Chapter 303 Father, look how alike we are!
An old house where a treasure.
As far as the Primarchs are concerned, everyone except Alpha and Ruth has a bad impression of Macado.
This impression stems from two aspects: firstly, because Macardo is wary of the Primarch and doesn't even pretend to be one.
This inexplicable malice makes for a bad first impression, and another reason is that the emperor is inhuman.
Although the 30-year gold ring's charm belongs exclusively to Horus, other Primarchs are just as easily seduced by the yellow skin.
After discovering that the Emperor did not match his imagined perfect image, Macardo became the scapegoat.
My father loves me, and I love my father. It must be that treacherous minister, Makado, who caused my father to become like this.
In addition, Primarchs are all problem children. Macardo never tolerates such destructive brats and will immediately use a psionic neck lock. Even Horus has been beaten up.
So why wasn't Macardo, a mere "mortal," killed by the Primarch?
The answer is no, they can't beat him. Don't be fooled by how skinny and old he looks; that's all an act. He's a psychic even more powerful than Magnus, and he's also an immortal.
In the ancient Terran era, he would at least be a god-king in a myth. If it weren't for the emperor's cheat codes, he would be a complete overpowered protagonist.
The more they hated him before, the more they like him now. The Emperor's departure has indeed helped the Primarch grow a lot. Looking back, Macador is really too important to the Empire.
Seeing all the Primarchs staring at him with a strange, indescribable longing in their eyes, Makado sighed helplessly:
"Do you all think I have some kind of secret? And the kind that, if revealed, could change the state of the empire?"
"Really? Makado, no! Uncle Ma, I knew you were hiding a lot of things. Quickly bring out your little treasure chest."
Guilliman was so fed up with the messed-up state of the Empire that he grabbed Makado's leg and stared longingly at this nuclear-powered ox-horse of the Empire, and a ancestral one at that.
Not only Guilliman, but everyone thought so. After all, the Primarchs weren't stupid. After searching through the Internal Affairs archives, they were convinced that the Empire could never be as poor as it is now, and that something must be hidden.
Although he was reluctant to admit it, the Emperor and Macado were so close they were practically inseparable, so he must know.
Makado didn't keep them in suspense, revealing a smug emoticon on the Dreadnought's LCD screen.
"Yes, yes, come with me."
When Waldo saw the Dauntless being escorted to him by Primarchs, he immediately recognized it as his old friend and joined the group.
Following in Makado's footsteps, the group arrived at the secret nest located beneath the palace. The entire space was situated in a dimensional rift, and its size far exceeded that of an ordinary underground city.
Due to the war in the network, this dimensional rift was also affected, with all sorts of spatial anomalies occurring one after another, which is one of the reasons why the Emperor sat on the Golden Throne.
To avoid disturbing the secret realm, Macado did not use psionic teleportation. Instead, he boarded a Stormraven and flew deeper into the realm with the Primarch and the Grand Marshal of the Imperial Guard.
Through the porthole, the crowd could see the Imperial Guards leading Lucifer's Black Guards and the Silent Sisters clearing the spatial anomalies, including some silver-gray warriors dressed as Terminators.
Perhaps sensing the Primarchs' confusion, Waldor explained:
"The aftershocks of the Cyber War are still lingering. If these spatial anomalies are not eliminated, they could very well attract a Chaos invasion. If left unchecked, and Holy Terra is blown up into a second Eye of Terror, then things will get really messed up."
"So that's how it is. I thought you Imperial Guards were just sitting around doing nothing!"
In response to Luo Jia's sarcasm, Waldo simply replied, "If it weren't for this mess to clean up, I would have already led the Imperial Guard to crush those imperial traitors."
In contrast, you should have faith in your own legions; the Imperial Guard has never betrayed you in the face of Chaos's onslaught.
"What do you mean?" "That's exactly what I mean."
Seeing the tension escalating, Guilliman quickly tried to smooth things over:
"Alright, that's enough! What rebellion or anything like that? In my opinion, there are no treacherous officials among us, only loyal ones!"
Regardless, Guilliman was the Emperor's appointed regent, and even a top-tier assassin like Waldo had to listen to his superior. He continued to explain:
"According to the original plan, we were absolutely not going to let anyone into this space before the cleanup operation was completed."
"Because of the internet?"
“That’s right!” Waldo nodded, indicating that the Web Path had been completely shattered, and that the Emperor had sealed the Web Path gates for some unknown reason.
Only in this way could His Majesty have a chance to set off, but Magnus, who was the backup candidate to guard the Net Path, was kidnapped by the Chaos God.
"So before I stepped onto the Golden Throne, His Majesty gave me a task: to restart the Internet Project at the right time. But now the Internet Gate has opened by itself."
"opened?"
"Yes! And it's not just open, it's open from the inside out, and... I don't know how to describe it, you'll understand when you see it."
Upon arriving at their destination, everyone finally understood why Waldo had said that, and turned to look at Macado standing to the side.
"Don't look at me, I don't know how they appeared in the Net Path either. I saw them when I sat on the Golden Throne. I'd like to ask, whose people are they?"
Not only did Macardo and Waldo have doubts, but the Primarchs also felt uneasy.
Before them, a group of Space Marines wearing raven-style power armor, but painted in rainbow colors, were crouching on the ground, with several lizard-like humanoid creatures beside them, the largest of which was at least 7 meters tall.
But none of that matters. What matters is that these Space Marines and the Lizardmen are carrying huge packages on their backs and are emptying them under the orders of the Imperial Guard.
Upon closer inspection, wow, this package contained everything imaginable: gold coins, cigars, strangely shaped beverage bottles, a Royal Guard's power halberd, a motor enthusiast half-dead, a demon's corpse, a small blanket, a bizarre little man in a green robe, a hammer, and even a Steel Warrior's Dauntless.
The previous stuff is one thing, but how did they pull out a Dreadnought from such a small package? It just doesn't make sense! And that hammer—no, wait! That hammer!
Realizing what had happened, Vulcan instinctively reached behind him and, sure enough, his Dawnbringer was gone. Then he saw the thief who had stolen his hammer suddenly grab his leg.
"Father, you've finally come to find me! It's me, Tom!"
Even a kind-hearted man like Vulcan was amused by this. He had a strange sense of déjà vu, as if someone had said something similar before, picking up the small can that was only a little over two meters long and asking:
"you sure?"
"Of course, look how alike we are! We're practically cut from the same mold, so you must be my father."
I still remember the time my father and I burned the spirit children together; I handed you the fire.
"Shut up! How do you know? It's just an alien. I didn't do anything wrong."
No, no, that's not important. Haven't you noticed that our skin tones are completely opposite? Open your eyes before you speak.
"Damn it, we were found out!"
Although Tom's voice was very soft, there were Primarchs and Imperial Guards present, and even Makado was a psionic fanatic, so how could he not hear him?
And is it even necessary to recognize this? Anyone with eyes can see it! Salamanders aren't white; they're all as black as charcoal.
However, Tom did not give up. After being put down by Vulcan, he rushed to Dorn, who was facing the small blanket and questioning his existence.
"Father, look how alike we are!"
