The normal Buddhist method of severing the three bodies involves the deity achieving enlightenment and becoming a Golden Immortal, then through reincarnation condensing relics capable of containing the three bodies, and finally using these relics to sever the so-called three bodies of the Buddha.

However, Xuan Yin was neither a Great Enlightened Golden Immortal of Buddhism nor a Great Luo Golden Immortal of Taoism, but rather a divine fruit attained through the emptiness of Buzhou Mountain.

In fact, if Xuan Yin hadn't lacked a bit of public-spiritedness, he might have been able to directly cultivate to the highest level of the Divine Path by leveraging this expansion of power.

Unfortunately……

In addition to holding the power over heaven and earth, the Shinto also requires practitioners to have a sense of public-spiritedness.

Given Xuan Yin's impartiality, barring any unforeseen circumstances, the Heavenly Yi realm of the Divine Path will be the limit he can reach, unless he suddenly has an epiphany!

Breaking through a certain level is easy, but achieving true enlightenment and abandoning selfishness is extremely difficult.

However, there are shortcuts available.

There are still many similarities between the Taoism of Gods and the Taoism of Buddhism, especially the Taoism of Gods, which, like the Taoism of Buddhism, requires a large amount of incense offerings for support.

Xuan Yin himself lacked public-spiritedness, but the sacrificial avatars he created certainly did.

If Xuan Yin is willing, he can gain the approval of the Great Dao of Heaven and Earth by severing his physical body and some of his selfish desires.

As a second-generation Rahu, Xuan Yin possesses both demonic and Buddhist natures, which are in no way weaker than his demonic nature.

But now, Xuan Yin has bestowed most of his Buddhist nature upon his Sambhogakaya, and he plans to have the Sambhogakaya take the place of Ksitigarbha to make a great vow.

Then, through the Sambhogakaya, one can feed back to the original deity, thereby attaining the enlightenment of a Buddha or Taoist immortal.

For this reason, he also consulted Tongtian Jiaozhu and discussed it with Duobao Daoren, the Buddha destined by the great trend of Heaven.

Never leave its origins.

Xuan Yin's idea was not wrong, it was just that the order was reversed, that is, to use the cultivation of the manifestation body to enhance the cultivation of the main body.

It's the same principle as reversing cause and effect.

Normally, one must first attain the status of a Great Awakening Golden Immortal before being qualified to sever one's physical body. However, Xuan Yin himself is a Heavenly Noble of the Divine Path, with a rank equivalent to a Great Awakening Golden Immortal. Furthermore, the Purple-Gold Red Gourd he uses to house his physical body is a rare and top-grade innate spiritual treasure in the Primordial True Realm, with a rank no less than that of a Quasi-Saint.

Conversely, one could first use the divine path fruit to sever the avatar, then let the avatar achieve the Great Awakening Golden Immortal state, and use the avatar to provide feedback to the original body.

As long as the cause and effect can be closed loop, that's fine!

Xuan Yin glanced at the incarnation with satisfaction and smiled, "From now on, you are Xuanzang of Buddhism! In order to restore the great power of Heaven, the great vow that Fellow Daoist Ksitigarbha was unwilling to make, let Xuanzang make it!"

"Amitabha!"

Upon hearing Xuan Yin's words, Xuan Zang did not hesitate. He bowed slightly to the Earthly Master and then disappeared from everyone's sight.

He went straight to the underworld.

"Heaven and Earth above, your disciple Xuanzang sees the suffering of all beings, who, even after death, are entangled in the karmic forces of cause and effect. The evil spirits in the underworld are endless, and countless beings die unjustly, their resentment hard to dispel and their karma difficult to sever. I hereby make a vow to deliver all the wronged souls and evil spirits of the ten directions and all worlds!"

"I will not become a Buddha until hell is empty; I will not attain enlightenment until all sentient beings are liberated!"

"Please let the underground tunnels be the judge!"

In the original grand scheme of Heaven, Earth did not revive, and Houtu did not become a saint. Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva made a great vow to Heaven.

Now that the Earthly Dao has been revived, Houtu has become a saint, and the person who made the great vow has become Xuanzang, it is naturally impossible to ask the Primordial Heavenly Dao to witness it again.

"allow!"

From the depths of the netherworld came the voice of Houtu, and the power of the underworld transformed into a stream of light, landing precisely on Xuanzang.

This is Houtu, representing the earth, who permitted Xuanzang's act of converting wronged souls and vengeful ghosts!

Boom!

Heaven also bestows merits.

Although Xuanzang made his grand vow to the Earthly Dao, this act was beneficial to Heaven and Earth, and the Primordial Heavenly Dao would naturally bestow merit upon him.

In an instant, countless golden rays of merit nourished Xuanzang's Buddha-nature, and a dazzling golden halo appeared directly behind his head.

This is Buddha-nature, merit, and also contains the meaning of supreme enlightenment!
Xuanzang's Buddhist and Taoist cultivation also rose steadily, and in the blink of an eye, he went from a novice in Buddhism and Taoism to a Great Enlightened Golden Immortal in Buddhism.

To attain enlightenment on the spot—that's all there is to it!
"Amitabha!"

Without hesitation, Xuanzang chanted a Buddhist mantra and sat down on the ground on Mount Baizhong. He began reciting the "Compassionate Xuanzang Repentance Method" to deliver the souls of the deceased. This method was created by Xuan Yin by combining the "Compassionate Ksitigarbha Repentance Method" of Ksitigarbha with the "Lingbao Boundless Salvation Supreme Sutra" of Tongtian Jiaozhu.

Its greatest function is to convert wronged souls, dispel resentment, and enable them to be exonerated and ascend to heaven.

As Xuanzang began to perform the ritual to guide the departed souls to the afterlife, ten thousand golden lotuses suddenly appeared in the void around him, with wisps of Buddhist aura flowing around them.

Countless wronged souls and vengeful ghosts were saved by him, transformed into streaks of spiritual light, entered the six realms of reincarnation, and were reborn in the western part of the primordial true world.

But Xuanzang always felt that something was missing?
Suddenly, he looked at Kinnara on Mount Bazhong with a strange expression, and suddenly realized something. He immediately put a kasaya on himself.

"These should be to your liking now!"

On Mount Sumeru, the Daoist Jieyin and the Daoist Zhunti looked at this sudden scene with expressions of disbelief.

“Is that right?”

The corner of Zhunti Daoist's mouth twitched slightly: "My Buddhist disciple became the mountain god of Mount Sumeru, while he, a direct disciple of the Jie Sect, severed his physical body, donned a kasaya, and directly attained the Great Enlightenment Golden Immortal realm?"

The Guide remained silent for a long time. He felt that his worldview had been greatly shaken in a short period of time.

Although cultivators of the three major sects of Taoism generally like to create identities and disguise themselves, they don't necessarily rush to make grand vows!
Maitreya, who had just broken through to the Great Awakening Golden Immortal realm and was serving the two sages, felt as if he were hallucinating at the sight. He looked at the two sages and said, "All conditioned phenomena are like dreams, illusions, bubbles, shadows, dew, and lightning; thus should they be viewed! This Primordial Realm has ultimately been turned into something I can hardly imagine! Is this still the Primordial Realm I remember?"

After a long silence, the Guide sighed helplessly, "So be it! Since Ksitigarbha is unwilling to be bound to the Netherworld by the Great Vow, then having Xuanzang make the Great Vow is not an unacceptable thing!"

"As long as the result is good, that's fine!"

The Guide Daoist knew that if Ksitigarbha had not agreed, Xuan Yin's incarnation would never have had the opportunity to make a great vow on behalf of Ksitigarbha.

Now, although it is Xuanzang who has made great vows to save wronged souls and evil spirits, as long as it does not affect the great prosperity of Western religion, it is acceptable.

After thinking for a moment, the Guide immediately instructed Maitreya, "Since a disciple of the Tongtian Sect has become interested in the supreme enlightenment of our Buddhist sect, and has even severed his physical body to attain the Great Enlightenment Golden Immortal realm, there should rightfully be a place for the Bodhisattva Xuanzang in the Solitary Garden. You must quickly take my decree and go to Mount Bazhong to elevate that young friend to a high position and attain the true fruition of our Buddhist sect, and invite him to the Solitary Garden to listen to my teachings!"

"Yes!"

Maitreya hurriedly accepted the order, transformed into a streak of light, and fled towards the location of Mount Baizhong.

On the other side, Ksitigarbha, Huanglong Zhenren, the Ten Great Spirit Witches, and the Twelve Sons of Yeming were all assigned to their respective positions according to Xuan Yin's appointment.

Ksitigarbha returned to Mount Sumeru, Huanglong returned to Mount Kunlun, and the other twenty-two auxiliary gods also went to the immortal mountains corresponding to the ten Heavenly Stems and twelve Earthly Branches.

Only Kong Xuan and the Golden-Winged Roc remained at Buzhou Mountain, protecting Xuan Yin's true form.

The realization of the Great Enlightened Golden Immortal through the manifested body reflects many insights onto the original body, continuously elevating Xuan Yin's Buddhist and Taoist realm.

[Shariputra, form is not different from emptiness, emptiness is not different from form; form is emptiness, emptiness is form. The same applies to feeling, perception, volition, and consciousness!]

[Shariputra, all dharmas are empty in nature; they are neither produced nor destroyed, neither defiled nor pure, neither increasing nor decreasing. Therefore, in emptiness there is no form, no sensation, no perception, no volition, no consciousness; no eye, ear, nose, tongue, body, mind; no form, sound, smell, taste, touch, dharma; no eye-consciousness, and so forth, up to no mind-consciousness; no ignorance, nor the cessation of ignorance, and so forth, up to no old age and death, nor the cessation of old age and death; no suffering, no origination, no cessation, no path; no wisdom, nor attainment. Because there is nothing to be attained, Bodhisattvas, relying on Prajnaparamita, have no hindrance in their minds. Because there is no hindrance, they have no fear. They are far removed from distorted views and dreams, and ultimately attain Nirvana. All Buddhas of the three times, relying on Prajnaparamita, attain Anuttara-samyak-sambodhi.]

The endless mysteries of Buddhism were constantly imprinted in Xuan Yin's mind. After an unknown period of time, Qi Qingyun lifted up a Great Awakening Golden Immortal Dao Fruit.

"The three realms are all mind, all phenomena are consciousness; do not seek anything externally!"

"No wonder, even a Great Awakening Golden Immortal relies on enlightenment!"

Xuan Yin seemed to have an epiphany. The Xuanmen's cultivation method emphasizes the unity of heaven and man and merging with the Dao, while the methods of Buddhism and Taoism are about constantly improving one's understanding.

Only by understanding oneself and understanding the world can one cultivate the four wisdoms and eight consciousnesses, and attain the Buddhist and Taoist methods of divine vision and supernatural powers.

Buddhist practices have much lower requirements for aptitude than those of esoteric Buddhism, but they place extremely high demands on the practitioner's comprehension.

If one cannot comprehend it on one's own, one can only rely on great Buddhist masters to expound the scriptures and transmit the Dharma!

This is why Buddhist practitioners often discuss the Dharma and listen to the Buddha or a Bodhisattva preach.

"but……"

"If one doesn't grasp it on their own, they'll ultimately fall into a lower level and become trapped in constraints!"

Xuan Yin's comprehension is beyond question. Ever since his Seven Apertures Exquisite Heart underwent its transformation, he felt that his comprehension was no less than that of a primordial deity!

In Buddhism, some things, once understood, lead to the spontaneous generation of supernatural powers.

In a short time, Xuan Yin mastered various supernatural abilities such as the Heavenly Eye and the Divine Foot.

But right now, he doesn't have time to try!

because……

The heavenly tribulation is coming!

Of all the cultivation systems, apart from the divine authority which is directly bestowed by the Heavenly Dao, all others are acts of seizing the creation of Heaven and Earth.

Therefore, whether it is the path of immortals, the path of Buddhas, or the path of demons, all need to undergo tribulations.

However, you only need to cross it once!
The Heavenly Way can encompass all paths; those who have attained the second, third, or fourth level of enlightenment do not need to undergo further tribulations.

Boom!

Endless thunder roared and lightning snakes hissed, illuminating the ten directions of the sky. Destructive power spread, but none of it could harm Xuan Yin in the slightest.

Luo Tianqingyun is now one with Xuan Yin, and its terrifying defensive power is difficult for even a saint with a supreme treasure to break.

Not to mention a Great Luo Tribulation!

All seventy-two lightning tribulations were devoured and absorbed by Luo Tianqingyun, transforming into the origin of the heavenly tribulations, awaiting Xuan Yin's manipulation of the Heavenly Dao of the Spirit Realm to refine them.

However, there is still a big difference between a Great Awakening Golden Immortal and a Great Luo Golden Immortal.

The profound mysteries of transcending the tribulation were fully reflected in Xuan Yin's physical body, which was constantly filled with endless immortal Buddhist essence.

In addition, his keen intellect and comprehension underwent another transformation.

What is Great Enlightenment?

"Great" means vast, "awakening" means enlightenment, and also refers to supreme enlightenment. "Manas" in the Four Wisdoms and Eight Consciousnesses also means thinking and deliberating.

"Is this the Buddhist and Taoist system?"

Xuan Yin seemed to have some understanding. The breakthrough of the Immortal Dao system to the Great Luo realm was reflected in the unity of essence, energy, and spirit. After the Dao Flower bloomed, it was a transformation in the level of life.

While the Buddhist system also involves the transformation of life levels, it is more inclined to improve the physical body and enlightenment of Buddhist practitioners.

Each has its own strengths!
