Warhammer: Filial Piety Makes Power

Chapter 145 There is a right way to die

Chapter 145 There is a right way to die
Putting the facts aside, Mordred actually quite admired Randan, this alien.

With a life force comparable to a bio-monster, a highly efficient and stable mental network, and a living weapon that can transform at will, they represent a different direction for the Space Marines.

The three pairs of compound eyes and six nerve tentacles, which perfectly suited his aesthetic, brought him new surprises every time they appeared, especially their shape and structure, which had a kind of twisted beauty.

Even the Kara network used by Atlas, and the widely deployed Divine Seal terminals, evolved from Randan's mental network.

Ironically, Atlas and the Randan Xenomorph are quite similar, both evolving rapidly and both adept at using war to sustain war.

One primarily manipulates demons, mass-producing cannon fodder by growing mushrooms, while the other primarily manipulates genes, developing and enslaving servants through infection and transformation.

Seeing the little insect that had been pierced by his own long tail yet was still struggling repeatedly with its powerful vitality, Mordred couldn't help but extend his antennae and put the tender and juicy piece of meat into his mouth to savor it.

A genetic sample from 20 years ago was retrieved from the body, and through comparison, some interesting changes were indeed discovered. The Ran Dan alien actually tasted the devil, which was really strange.

But now is not the time for research. Mordred believes that one day he will meet the genetic master and bite off his brain to explore this little secret.

With its sharp teeth closing, the tender chunks of meat were quickly digested, further increasing Mordred's size, while the filthy soul, marinated in warp energy, was burned into fel energy and absorbed a second time.

Three full days have passed since the Atlas boarding battle on the moon, and the Randan aliens are simply unable to withstand the lizardman army modified from green skins.

When it comes to resource utilization, Atlas is far superior to them; he burns souls into fel crystals to feed demons, and decomposes flesh and blood to grow mushrooms.

During the three days of fighting with Ran Dan, every demon pet of Atlas ate its fill. The first one born, Li Gou Dan, grew to the size of a fearless giant, looking like a green-skinned boss, capable of taking down a child with a single axe blow.

Feeling the complex thoughts surging within its belly, the terrifying beast, towering 50 meters tall, lowered its body, its four chitinous claws flashing with emerald lightning aimed at the floor, and slammed directly into it.

"Everyone is flocking to me; I've found my target."

Upon hearing the call from his Primarch, Atlas immediately took action, leading the lizardmen under his command toward the Primarch's location.

Mordred's target was the central control terminal, which controlled the entire Void Shield Array of the Battle Moon. They had been searching for it frantically for the past three days in order to destroy it.

Unfortunately, the control terminal of the battle moon that Atlas captured was located at the planet's north pole, and Mordred had Johnson send him to the north pole.

But who would have thought that this battle moon was reversed, with the central control terminal in Antarctica? By fighting and eating at the same time, Atlas managed to find the right direction and managed to eat Mordred into her current size.

"Father, are you sure you haven't made a mistake this time? You said the same thing last time, and now even the Ultra Warriors have arrived, but we still haven't found the way."

"This time I guarantee it won't be wrong. You guys can all read your own minds, but you still got lost just like me, didn't you? Heaven knows how those damn aliens built the roads. It's even more chaotic than the Comoros."

Brian didn't say anything more. He'd rather go to the First Legion to memorize the ciphers than come back to this damned Battle Moon.

Fortunately, the Randan aliens Mordred ate this time were reliable; they didn't choose the wrong location. The only problem was how to get down; they could only dig little by little.

With its enormous size, Mordred used its four claws to dig frantically into the ground, and even when it encountered the Ran Dan alien, the other side couldn't do anything to it.

Whenever they encounter the enemy, Atlas, riding on their backs, leads the lizardman army in a charge, while Atlas uses his good father as a shield to draw enemy fire, making it a unique form of infantry-tank coordination.

This tactic, unless the opponent completely abandons the battle moon or summons Ultraman Tiga to fight the monsters, will only allow you to watch the enemy advance.

However, on the other hand, Tiga borrowed light from Mordred when he fought Gatanothor, and he still hasn't paid it back. Mordred is Tiga's creditor.

Perhaps digging was too boring, or perhaps fewer and fewer aliens were coming to interfere, Mordred started to have wild thoughts again, and Brian asked him, "Father, who is Tiga? How dare he owe you a debt and not pay it back? Should I take care of him?"

"That's right, that's right. If he dares to be a deadbeat, we'll definitely let him know how powerful Atlas is."

Upon hearing this, Mordred said nothing, but simply uploaded the entire Ultraman Tiga series to the mental network. Only after his foolish son had watched the first episode did he speak:
"Brian, did you see that thing that got beaten up and could only dig a hole to escape? Do you have anything to say about it?"

Brian was speechless. Having already watched three episodes, he felt that his father was being targeted, and that his father also had horns on his head.

But he didn't speak; it was Zhuang Sen, who had been secretly watching the screen with Tom, who spoke up:

"Mordred, you bastard, it's been three days and you still haven't closed the Void Shield. You've got the leisure to watch TV dramas, hurry up and dig a hole!"
At your speed, you're digging slower than Golza. Aren't you afraid you'll encounter something that will poke your butt?

With a slap, Mordred, who had evolved from a Primarch into a Digging Foundation, smashed the tiny fleshy worm blocking his path, and spat as he dug:

“Hakimi, shut up. I’m working here digging a tunnel, and you guys up there keep firing shots whenever you want. Did you call for Old Man Huang?”

“I called, and I not only called the Emperor, but also Space Wolf. My father said he was going to get a weapon and might be a little late, but definitely no later than the Ultramarines.”

Hearing Zhuang Sen slander him like that, Guilliman, who also had Atlas on his head, was not happy. He had only been late once, and he had been nagged about it ever since. He hadn't been late this time either.

Seeing that the two were about to argue again, Saint Gilles, who also had an Atlas headdress, quickly tried to mediate, saying, "This is a full-band broadcast; you two have already made a complete fool of yourselves."

"Mordred, how much longer are you going to wait? Are you really going to get beaten up by some giant of light?"

The archangel, whose true cunning nature has already begun to show, is no good either. He looks glittering, but inside he's all black. He's already making fun of himself after only a few days.

"Shut up, I am the Imperial War Commander, I am the highest here. Continue to maintain firepower suppression and tie down the enemy's forces. Sigh, I feel like I've exhausted all my resources."

Sensing a huge cavity below, Mordred signaled his offspring to get out of the car. After everyone had moved away, he quietly dug forward, finally revealing a small hole, and quickly peered inside.

Then he saw a bizarre-looking, colossal Abomination AI that resembled himself being crushed beneath a giant Randan Xenomorph and raging.

Perhaps due to its intense focus, the previously unseen Randan alien failed to notice Mordred and instead continued its relentless struggle within the purple mist.

What did they do to me?

Unwilling to believe it, Mordred dug the hole a little bigger, and this time he looked through it with both eyes.

When their eyes met, Mordred saw a hint of shyness on the Abomination AI's face armor, which startled him so much that he curled his tail up and hid it between his legs, followed by endless rage.

"My eyes, my eyes! You damned bastards, how dare you defile my eyes! I will scatter you all!"

"One hundred thousand bolts of evil energy—the Demonic Light Killer Cannon."

A massive amount of fel energy erupted, and the instantaneous high temperature, comparable to a nuclear explosion, instantly vaporized the two lumps of filth, incinerating the dense swarms of Randan aliens below as well. But even this could not suppress Mordred's rage.

Meanwhile, deep within the Soul Forge in the Warp, a demigod named Vashtor gazed at the booming sales of these demon engines and fell into deep thought:
"What should we do next time?"
