Chapter 1 Memories
"Moon Queen. Moon Queen?"

The man lying on the wooden bed stretched out his arm and reached out to the side. The touch from his arm was not of a soft waist, but of a vast emptiness with a hint of warmth.

Yang Chen withdrew his hand and rubbed his eyes, then groggily opened them. A ray of sunlight shone through the gap in the curtains onto the pillow beside him, where a few strands of white hair were still wrapped.

'The Seventh Set of Broadcast Gymnastics – The Times Are Calling'

Faint sounds of music and metal clanging could be heard from outside the window. Yang Chen sat up, cleared his head, got out of bed, and walked to the window. With a 'whoosh,' the bright sunlight completely filled the room.

"Hmm, it looks like it's going to be a nice day."

Yang Chen stretched lazily by the window, then rested his hands on the windowsill and looked down.

Four or five elderly people with gray hair were banging their heads against the iron pipe; the metallic clanging sound we heard earlier was definitely from them.

Under a large tree nearby, a short-haired woman in sportswear was leading a dance, while several elderly people were doing gymnastics behind her.

"Radio gymnastics... Yue Kui looks a bit strange doing it. Maybe I should go out and find some more energetic square dancing another day," Yang Chen muttered.

She turned and walked towards the bathroom, where she quickly washed up.

Yang Chen, after leaving the bathroom, hung up the white coat that was casually placed beside the bed and the clothes scattered on the stool and put them in the wardrobe.

At the same time, she took her clothes out of the closet.

After getting dressed, Yang Chen walked to the dressing mirror next to the wardrobe and looked at himself in the mirror.

The mirror reflected a young man's face, with handsome features, fair skin, and eyes that revealed a composure honed by time. His all-black attire further enhanced his extraordinary aura.

"How long have I been in this world? It must have been over forty years," Yang Chen muttered to himself, looking at his reflection in the mirror. "I wonder how Dad and Brother Long are doing."

"Oh, right, and Xiaoyu too. I hope she can be less mischievous."

Yang Chen carefully examined himself, looking at his appearance which hadn't changed in the last few decades. He knew clearly that this was the power given to him by the talisman.

He stretched out his right hand, and an octagonal stone appeared in Yang Chen's palm, with a lifelike yellow puppy pattern printed on it.

[Dog Charm]

'Dogs are man's best friend, and their owners may live forever.'
Looking at the talisman in his hand, Yang Chen seemed to hear his father's teachings again. He stood there, his thoughts drifting back to the past.

After sealing the Holy Lord, it was just like any other ordinary day before.

Yang Chen was standing on a ladder, cleaning the dusty books in his father's antique shop.

While cleaning, Yang Chen noticed a book that was different from the others in style—a completely black book with no text on the cover.

This made him a little curious: "When did my dad get this book in his shop? I've never seen it before?"

Just as he reached out and touched the book, everything around him suddenly changed!
The distant city was in ruins, with yellow sand sweeping in with the wind, and human bones scattered all around.

"Dad?" Yang Chen murmured blankly.

Looking at everything before him, his eyes were filled with bewilderment.

Realizing he seemed to have encountered something terrible, Yang Chen's voice finally rose: "Brother Long!!! Dad!!!"

"Xiaoyu!!!"

"Tru!!!"

"Sheriff Black!!!"

Yang Chen called out the names of almost everyone he knew, but there was no response. The only response was the creaking sound of the wind blowing the rusty road sign beside him, making it sway precariously.

'Clang'

The sound of the road sign falling and hitting the ground brought Yang Chen back to his senses.

He followed the sound and wiped the dust off the road sign that had just fallen down. The information on the sign was still barely legible: "Kuchuan City is 197 kilometers away from Qian."

"Where is Hisakawa City? What have I done to get here?"

Looking at the endless yellow sand around him, and even the huge vines he had never seen before in the distance, Yang Chen felt an even deeper despair.

Is this still Earth?

After an unknown amount of time, just as Yang Chen sat on the ground in despair, looking at everything around him that had been destroyed, he seemed to hear the sound of horses' hooves in the distance.
anyone?

The joy quickly dispelled the despair in his heart. Yang Chen quickly stood up, brushed off the sand blown onto his body, and hurriedly climbed to higher ground.

He stood on high ground, squinting as he gazed into the distance. A dark mass of crawling creatures accompanied the yellow sand kicked up by their running, and behind them followed a giant creature.

Because of its enormous size, Yang Chen could clearly see that the giant creature had long limbs, an enormous jaw that extended all the way to its belly, a face that resembled a human's, and a rock-like structure on its head that extended down its spine.

"What is that? Could it be a demon?! Have they escaped?"

The surprise had been overshadowed by the monster in the distance, leaving Yang Chen with only doubt and confusion.

Those things are so uniquely shaped that even if you compare them to Bo Gang, they are far inferior.

As the creatures drew closer, Yang Chen sensed something was terribly wrong: "Oh no, are these guys coming for me?!"

Yang Chen took off running, his speed so fast that even a falling train couldn't keep up.

"What the hell is this place?! Where are you guys, Dad?!"

As he ran, he kept looking back; the monsters were still relentlessly pursuing him, getting closer and closer to Yang Chen.

Seeing that it would take some time to catch up with Yang Chen, one of the monsters, which looked like both a dog and a snake, suddenly jumped up. The monster with multiple bull horns on its head grabbed the jumping monster and threw it forcefully towards Yang Chen.

Seeing this, Yang Chen's eyes widened: "They can even coordinate?!"

With no weapons or cover around, Yang Chen had no choice but to use his legs to leap upwards!

'boom! '

Yang Chen, who jumped ten meters high, barely dodged the attack, while the monster's body smashed a shallow crater into the hard ground below.

"Hey, missed."

Yang Chen, who was grinning and laughing just a second ago, suddenly couldn't laugh anymore. There was no foothold above him, and his body was falling rapidly downwards.

Staring at the gaping maw filled with fangs on the ground, Yang Chen closed his eyes tightly, covered his head with his hands, and thought to himself that this time he was really doomed.

Two seconds later, Yang Chen opened his eyes in confusion. He thought he was about to feed the baby precisely, but now his body was floating in mid-air.

"This"

Yang Chen looked down at the impatient monster below, and then at his own body floating in mid-air.

"This is the power of a talisman?!"

He had experienced this feeling before; it was not unfamiliar to him. And now, this power was clearly manifesting itself within him.

[Free-spirited chickens let you soar to the heavens and reach for the moon]

I never expected that the power of the talisman would actually appear on me? Is it because of that black book?

Yang Chen closed his eyes, feeling the magical power within his body; the power of the twelve talismans was slowly flowing through him.
"Now I have no choice but to say what I said."

He flew higher, looking down at the monsters that had gathered below.

"I have everything I need now!"
