Lord blessed by the elves

Chapter 113 Magic Potion

Chapter 113 Magic Potion
Kruse immediately grasped the key information—"information" could aid in recovery!
His mind raced. Although this lord was currently a huge problem and a potential danger, if he could establish a good relationship with him, or even help him recover some of his strength, it might turn into a powerful trump card for the territory.

He quickly adjusted his expression, displaying just the right amount of respect and concern, and promptly offered flattery:
"Your Majesty the Great Kael is indeed incredibly powerful. To have made such progress simply by supplementing information is truly astonishing." He bowed slightly and asked sincerely in Elvish, "I wonder what kind of assistance I, or Lionfang Territory, can provide to help you quickly restore your former supreme power?"

He adopted an attitude of being willing to do everything in his power to help.

Upon hearing this, Panda Kyle's enormous black eyes instantly lit up, as if it had seen a priceless treasure. It even subconsciously leaned forward, its desire urgent, and spoke directly through its mind:

"Potions! The potions you human knights use for training!" Its intent was almost scorching hot. "The pure energy they contain has miraculous effects on my healing injuries and replenishing my essence! The more the better, and the higher the quality the better!"

"..."

Upon hearing this answer, the perfectly timed smile of concern and respect on Kruse's face froze instantly, then collapsed at a visible speed, leaving only a distorted expression that was more like crying, filled with embarrassment and bitterness.

Magic potion?!
And the more the better, the higher the quality the better?!

What a joke!
The importance of potions to a knight's training is self-evident; they are a strategic resource that can accelerate the accumulation of battle aura, temper the physical body, and even help break through bottlenecks!

Its preparation requires precious magical plants and the meticulous crafting of magicians. Each portion is extremely valuable and often needs to be exchanged for gold coins or even magical materials.

Lion Fang Territory was not very wealthy to begin with, and it had already consumed a considerable portion of its savings and resources in order to support his and Rezal's training.

The territory is currently in a period of rapid development, and money and resources are needed everywhere. The promotion of new crops, the construction of the territory, the maintenance of the army... which one is not a money pit?

Now, this old man is asking for magic potions, and "the more the better"?
This is practically draining Lion Fang Territory's already meager resources, and could even seriously affect his and Rezal's, and even the future training progress of the territory's promising knights!

Kruse's mood at that moment was as if he had just seen the clouds of hope for investment and instantly plummeted to the bottom of financial bankruptcy.

Looking at the enormous panda staring at him with pleading eyes, he realized for the first time with such clarity that raising a dragon, even a wounded dragon that had been turned into a panda, might cost far more than he had imagined.

Moreover, after cultivating to the level of Gold Knight, one needs to take a magic potion to break through to the level of Earth Knight.

Now, Father Reyes has already started taking magic potions, but due to the low income from the territory, he can only maintain his strength to prevent it from declining, and it seems like a long way off before he can break through to become an Earth Knight.

He opened his mouth, feeling his throat dry, and finally managed to force a very difficult smile, replying in broken Elvish:

"Your Majesty Kyle... this matter... the potion is of fundamental importance to the territory, please... allow me to carefully plan and make arrangements..."

If even the father doesn't have enough magic potions for cultivation, where would he get the supplies for the shape-changing dragon?

Just as Kruze was bleeding inside and forcing a smile at His Majesty Kael's outrageous demand for potions, a respectful voice rang out from outside the pet room, interrupting his awkward conversation with this "money-devouring beast."

"Young Master, the Master requests your presence in the meeting room." Butler Buffet's familiar voice came through, as steady as ever.

Upon hearing this, Kruze felt as if he had been granted a pardon. He quickly turned around, his face showing just the right amount of surprise and concern as he looked at Butler Buffel at the door: "Buffel, you're back? You've had a long day. How's the construction of the new village going?" He swiftly steered the conversation away from the troublesome potions and instead inquired about the progress of the beginner quest he had issued.

This was both a way to divert attention and something he genuinely cared about, as the construction of the new village was related to his system tasks.

Butler Buffet bowed slightly, his face showing a weary yet energetic expression, and respectfully reported, "Young Master, the basic construction of the new village, including the planned foundations for houses, roads, and irrigation canals, has been initially completed according to your requirements. The biggest constraint at present is the population. As long as enough people can move in, the village will be able to start operating immediately and cultivate the surrounding wasteland."

His report was concise yet pointed out the core problem: the infrastructure is in place, but the population is lacking.

Kruse nodded, somewhat satisfied with the progress.

While Kruse was blocking the butler, the panda transformed back into its original young form.

“Very good, I will transfer the serfs there tomorrow.” He praised, then said to Steward Buffet, “I will go to the meeting hall to see my father now.”

He turned back to the panda Kyle, who was staring at him with displeasure, and said apologetically in Elvish, "Your Majesty Kyle, I am busy with affairs of the territory, so I must take my leave. I will do my best to raise the potion, so please wait patiently."

After saying that, without waiting for Kyle's response, mainly because he was afraid that it would make some unreasonable demands, he quickly followed Butler Buffet out of the pet room, leaving the "god" who had grown larger and whose appetite and needs had also grown larger behind him for the time being.

Walking down the corridor leading to the conference hall, Kruse's mind was in turmoil.

On one side were territories and new villages in dire need of development, and on the other side were shapeshifting dragons crying for precious potions, as well as the upcoming award ceremony and potential attention from all sides... He felt an unprecedented weight on his shoulders.

"It seems I need to find a way to increase revenue and reduce expenditure, or... find a new source of potions." He pondered to himself, knowing that satisfying His Highness Kyle's needs was probably one of the unavoidable problems ahead.

Kruse strode into the castle's meeting hall.

The atmosphere in the hall was solemn. Father Reyes sat in the head seat, his face resolute, having regained the dignity of a lord and legion commander.

Wilstone stood behind Reyes with his arms crossed, like the most loyal guard, his posture upright and his eyes sharp, perfectly embodying the role of the first valet.

On the right-hand seat sat Carter and Cardo, two loyal knights who had followed Reyes for many years. Although they were seated, their posture still carried the meticulousness of soldiers, while their eyes revealed a hint of anticipation and excitement.

On the left, Rezael was sitting in the second seat. He saw Kruse come in and nodded slightly in acknowledgment. The empty seat next to him was clearly reserved for Kruse.

Kruse first nodded to his father, who was in the main seat, and then cast greeting glances at Wilstone, Carter, Cardo, and his brother Rezal, thus completing his greeting to everyone present.

He had barely sat down when Reyes spoke impatiently, his tone carrying the air of a long-considered decision and a desire to discuss it with his eldest son:
"Kruze, you've arrived. Perfect timing. I was planning to bestow knightly titles upon my uncles Carter and Cardo. What do you think?"
