Chapter 81 Found you!

Ken Sakamoto has just returned to his old apartment in Adachi Ward.

He was refreshing the "Future Film Stars" call for submissions page on his phone.

I quickly found my submitted work, "Looking Back Suddenly," and clicked on it to take a look.

The page is very simple, with only a brief introduction to the work, a link to read it online, and a rating section.

This webpage is public; any user can read and rate it.

Currently, his work already has several ratings.

"Sensitivity 3000 times: 10 points"

Anonymous reader: 9 point

"If Miracles Have Color: 9/10"

Anonymous reader: 1 point

One 10 points, two 9 points, and one 1 point?
Ken Sakamoto frowned slightly and clicked on the 1-star rating.

This 1-star review also included a comment:

"I've been following this author's 'Chainsaw Man.' He said in a live stream that he was going to publish a short story, and I saw it now. But it made me cry, I really cried... I've been reading it since noon, the whole afternoon, and I feel like I'm going to cry. Fujino and Kyomoto's ending was just like that... Author, how could you be so cruel! Author, I'm going to kill you..."

"..."

No, can't you be a little more objective in your ratings?

I was moved to tears, don't you deserve a 10/10 rating?
Although it was given a score of 1, from another perspective, this precisely proves the appeal of the work "Looking Back Suddenly".

Fortunately, the final decision on this call for submissions rests primarily with the judges.

After all, the purpose of the entire call for submissions is to select the most suitable works for film and television adaptation, and the public ratings from readers are more of a reference.

The evaluation of such short works is definitely different from that of long-running shonen manga; they require a greater emotional impact.

Ken Sakamoto closed the webpage.

It was just uploaded, and the judges probably haven't seen it yet. I'm sure the judges are professionals.

After putting down his phone, Ken Sakamoto immediately resumed working on his manuscript.

We've now submitted the manuscript for chapter 17, and the next step is to draw chapter 18.

The windows were open, mainly for ventilation.

Apart from some strange noises at night, the residential area is generally quiet, and the occasional car passing by will not last long.

But just then, Ken Sakamoto heard a particularly loud car engine sound outside.

At first, he ignored it and continued to bury himself in his drawing.

The sound hadn't disappeared by the time he finished drawing that page, so he got up to close the window.

Arriving at the bedside, Ken Sakamoto casually looked outside.

At that glance, a red Porsche was parked on the narrow alleyway below the apartment building.

Immediately, a loud alarm rang in Sakamoto Ken's mind.

He was very familiar with this car; it was Mikazuki Haruna's Panamera, a left-hand drive imported car.

They had quite a few encounters in the car back then, but her car was a four-seater with a control panel separating the back seats, which wasn't very convenient.

Fortunately, the passenger seat can be folded down a bit, so there is enough space. The chassis and shock absorption are also good. It has more sports car quality than her other Mercedes-Benz S-Class, and more luxury than her other convertible Boxster. It's just right.

But how did she end up here?

Does she know where I live?

Ken Sakamoto moved back slightly, but now he didn't have to worry about being seen by Haruna.

Because she was already stuck in this alley.

A car over five meters long could easily navigate the wide streets near her house, but now she was driving into this narrow alley, and his apartment was at the end of the road, beyond which lay the temple wall, making a U-turn impossible; he could only reverse. And then, this guy's driving skills weren't great either; he was the driver most of the time in the last playthrough.

Haruna was reversing, but the angle was wrong, and she scraped against a flower bed that a neighbor had placed in front of their house.

She stopped the car and hurriedly got out to check.

The flower bed was fine, but the front of the car had a scratch.

The guy stomped his foot angrily, righted the flower bed, and got back into the car to continue reversing.

After fussing around for ten minutes, they finally left the alley.

However, she hadn't left yet; she stopped by the roadside.

Then she got out of the car and walked into the alley where the apartment was located.

She stood downstairs at the apartment building, looking around, while Ken Sakamoto hid behind the curtains.

I carefully recalled my experience from last week's episode.

Ken Sakamoto was certain that she didn't know the address of the apartment. When they met, she had already moved out. He had only mentioned to her that he used to live in a very run-down apartment.

There are so many dilapidated apartments in the suburbs of Tokyo, there's no way she could locate them.

So... how exactly did this guy find out?
Even within the entire Shueisha publishing house, only editor Kaji knew his home address. Sakamoto Ken felt that editor Kaji's professional ethics were trustworthy; she would never reveal matters concerning his personal privacy.

Ken Sakamoto peeked out slightly and saw Haruna walk around below before leaving. Just then, other residents came out of the apartment building.

So Sakamoto Ken watched from upstairs as Haruna ran up to the roof and got under the eaves.

Now the view is blocked, and I can't see anything.

She actually came in!
……

After receiving the message from the receptionist, Mikazuki Haruna immediately drove to the outside of Shueisha to wait.

She had assumed that Ken Sakamoto was going to take the train, and planned to follow him from a distance.

But when she saw him standing by the roadside waiting, Haruna knew he wanted to hail a taxi.

So, I immediately ran to the parking lot, drove the car out, and waited on the side of the road at the street corner.

Seeing Ken Sakamoto get into the car, she followed him from a distance, trailing him all the way to the residential alley.

Ultimately, it was confirmed that he had entered the building.

Now, as Mikazuki Haruna walked into the apartment building, she felt a bit of novelty looking at the dilapidated furnishings around her.

She had never lived in such a place; she had only seen similar old apartment buildings on some television programs.

Haruna first walked into the corridor at the front of the first floor, looked at each room, and found that even the toilet and bathroom were shared by the entire floor.

Once we went up to the second floor, the layout was exactly the same as the first floor.

There was only a room number written simply with a paint pen next to the door, and no other markings.

However, this was Haruna's second visit to the apartment building. The first time, she went to the apartment building not far from the school based on her memory.

Although the building is also old, that apartment building is being maintained and renovated, and it's much better than this one.

But every apartment building should have one thing in common: a mailbox for receiving mail.

Returning to the main entrance on the first floor, there's a small administrator's room, but it's empty now.

Next to the administrator's office is a row of mailboxes.

Haruna Mikazuki checked them one by one, and sure enough, she saw that name in the second row:

"Room 202: Ken Sakamoto".

"Got you!"
