[The Great One gives birth to water. Water, in turn, assists the Great One, thus forming Heaven. Heaven, in turn, assists the Great One, thus forming Earth.]

Heaven and earth complement each other, thus creating the divine. The divine complement each other, thus creating yin and yang. Yin and yang complement each other, thus creating the four seasons.

The four seasons complement each other, thus creating cold and heat. Cold and heat complement each other, thus creating dampness and dryness. Dampness and dryness complement each other, completing the year.

[Therefore, the year is born of dampness and dryness; dampness and dryness are born of cold and heat; cold and heat are born of the four seasons; the four seasons are born of yin and yang; yin and yang are born of spirit; spirit is born of heaven and earth; heaven and earth are born of Taiyi. Therefore, Taiyi is hidden in water and moves with the seasons.]

[It cycles endlessly, taking itself as the mother of all things; it waxes and wanes, taking itself as the principle governing all things. This is what Heaven cannot kill, Earth cannot bury, and Yin and Yang cannot create. The superior man understands this, and this is called the Way!]

In these texts, Taiyi is described as the origin of everything, comparable to Pangu who created the world, and all the gods are happy to be born in the era of Taiyi.

Yuanshi Tianzun also tried to pass down the immortal path through his incarnation, using the immortal path to control the gods, and using the immortal path to stop Taiyi from obtaining a continuous flow of fortune.

but……

The results were less than satisfactory!

The great worlds are slightly better, with abundant spiritual energy, providing the resources for cultivating immortality. However, the middle and small worlds are mostly devoid of spiritual energy. Even if all the spiritual energy and resources of the entire world are gathered together, it is difficult to nurture a true Taiyi or Daluo!
However, the need for spiritual energy in the acquired divine path is negligible. As long as the poison of incense is resolved, the wishes of all living beings are the best resources for cultivation.

Many practitioners of the acquired divine path, holding the Eastern Emperor Purple Book and chanting the true name of Taiyi, possess a mysterious power that absorbs the incense poison from their bodies.

According to the calculations of the Primordial Celestial Venerable, the poison of these incense offerings all followed the causal line and fell into the myriad wonders that Taiyi evolved through its own Great Dao.

Subsequently, it was annihilated by a purifying force, completely turning into nothingness.

As for the practitioners of the Shinto path, having benefited from it, they naturally felt even more grateful for the grace of Taiyi, and the power of their vows further strengthened the imprint of Taiyi.

Thus, the system was formed in which all living beings in the heavens and myriad realms offered incense and prayers to the practitioners of the divine path, and the practitioners of the divine path in turn worshipped Taiyi!
In the eyes of many practitioners of the divine path, the Taiyi era was a golden age where everyone was like a dragon, a glorious age without a shortage of resources or intrigue, where everyone could cultivate and all things could awaken their spirits.

In this context, the saying naturally arose: Kagura was born in the time of Taiichi...

After some attempts, Yuanshi Tianzun also realized that it was impossible to use the Immortal Path to suppress the Divine Path in those lower-level worlds.

In such a world, if one cultivates the path of immortality, perhaps by pooling the power of an entire realm, one could provide for several beings at the Heavenly Immortal or True Immortal level.

However, if the incense offerings and prayers continue uninterrupted, not to mention celestial immortals and true immortals, a single middle-thousand world could even support several beings at the Taiyi realm.

Of course, the path of the gods is not without its resources; the process of crafting divine artifacts and cultivating believers also requires some resources.

However, the resources consumed are negligible compared to the cultivation of immortality.

Among all the paths that have evolved in the primordial world, only Buddhism and Taoism can be compared with it.

It's not that it can't be checked and balanced!
At the very least, the demonic path is ubiquitous; no matter which cultivation system a world is suited to, there are beings who cultivate the demonic path.

The way of God lies in sincerity. Those who are sincere will also want to go astray. Under the desires of all living beings, the soil for the demonic path is naturally conceived.

In order to curb the development of the divine path and hinder the return of Taiyi, Yuanshi Tianzun also transmitted the demonic methods in some worlds through his incarnations.

Thanks to this, the renown of the Primordial Demon King spread throughout countless worlds.

Compared to Yuanshi Tianzun's dilemma, Taiqing Laozi seemed indifferent.

The Immortal Path has the Moral Celestial Venerable, the Ancient Divine Path has the Divine Treasure Lord, the Demonic Path has the Supreme Demon Ancestor, and the Taiyi Divine Path can have one more disguise!

Nuwa's suggestion was exactly what he wanted. If he could become the head of a branch of the divine path, he would naturally be able to share in the fortune that belonged to the divine path!

Therefore, as soon as Nuwa spoke, he chimed in, "That is indeed a good suggestion. My two junior brothers and I are the ancestors of the celestial immortals. If we were to open another branch within the divine path, we could also become the ancestors of all gods!"

The ancestor of all gods?

Upon hearing this, Yuanshi Tianzun's heart stirred. He could not banish Taiyi from the origin of the divine path, but he could try to minimize Taiyi's influence!

He instantly understood what Taiqing Laozi meant.

If one wants to establish a branch within the Shinto path, then naturally the bigger the name, the better!

What ancestor of gods and men, ancestor of earth gods, ancestor of heaven gods, ancestor of witch gods, ancestor of demon gods... none of them are as resounding as the ancestor of all gods!
The Chan Sect's sacred site, Kunlun Mountain, is known as the land of all gods. It was once the sacred site of Emperor Cangli, so he could naturally gather the fortune of all gods there!

"The ancestor of all gods?"

Upon hearing this, the Tongtian Sect Leader couldn't help but sneer, "Even the Three Ancient Sovereigns wouldn't dare to call themselves that. Fellow Daoist Taiqing is probably being a bit presumptuous!"

Even the Three Sovereigns of antiquity only dared to call themselves God-Emperors, not Ancestors of All Gods, undoubtedly out of reverence for the entire divine system. In his view, across the endless time and space of the past, present, and future, only Donghuang Taiyi, who embodied the origin of the divine path, and Pangu, who embodied the Primordial True Realm and served as the source of all paths, were qualified to call themselves Ancestors of All Gods!

Upon hearing this, Yuanshi Tianzun retorted, "Pangu is the source of all paths. My elder brother and I are the true descendants of Pangu, recognized by Pangu, and are also Heavenly Saints in charge of educating all living beings. What title cannot we bear?"

Seeing this, Xuan Yin recklessly asked, "What about the name of the Dao Ancestor? I wonder if Second Uncle-Master dares to proclaim to all living beings of the primordial world that he is the Dao Ancestor of the Xuanmen?"

Yuanshi Tianzun paused for a moment.

Taiyi transformed into the Dao, and Pangu also transformed into the Dao. It was just a title, which he could naturally try to scheme for, but he could not bear the title of Dao Ancestor!
Because, although the Dao Ancestor was in harmony with the Heavenly Dao, he could still manifest at any time!
If he dared to call himself the Dao Ancestor, he would likely become the target of public criticism. Tongtian, Nuwa, even the Daoist Jieyin and Daoist Zhunti, as well as those top-tier powerful beings, would all accuse him of disrespecting the Dao Ancestor.

"Sharp teeth and sharp mouths!"

Yuanshi Tianzun did not respond directly, but as a sage of the Heavenly Dao, it was impossible for him to retract his previous boast.

Therefore, he merely warned Xuan Yin with his eyes and the imposing presence of a sage.

The Tongtian Sect Leader watched this scene with great interest and said to Xuan Yin, "Why don't you go to Zixiao Palace and file another complaint against Yuanshi?"

Fuxi then intervened, saying, "Being the ancestor of all gods is indeed a bit much, but with the status of Fellow Daoist Taiqing and Fellow Daoist Yuanshi, being the ancestor of celestial gods or immortal gods is more than enough!"

Taiqing Laozi and Yuanshi Tianzun are both among the most ancient origins, born before heaven and earth. There are very few beings in the primordial world older than them, and few beings would oppose their commands to the innate deities.

In the path of immortality, since there is the path of gods and immortals, there can naturally also be the path of immortals and gods. It's just a matter of which path is the main one!
If the focus is on immortals, then it is naturally immortals; if the focus is on gods, then it is naturally immortals and gods!

This is essentially a matter of distributing benefits.

When Daozu gave his three lectures at Zixiao Palace, he established the major branches of the immortal path, and the leader of each branch would receive the blessing of immortal destiny.

Shintoism can certainly be copied!

Just then, Yaochi also spoke up: "In the past, in the Zixiao Palace, under the guidance of the Dao Ancestor, five paths to immortality were established, namely Heaven, Earth, Man, God, and Ghost, known as the Five Immortals of the Heavenly Cycle. Based on their cultivation levels, nine Immortal Ancestors were established: Upper Immortal, High Immortal, Supreme Immortal, Heavenly Immortal, True Immortal, Mysterious Immortal, Ancestral Immortal, Spiritual Immortal, and Supreme Immortal. These nine Immortal Ancestors are also known by later generations as the Nine Immortals of Primordial Chaos. I wonder how Fellow Daoist Fuxi plans to establish the branches of the divine path?"

The Purple Cloud Palace is where the past, present, and future converge. It is one of the sacred sites of the Dao Source in the Primordial True Realm. All the Great Luo Immortals of the past, present, and future can express their opinions and fight for their own interests in the Purple Cloud Conference.

Originally, the Dao Ancestor only intended to establish the Five Immortals of the Heavenly Cycle, but the three thousand Great Luo Immortals of Zixiao Palace had evolved into various immortal systems, numbering at least eighty or one hundred, with five branches, which clearly did not meet the needs of the many Great Luo Immortals.

Thus, the Nine Immortals of Hunyuan came into being.

The Path of the Celestial Immortals is the most complete and universally applicable because of the Three Pure Ones, and it is also included in both the Five Celestial Immortals and the Nine Primordial Immortals!
Now that the Divine Path is establishing a branch, Yaochi naturally wants a share of the profits!
In fact, the reason she was willing to attend the conference and represent the Heavenly Court and the Human God Dynasty to stop the war was because Nuwa promised her some benefits.

She is a Quasi-Saint of the Second Corpse, but in the Heavenly Court, both the Immortal Lord and the Pan King are Quasi-Saints of the Second Corpse. If she wants to make the Heavenly Court an impenetrable fortress before Haotian returns from his tribulation, she must make a breakthrough in her own cultivation.

Haotian had previously made a grand vow, which had actually exhausted the Heavenly Court's fortune. In the short term, she would not be able to break through with the help of the Heavenly Court's fortune.

Therefore, becoming the head of a Shinto lineage became her best choice.

"Naturally, it is also the number nine and five!"

Upon hearing Yaochi's words, "Fuxi" immediately said, "After Taiyi transformed into the Dao, he scattered the nine Taiyi treasures, which were imbued with the divine destiny, throughout the heavens in order to promote the great prosperity of the divine path. Each Taiyi treasure represents a divine ancestor position comparable to the Nine Immortals of Hunyuan!"

"If any of you can find one of these, you will naturally have the opportunity to open up a branch of the divine path!"

As she spoke, she took out the Taiyi Emperor Crown and proclaimed to everyone: "In the name of Fuxi, the Way of Man and God is established here. From this day forward, Fuxi will be the ancestor of Man and God. All those who cultivate the Way of Man and God can use Fuxi's karma to cultivate the true body of Fuxi and attain the Dao fruit of Fuxi!"

As soon as he finished speaking, some of the human cultivators participating in the Divine Music Assembly began to revert to their ancestral bloodline under the radiant light of the Taiyi Emperor's Crown, exhibiting some characteristics of the true form of Fuxi, such as innate dragon scales, the third divine eye, Fuxi divine bones, and Fuxi divine heart, transforming into a human-god body.

The position of the ancestor of gods and men also flew out from the Gate of Myriad Wonders transformed by the Great One, transforming into a dazzling golden light that merged into the Dao Fruit of Fuxi.

Upon seeing this, Styx immediately spoke up: "The Nine Primordial Gods correspond to the Nine Primordial Immortals, which are nine innate spiritual treasures left behind by Taiyi! Then, Fellow Daoist Fuxi, could you tell me how to prove the Five Gods of the Heavenly Cycle?"

Back when the Zixiao Palace established the Five Immortals of Zhou Tian and the Nine Immortals of Hunyuan, he wasn't included. Now, naturally, he has to fight for his own interests!
