Warhammer: Filial Piety Makes Power
Chapter 228 Why are your ears pointy?
Chapter 228 Why are your ears pointy?
In near-Earth orbit, the two legions were neatly lined up on either side of the starport, while inside the Abomination, two big guys sat next to Mordred.
"How can they be so similar?"
"You two are so alike, you're practically identical. But Corax, your hair is a bit oily. Remember to wash it with my 13-in-1 shampoo when you get back."
That's right, the good brother Mordred found for Corax was Koz.
Of all the Primarchs, only Coz was found by Mordred shortly after birth and raised by her from childhood. Although he was called her younger brother, Mordred treated him like her own son.
Not to mention, Mrs. Euton, a parenting expert, dedicated herself to giving Bat Boy, who was originally unloved, a relatively happy childhood.
Upon learning that he had a younger brother, Kurtz immediately agreed to take on the mentorship role.
"Don't worry, Nineteenth Brother, from now on, follow Eighth Brother and I'll make sure you live a life of luxury. You said you like soaking in hot springs, what a coincidence, Eighth Brother likes them too."
Kolac had heard Koz's story before, and from the Legion elders, he learned that before his brother returned to the Legion, the Night Lords were a bunch of criminals, thugs, and villains.
After returning, the Midnight Lord gradually reformed. Although he still enjoyed skinning people for fun, he had clearly improved a lot.
Most importantly, although bloodthirsty, the Night Lords value fairness and justice. If you are innocent and not some kind of alien, then there is no harm done.
This gave Corax a pretty good first impression of Koz, especially since he was just as handsome as himself, making them a perfect match.
Watching his two younger brothers chatting happily and exploring the laws and regulations in depth, Mordred couldn't help but sigh. A bad childhood really does require a lifetime to heal, and Mrs. Euton's value is still rising.
Seeing that everything was going in a good direction, Mordred felt it was time for him to leave; he hadn't been home in a long time.
However, before leaving, Mordred called the two brothers, who had already discussed where to spend the night, over and gave them some instructions:
"Korax, don't rush the Great Expedition. First, take care of your home base. Otherwise, you'll be in trouble when things get out of hand."
You might not like that Far, he is indeed a bit slick, but after all, he has been the acting legion commander for more than a century, so he is quite capable.
Pay special attention to the factional balance within the legion. If you don't understand anything, ask Koz; after all, he studied in Macragge, and Guilliman is a golden brand.
The Raven King nodded. Even he, who had only recently returned to the Empire, could tell that Guilliman was an ambitious man, and he had also heard that Guilliman was particularly fond of being late.
It's no wonder everyone thinks that way; after all, Guilliman has a big butt and is good at having children. Other legions only have so many people, but Guilliman has so many offspring and still calls himself the Principality of Altramar.
Thinking about it, it makes sense. The existence of a country within a country like the Altera 500 world would raise suspicions in any era.
If it were Li Er (Emperor Taizong of Tang) with such a wonderful start, let alone the Xuanwu Gate Incident, he would have staged a coup the very next day, proclaiming "I, I, I! Even dogs bark at me, I am the true Son of Heaven!"
Even the old man Makado joked that if the Ultramarines betrayed the Empire, then the Empire would be truly finished, and in a few years, an endless stream of Smurfs would drown everyone.
As for the passive ability to always be late, that's a complete rumor, and even Mordred doesn't believe it.
Take the last Beast War as an example. Did Guilliman deliberately arrive late? Of course not. They faced the main force of the Orcs and wiped out 8 Ultramarines.
Joking aside, they still distinguished between important and trivial matters. After understanding the whole story, even Magnus forgave Guilliman and they even got together to play games.
Seeing that Corax had taken it to heart, Mordred turned to Coz and, to the bat boy's bewildered look, gave him a sharp flick on the forehead:
"Second brother, what are you doing?"
"What? I'd like to ask you that! I told you to be careful with the legion's vetting process, and now look what's happened. Your subordinates are lying to their superiors and subordinates. If I hadn't discovered it early, they might have stuffed a bunch of hooligans and criminals into the Midnight Lords."
A stack of intelligence reports was slammed onto the table, clearly recording the various actions of the 45th Claw Lord of the Midnight Lord, Skarleywalker. This guy even called himself the Tattooed Earl because of the tattoos on his face.
Koz remained silent, but his face darkened. It was better to discover it early than to be exposed later. He believed that it wouldn't be long before the tattooed count's face would be peeled off and used as an ornament.
Having said what needed to be said, Mordred made a clean getaway. However, before leaving, he made a data prototype of the abstract inventions in his lab and handed it over to Corax and Koz.
Although Mordred claimed not to believe in prophecies, Horus's prophecy still took Mordred to heart, just in case.
Perhaps the appearance of Corax triggered some kind of chain reaction, as Horus, on the other side of the galaxy, also discovered a new Primarch.
To be precise, Horus didn't discover this Primarch; rather, he captured it. Since repairing the Eye of Horus, Horus, now a Warmaster, had gained greater power and directly led 15 main fleets into the Ghoul Sector, intending to launch a pincer attack.
But as the fighting went on, Horus realized something was wrong. The Ghoul Sector was indeed living up to its reputation, with all sorts of monsters and demons lurking around. A bunch of black-bean-skinned pirates were following him around, sneaking in and taking advantage of the chaos.
Damn it, I, Horus, a dignified war general of the empire, have been taken advantage of by others. I just conquered this world, and the war isn't even over yet, and you're already looting it. You're simply not taking us seriously.
Since Atlas started its scrap recycling business, the space junk that was originally turned into scrap metal has become a treasure. Dragging it back and selling it as scrap metal can earn a lot of ammunition. That's all money!
War is all about economics. The Shadow Moon Wolf, whose tastes had been spoiled and who had gradually begun to head down the evil path of heavy firepower bombardment, was instantly enraged.
"You dare steal my spoils? You're so arrogant, you're asking for death!"
Each Primarch inherited some of the Emperor's traits, and Horus clearly inherited his ambition and conquest.
Without any hesitation, Horus, in a fit of rage, personally led Gastrin to join the attack, beating the group of black bean sprouts until they questioned their existence.
Perhaps the Emperor was right; anyone who has too much contact with Mordred will become an idiot. If we're really talking about time, Horus might be the one who has had the most contact with Mordred, after all, he has a 13-year round-the-world trip to prove it.
Because the Human Federation during the Dark Ages of Technology was so insane that it didn't even regard its own people as human beings, it even used the death echoes of infants' wails as a blasphemous creation for energy.
Not to mention the alien races, who were treated as livestock to be slaughtered at will, to the point that now that they are an alien race, they harbor a deep-seated hatred for humans.
Demons feel no pain, aliens cannot be tamed, and each legion has its own little secrets.
Atlas has grown into a global behemoth by only being able to use a portion of the network's branches, making other forces extremely envious, including Horus, who has just been promoted to Warmaster and is eager to prove himself.
Without any hesitation, upon discovering that the enemy was actually Black Sprout, who could use the Net Path, Shadowmoon Wolf chased after them like a mad dog.
Even hiding in the net tunnels, they were not afraid. A total of 15 main fleets plunged into the net tunnels and managed to catch up with them all the way to Comoros!
As everyone knows, Comoros is a sacred place in the galaxy, a place that can stop children from crying at night, but the problem is that the Imperials don't know that.
Upon seeing this ancient network nexus that defies description, Horus's first reaction was not to retreat, but to exclaim, "So beautiful, Comoros!"
Races across much of the galaxy know that a group of insane, terrifying upright apes called the Empire are launching a great expedition.
Seeing that things were not going well, Black Sprout tried to negotiate, saying that they were just a conspiracy group and that the other party should leave quickly if they knew what was good for them, otherwise they would call for help and it would not look good for anyone.
"Pah! The Boxer Rebellion? You fucking dare not call yourself one!"
Everything I see is imperial territory. I am the Imperial War General, my power is limitless, the ancestral laws are immutable, and the Comoros is a sacred and inseparable part of the Empire.
Now I ask you, why are you staying in my house? Ah! Answer me!
Clearly, Horus had mastered Mordred's shamelessness and even learned the emperor's sacred profanities.
Seeing that these aliens not only refused to be slaughtered but were also thinking of doing something unpleasant, Horus suddenly became superhuman and destroyed the conspiracy group's base in just five hours.
Then, Shadowmoon Wolf discovered Omega, who was bound like a dumpling and used as a star slave, in the bedroom of the leader of that conspiracy group deep in this other-dimensional space!
"Waaaaah (;Д`)"
The moment Horus saw Omega, he knew that this was definitely his brother. Now that things had come to this, the most important task was to bring his good brother back to the Empire!
Horus was enraged when he saw Omega covered in gadgets, rolling his eyes like a roast goose, and so tormented that he couldn't even speak. And so their escape began.
After all, there are probably more monsters and demons in the online world than in the real world. The leader of that conspiracy group wasn't lying; she really did call in people.
The good news is that the Shadowmoon Wolves did not get lost in the Webpath, and Horus did not become the first Puma Wolves. They returned the way they came and plunged directly into the Warp.
The bad news is that some chilling changes have occurred in my brother:
"Hey bro, why are your ears so pointy?"
My head was throbbing last night, but since it's Saturday, I didn't stay up late.
