Chapter 325 Hakimi's Offering
Chapter 325 Hakimi's Offering
"Ezekiel, do you think I'll make it to the other side alive?"
As the Grand Master of the Dark Angels' Treasury, Ezekiel was a firsthand witness to Azrael's struggles.
Without a doubt, Azrael is absolutely capable, after all, he is so young, not even 300 years old, yet he has already become one of the nine founding raid leaders of the Empire.
Due to the restrictions of the Astartes Codex, the population of a normal chapter is limited to 1000, so even with some tricks, it's pretty much the same.
However, Azrael started with 1 Space Marines, and the most powerful Dark Angels at that, who had the right to initiate the Final Wall Accord.
If he wanted, he could gather all the sub-legions in a very short time, allowing his soldiers to break through the Astartes Codex and repeat the glory of the legion.
With such a resume, calling him a prodigy of our time wouldn't be an exaggeration.
Yet this powerful and domineering man, upon hearing the news of the Lion King's return, began to hesitate and tremble with fear.
Ezekiel certainly knew why, after all, he had been involved in it back then, but there was nothing he could do. Who knew that the other side of that damned warp tunnel was the Caliban? I thought it was the Nurgle Plague Army, all green and looking nothing like good people.
And can we blame ourselves for this?
God knows why there are so many Chaos Demons and Lions on Caliban.
We had just emerged from the tunnel, completely clueless and in the dark, when the fleet opened fire on us. Of course, we had to fight back.
"So if we tell the truth, do you think the Lion King will believe it?"
"It's hard to tell!"
Looking at Azrael, who had a constipated expression, Ezekiel patted him on the shoulder:
"If it's hard to say, then don't say it. No normal person would believe it if they knew about this, okay?"
You mean we coincidentally traveled through time and space, coincidentally arrived in Caliban, and coincidentally encountered internal strife in Caliban?
As sons of Caliban, we hadn't even recognized Caliban before launching a massive orbital bombardment at everyone who appeared above.
Ultimately, Caliban shattered, the Legion disintegrated, causing the Fallen Angels' Rebellion, and also blasting our Primarch away for a full 1 years.
"Stop talking! We can't say everything. If word gets out, every single one of the Dark Angels will be dead!"
Grabbing Azrael by the collar, the Grand Think Tank Chief declared righteously:
"Asmodai had already told me beforehand that after sleeping for a full 1 years, the Lion King had lost all his power and even had to occupy the body of a little girl."
Perhaps that's why the Lion King suddenly became amiable. So remember, there was no military operation that didn't exist, nor was there an orbital bombing. The Dark Angels have no secrets.
"Stay alert, don't embarrass yourself! You're Azrael, who's survived countless assassinations and internal power struggles!"
As someone who works with psionic powers, he certainly has a knack for counseling others. Azrael felt much better afterward, and then he saw Ezekiel, who had just been counseling him, standing there motionless.
"No, why are you just standing there watching? Come with me."
"What am I supposed to do? I'm just an ordinary, insignificant psionicist. Even the Black Ships don't want me. You're the chapter leader."
Besides, what if they find out I have something to hide? You're afraid of not making it to the other side, but I'm afraid of it too!
Now Azrael understood. So all those nice words you said to me were just to save me from ruin.
“Ezekiel, I am the warband commander, and I now order you to come with me.”
"I'm sorry, I've been suspected of having psionic outbursts lately, and I'm afraid of offending the Primarch."
"You're talking nonsense. Last week you used a psionic storm to tear open a 16-kilometer-long death zone, like you were cheating. And you said your psionic energy was out of control? Why didn't it kill you that day?"
At this point, Azrael's eyes darted around, and he leaned close to Ezekiel's ear and whispered, "Old man, if you refuse to come with me to meet the Holy One, then I'll have to ask who those blasphemous books you're hiding in your bedroom are?"
"What? That's irrelevant. I've never read 'The Roman She-Wolf'."
"So you admit that this book is yours?"
“( ヘ) (゜.゜)”
"Young people shouldn't be too arrogant."
"What kind of young person isn't spirited?"
…………
What's meant to happen will happen. After the old man and the young man undermined each other, they finally decided to go together. However, it would be undignified for them to go alone; for such an honorable moment, all the company commanders had to be brought along. So when they met the Primarch, all the well-known company commanders from within the Dark Angels were there, crowding into Mordred's reception room.
Upon seeing this young female knight, a surge of emotion welled up within them, causing everyone to subconsciously overlook Mordred's terrible fashion sense—wearing only a vest and trench coat—and instead conjure up an image of a dashing knight king in their minds.
Although faint, the connection in the genetic seed is absolutely certain. An indescribable sense of happiness overwhelms me, just like when Hakimi saw a super concentrated catnip ball. Azmi immediately knelt down.
"Mother!"
Even though she had prepared herself mentally, Mordred still felt a strange sense of shame when dozens of people knelt down and called her "Mom."
"You are Azrael, the current Chapter Master of the Dark Angels?"
"Yes, Your Highness."
Raising his head, Azrael watched as the young female knight descended from the throne and stood before him. He couldn't help but twitch, and then his eyes met her amber pupils.
Azrael was certain he had never seen such pure eyes, with a pristine beauty untouched by any impurities, like a mirror from which no secret could be hidden.
"Your Highness, I...I repent..."
Azrael was stunned before he could finish speaking. A pair of thin hands pressed down on his head, calming his restless heart.
That smile was deeply etched into Azrael's mind. He finally understood why the rampant Smurfs were so excited. Only with a Primarch could an army be considered complete.
"Good boy, good boy? What did he just say? Could he be an idiot?!"
Mordred regretted it a little, thinking that she should not have turned the charm aura up so high. Looking at the little can's dazed look, it was clear that he was not very bright.
Thinking of this, Mordred activated her fel energy and unleashed a fel lightning bolt, which had an unexpectedly good effect. Azrael instantly regained his self-awareness and received the same skin as the Salamander.
Then Azrael panicked; he had almost blurted out his true thoughts, and instinctively stood up.
"The First Legion has no secrets!"
"..."
Upon hearing this, all the kneeling dark angels felt a chill, fearing that Azrael would expose them; some even secretly placed their hands on their sword hilts.
Fortunately, Master Mo was experienced and, seeing that Hakimi was starting to react, he slapped Azrael on the head:
"Why are you yelling so loudly? It's a good thing I have a good temper now, otherwise, if you dared to yell at me, I would have smashed your head in."
But it's also my fault; I didn't teach you properly.
However, let me make this clear from the start: I don't care what you did before, but now that I'm back, you need to act like the First Legion.
"What trouble could you possibly cause? You can't possibly have done nothing for the past ten thousand years but fight amongst yourselves, issue extermination orders to kill each other, and then blow up someone else's mother, right? That's impossible, isn't it?"
"Hahaha, Father, you're right. We Dark Angels are the big brother of all the legions. If it weren't for us, this empire would have perished long ago."
Grabbing Mordred's hand tightly, Azrael, covered in sweat, said:
"Father, today is a joyous day. Please allow me to present you with a gift. You ask me why I'm sweating so much? That's because I'm so excited!"
"Quickly bring up the gift I prepared for my father! This is a replica of an ancient Terra lion that we recreated through genetic modification therapy; you'll surely be satisfied."
Soon, a tall, wild beast with striking markings was brought over. Its untamed eyes, imposing physique, and especially its beautiful orange and white fur all proclaimed its status as the king of beasts.
To please the Lion King, the Dark Angel dressed the king of beasts in a green cloak and even made him a mini crown.
Sure enough, when these gifts were presented, everyone saw shock in the Lion King's eyes.
How could Mordred not be shocked? Because this wasn't a lion at all, but a giant orange cat enlarged to scale. He had never seen anything so fat before.
"What wonderful gifts! You all delight me! I've decided, I'm going to name it Ruth! Bring out whatever other gifts you have, I can't wait!"
Just as Mordred was gradually infiltrating the Dark Angels and entering the Stone Fortress to enjoy a peaceful life amidst the cheers of all the Hakimi,
A vibrant green meteor that had been twinkling in the Milky Way for millennia has finally ceased its wandering.
Driven by instinct, they eventually crashed into a world called Kamas.
