is there?

Meng Huaifeng looked at Dan Heng: "Was she like this before?"

Dan Heng silently recalled Xing's behavior at the Black Tower Space Station and slowly nodded: "There were signs of this at the last station."

"Isn't this also a kind of pioneering spirit?" Meng Huaifeng shrugged.

“…You’re right,” Dan Heng agreed.

The Spirit Hall is the largest spirit master organization on the Douluo Continent. It has long provided free spirit awakening services for ordinary people and distributed gold spirit coins to low-level spirit masters, allowing them to focus more on cultivation without having to struggle for a living. It also restrains high-level spirit masters, maintains order in the spirit master world, and suppresses evil spirit masters.

When Jiang Xing was brought to the Spirit Hall, Meng Huaifeng, who knew the Douluo Continent best, stepped forward to negotiate with the gatekeeper.

"Brother, we'd like to ask someone to help us awaken our martial souls, but we don't know who to contact," Meng Huaifeng said politely.

The gatekeeper glanced at the four people. Judging from their clothes and appearance, they didn't seem to be ordinary people, but they weren't carrying any children. He reminded them, "Apart from the awakening days designated by the Spirit Hall, it costs one gold soul coin to have a deacon awaken your spirit. If you want a deacon to come to your door for the awakening, it will cost an additional ten gold soul coins. The second office on the right in the lobby on the first floor is where Deacon Liu is on duty today."

"Thank you for reminding me," Meng Huaifeng said.

The hall was filled with many Soul Masters, some there to get their Soul Master levels certified, and others to collect their monthly subsidies.

After passing through the lobby, the four arrived at the office of Steward Liu, as mentioned by the gatekeeper. They knocked on the door, and a reply came from inside: "Come in."

Upon opening the door, the first thing that catches the eye is the Martial Soul Awakening Array in the center of the room. To the right is a desk where a young woman dressed in a white outfit and black cloak, with the character "魂" (soul) on her chest, is sitting.

Deacon Liu glanced at the four people, then took out paper and pen and asked routinely, "Awakened Martial Soul? Didn't the child come? Ten gold soul coins for fieldwork. Which village? How many people?"

"Please, Deacon Liu, help us awaken our martial souls. Here is the fee for the awakening." Meng Huaifeng took out the four gold soul coins given to him by Flander and placed them on his desk.

"You guys?" Deacon Liu was stunned, wondering if he had misheard.

“Yes, it’s us.” Meng Huaifeng nodded affirmatively.

"No, you're all so old and haven't awakened your martial souls yet?" Deacon Liu still found it unbelievable.

The Spirit Hall's influence extends throughout the entire continent. Even in the most remote mountainous areas, Spirit Hall deacons regularly travel there every year to help people awaken their spirits. How could there be someone so old who hasn't awakened their spirit yet?
"Well, we can't really say why, but we really don't have a Martial Soul yet." Meng Huaifeng felt a little awkward under Deacon Liu's gaze.

"Alright." Deacon Liu finally believed it and reminded you, "At your age, it's really meaningless whether you awaken your martial soul or not. Even if you have innate soul power, if you miss the ten years or so when soul power grows the fastest, it will be difficult to achieve anything."

"Thank you for your concern, Deacon. We understand, but we are just a little curious about what our martial spirits are like," Meng Huaifeng said.

"Judging from your demeanor and attire, you're not ordinary people. You certainly don't care about a few gold soul coins. Alright, I'll awaken your martial souls. Who wants to go first?" Deacon Liu asked, no longer wanting to interfere.

"Me! Me! Me!" March 7th eagerly raised his hand.

“Then everyone else, please go out first. Miss, you stand in the center of the magic circle.” Deacon Liu walked to the awakening magic circle and said to March 7.

Meng Huaifeng and the other two left the office, and March 7th followed instructions and entered the magic array.

"What should I do?" March 7 asked nervously, not even knowing if he, an outsider, had a martial spirit.

"You don't need to do anything, just follow my instructions." Deacon Liu didn't waste any time and directly summoned her martial spirit, a scythe, which floated in her palm.

Then, he swiftly clapped his hands, and six faint green lights flowed into the six black awakening stones on the ground. Instantly, a layer of golden radiance was released from the six stones, forming a pale golden light shield that enveloped March 7.

The magic circle was set up according to the size of a six-year-old child, and March 7th appeared extremely restrained within the light barrier.

Golden specks of light floated out from the Awakening Stone on the ground and entered March 7's body.

On March 7th, he clearly felt an energy different from imaginary energy appear in his body, and it produced a magical change with a certain quality within him.

As the change was about to end, a surge of imaginary energy automatically merged into it. March 7 felt that she could stop the change and expel this energy with a single thought, but she did not do so, quietly waiting for the change to end.

In the office, the temperature suddenly dropped by more than ten degrees. Snowflakes appeared out of nowhere and danced around March 7th. In March 7th's right hand, a snowflake-shaped ice crystal appeared, crystal clear, constantly reflecting the sunlight and shimmering.

"An ice elemental martial soul, so beautiful. This... this amazing phenomenon, this is at least a top-tier martial soul!" Deacon Liu exclaimed in surprise.

"Quickly, quickly test their soul power."

Deacon Liu picked up the crystal ball from the desk and placed it in March 7's hand.

On March 7th, he instinctively channeled imaginary energy into the crystal ball, which instantly shone as brightly as a light bulb.
