Warhammer: The Time Traveler
Chapter 205 Weapon Plans
Chapter 205 Weapon Plans (Eighth Update)
Meanwhile, the Arakasaka command channel quickly returned to order after a brief period of chaos, but the atmosphere was completely different.
"Is the analysis complete?" The frontline commander's voice suppressed excitement. "Confirmed to be an unknown weapon model! This could be an even more valuable discovery than the shield technology!"
The technical analyst's voice was equally urgent but professional: "Preliminary assessment indicates a molecular-level disintegration effect. This weapon technology far surpasses any of our existing individual soldier equipment. Commander, I recommend changing the operational objective and prioritizing the capture of the experimental aircraft or at least obtaining its weapon fragments!"
A glint of greed flashed in the commander's eyes, and he immediately issued a new order: "Order 'Hunter B Team' to move out immediately! Coordinate with the remaining two 'Onimusha' units and hold the target at all costs."
Note: Try to keep the machine intact, especially the weapon system on the right arm!
However, just as Arasaka was redeploying his troops, Valerie in the test area received new instructions.
"Test task complete, data collection has reached the expected threshold," the AI assistant's voice calmly announced. "Immediate evacuation to a safe area is recommended."
Valerie glanced at the tactical interface. Two dots representing surviving "Onimusha" were reorganizing in the distance, while four new high-speed signals were flanking from the flanks.
"Trying to run? Not so easy!" a pilot of an "Oni Warrior" shouted in the public channel, clearly having received a death order.
Two surviving Arasaka power armors lunged at her from the left and right, attempting to block her retreat with crossfire.
"Escape route planning complete. Recommendation: Eliminate the pursuit threat." The AI calmly proposed the solution.
Valerie took a deep breath, pulled the control stick back slightly, and the red power armor turned and retreated in a seemingly clumsy manner.
But just as the two "Onimusha" thought they had succeeded and were sprinting at full speed, the AI's prompt sounded again: "Emergency brake, turn right 37 degrees, right arm attack window: 0.8 seconds."
Valerie did it without hesitation.
The massive body of the red power armor suddenly stopped and turned around, its right fist, carrying a deadly disintegrating force field, precisely meeting the "Oni Warrior" charging from the right.
The pilot of that machine had no time to react and could only watch helplessly as the iron fist sank into his cockpit area.
Another tooth-grinding cracking sound followed as the upper body of the second "Onimusha" turned into a cloud of metallic dust.
"The target on the left has entered optimal firing range." The AI notification followed.
Valerie didn't even turn around. The auxiliary weapon bay on her left arm opened instantly, and a series of specially designed armor-piercing rounds roared out, accurately piercing the leg joint of the last "Onimusha".
The out-of-balanced machine crashed to the ground, gliding a short distance and kicking up a cloud of dust.
"Threat eliminated, continue evacuation."
The entire process was seamless, taking only a few seconds from turning around to resolving the two threats.
When the newly deployed "Hunter B Team" arrived, they only saw the back of a red power armored figure steadily retreating, and two piles of wreckage on the ground still flickering with electric sparks—one of which was a strange powdery substance.
"Damn it! It got away!" The B team leader slammed his fist on the control panel, but dared not continue the pursuit.
The opponent had retreated into the cover of the enemy's defensive line, and that terrifying right fist still made them shudder.
On the Ghosthound's position, Colonel Hansen couldn't help but whistle: "Clean and efficient! This pilot is a good prospect."
Meanwhile, the "Butcher" on Lhasa Road nodded slightly in his cockpit: "Accurate judgment, decisive execution. That auxiliary system is quite excellent."
Valerie piloted her red power armor steadily back to her position. When the hatch opened, her forehead was covered with fine beads of sweat.
Although the battle was brief, it was extremely taxing on both mental and physical strength.
"How are you feeling?" Chen Yu's voice came through the encrypted channel, still calm and composed.
“This weapon… is terrifying,” Valerie answered truthfully, looking down at her mechanical right hand, “but it is also undeniably powerful.”
"The data collection was a success," Chen Yu said. "Go back and get some rest. Starting tomorrow, you will learn how to use a wider variety of weapon systems."
Valerie took a deep breath and climbed out of her power armor. When she stood on the ground again, she felt her steps were a little unsteady.
She glanced back at the dark red steel giant, knowing that from this day forward, her life had completely changed direction.

After Valerie left, Chen Yu's crimson optical lens turned to the dark red power armor standing quietly in the center of the workshop.
The data cable extends from the console like a living thing, precisely connecting to the interface on the back of the power armor.
"Retrieve all the test data and focus on analyzing the efficiency of the driver's operation and the coordination between the assistance system." He gave the instruction to the servo skull floating beside him.
Massive amounts of data scrolled rapidly across the screen.
Chen Yu quietly examined each frame, each operation command, and each system response.
After a moment, he slowly spoke: "The pilot's basic skills are adequate, and his combat awareness is acceptable. However, under pressure, there is a noticeable delay in coordination with the auxiliary systems."
His voice carried a tone of cautious assessment: "She relied too much on her own judgment and failed to fully trust the tactical advice provided by the AI. In two of the three evasive maneuvers, hesitation in her actions resulted in an additional 7% consumption of shield energy. Her melee kill efficiency also did not reach the theoretical optimal value."
The servo skull emitted a regular humming sound, projecting several key data nodes, confirming his judgment.
"Combat effectiveness has not reached its optimal theoretical value." Chen Yu finally concluded, "Human-machine collaboration requires more training."
His attention turned to weapons systems.
He was satisfied with the combat data of the power gauntlets, but their extremely short range and unique killing mechanism limited tactical flexibility.
“A single weapon cannot cope with complex battlefields.” He pulled up a 3D structural diagram of the power armor, his metal fingers lightly tapping several key areas. “We need to establish a standardized weapon configuration plan.”
He quickly came up with two initial directions.
The first option is relatively balanced: a small-caliber laser cannon is added to the shoulder to provide reliable medium- and long-range firepower suppression; a physical shield is also provided to enhance frontal defense; and the melee weapon is the chainsaw sword, which has been proven in actual combat.
This configuration is both offensive and defensive, and has wide adaptability.
The second option focuses more on enhancing firepower output while retaining key close-range deterrence: removing the relatively minor left forearm and replacing it with a fixed heavy weapon module.
There are also two options: the plasma bombardment cannon, which is extremely powerful and can instantly vaporize most heavily armored targets; or the storm bombardment gun, which, although slightly less powerful per shot, has a faster rate of fire, higher reliability, and is easier and cheaper to maintain.
The core idea behind this configuration is to utilize the heavy weapon on the left arm to provide powerful mid-to-long-range suppression and obstacle-breaking capabilities, while the fully preserved right arm and its powered gauntlet ensure a decisive solution in close-range or sudden engagements.
This allows the power armor to function as both a mobile turret and a weapon that can deliver devastating blows to enemies who break into the inner circle.
Chen Yu's processor rapidly simulated the performance of the two configurations under different battlefield environments.
“The second option might be more in line with the current driver’s…personality traits,” he muttered to himself, the crimson lens flickering slightly. “But the cost and logistical burden need to be carefully weighed.”
He did not make a decision immediately.
The design and prototyping of these weapon modules takes time, and the integration between Valerie and the power armor is far from over.
“Record these two plans,” Chen Yu said to the Servo Skull. “Send the technical parameters of the heavy weapon module to the Death World Base and arrange for apprentices to begin production.”
He pulled up the weapon interface data and continued, "At the same time, send these standardized interface protocols to military technology. Let them provide several indigenous weapon solutions based on this framework."
The servo skull emitted a confirmation buzz and immediately began executing the dual commands.
Chen Yu watched the data transmission progress closely. Allowing the technological approaches of the two worlds to converge at this juncture might bring some unexpected gains.
The power of weapons in the Warhammer universe is undeniable, but the technology in this world may offer a different perspective in certain specific areas.
"Let's see what solutions they can come up with," he muttered to himself, then turned and walked towards the main control panel. The production of the weapon modules would take time, and in the meantime, he had much more data to analyze.
