Warhammer: Filial Piety Makes Power
Chapter 118 Fight!
Chapter 118 Fight!
Mordred wouldn't admit his mistake; after all, his happiest days were the three years he spent with Carlos.
Back then, it was a sweet and soft little bluebird that would pretend to be a learning machine every night to impart knowledge to Mordred. It would never refuse Mordred's questions, and even if it didn't understand, it would tell Mordred the correct answer after 9 hours.
One dared to teach and the other dared to learn; this is why Mordred was able to grow rapidly in a very short time and become the Empire's top technical master.
As for whether Mordred had any doubts, he definitely did. But doubts don't mean he didn't accept it. With such a useful knowledge base, Master Mordred was secretly delighted.
He hesitated for even a second, which would be a betrayal of Tzeentch's trust in him. He had even drunk the dung soup that Nurgle had personally cooked, so why would he be afraid of this?
To be fair, during those two years when it was used as an early education machine, Carlos didn't lie a single time. The service experience completely outshone that charlatan, Krag, making him a little reluctant to part with it. He wished he had killed it earlier.
Perhaps because he had been stared at by that overly eager gaze for too long, Carlos, disguised as one of the Empire's Twin Eagles, also saw Mordred. The moment their eyes met, the entire city of Magic shuddered, and they quickly turned their heads away, pretending they hadn't seen her.
However, Mordred was furious at Carlos's indifference. She thought to herself, "We're like brothers, studying for nine hours every day without fail. Now that he has a new job, he doesn't even acknowledge his good brother. Don't blame me for being ruthless."
Fortunately, with Magnus around, the atmosphere was never awkward; this one-eyed, sunburned Oglin always managed to pull off some nasty tricks.
Seeing Mordred still staring at the landmark, Magnus proudly introduced:
"Welcome to the lost temple of wisdom in the long river of history, where you can browse all the books from the past and the future, and even trade with giants."
Brothers, the Warp isn't as treacherous as you imagine. I admit there are some bad monsters in it, but you can't condemn them all. Most elves are quite kind.
Whenever I encounter any intellectual difficulties, I like to come here to seek help from these spirits. The Thousand Sons' flesh mutation was resolved through a deal I made with a giant spirit.
As Magnus led the way, he introduced the place and guided the two into the giant library, occasionally greeting some so-called elves, clearly a regular visitor.
And My Little Pony wasn't exaggerating. After entering the library, the endless bookshelves showed Mordred and Dorn what an ocean of knowledge truly was.
One after another, little elves strolled among the bookshelves, quickly tidying up and cleaning every corner of this giant library. Coupled with their holy and adorable appearance, it's no wonder that Magnus, the bookworm, thought this place was paradise.
"Little Ma, is this the giant spirit you were talking about?"
Looking at the adorable elf with its magnificent feathers, resembling a little angel, Magnus explained:
"They are not giants, they are just ordinary elves, and it is because of them that I call this place the Elf Kingdom."
But even if you aren't giants, you are still staff members of this Temple of Wisdom, so please don't bother them.
"Don't worry, Little Horse, I'm known for being gentle and easygoing, and Dorn is a brooding bot who can't even speak properly."
After looking around, Mordred went to the bookshelf, picked up a book and started flipping through it. When no one was looking, he even secretly used his tentacles to eat a small piece of paper.
Mordred couldn't taste the fiber, but he could taste the oil and protein. Especially the cover with the colorful illustrations, it always reminded him of the experimental subjects that were burned in the laboratory, just as slippery and textured.
Based on his years of experience, Mordred was certain that the book was made of human skin, and even its contents were quite bizarre, written from a first-person perspective, as if a living person had been turned into a book, and his memories had become the pages.
Mordred casually put the book labeled as a children's book into the plastic bag and then turned his attention to the elves. But before he could get close, the elves quickly moved away from him, in stark contrast to the situation where they were circling around Dorn Magnus.
Even so, Mordred also saw the little secrets within these special creatures.
There are no so-called spirits at all; these are all shapeshifting spirits, except that they are completely free of any pollution.
Unlike the few rare specimens displayed at the entrance, the Transformer is a genuine Tzeentch Demon, and an extremely rare and special breed at that.
These little creatures can disguise themselves as any living being, and it is precisely because of this ability that they can cause trouble everywhere without being detected.
Beautiful and pleasant fields, ancient and towering aerial castles, little angels who act as NPCs, and a huge library that perfectly matches Magnus's preferences.
After this smooth combo, Magnus was trapped in an information cocoon, a subspace version of The Truman Show.
Even Mordred was starting to doubt whether the one-eyed sunburned Oglin, who had sacrificed one of his eyes, had ever actually seen the real warp.
Over the next few days, Magnus took the two to see other places. All the creatures there were hospitable, including a knight chasing after a valiant warrior (a vampire in disguise), a beautiful songstress (a banshee), and even an amusement park. To convince Magnus that the warp was a place of truth, goodness, and beauty, Tzeentch created a world entirely for himself, even stealing some of his power from other evil gods to make it as perfect as possible.
Even Carlos has become one of the Empire's Twin Eagles.
Returning to that original garden, Mordred, having collected a bag of odds and ends, felt it was time to let those two see the truth.
"Little Horse, have you tried taking anything from here out?"
"Of course I tried, but everything disappears instantly as soon as you leave here. I wanted to warn you, but I didn't because you were picking things up so enthusiastically."
Mordred, knowing this would happen, tore open the bag and dumped all the scraps on the ground. To be even more convincing, she even endured the nausea and picked a few more pieces of fruit.
“Little Pony, actually, not only did you not remind me, but I didn’t remind you either. But I hope you and Dorn won’t blame me. You should open the portal first, preferably on the bridge of the Abomination.”
Although Magnus didn't know what Mordred was up to this time, he still opened the portal to the Abomination. Only Dorn seemed to realize something, and his face began to turn green.
As soon as the portal opened, the fel dust transmitted from the Abomination instantly ignited, and four thick, sharp claws tore open the edge of the portal and eagerly crawled in.
As soon as the behemoth descended, Carlos, the overseer, noticed the anomaly. But before the Fate Weaver could use magic to cover it up, Mordred, who had been preparing for a long time, unleashed his full power.
A burst of dim, yellowish lightning swept across everything around it. Under the impact of a massive amount of evil energy capable of corrupting half a continent, the sound of porcelain shattering came from the sky. The world, which should have been like a fairyland, underwent a dramatic transformation.
A pungent stench erupted, turning the once soft meadow into a swamp of filth and excrement, where countless white maggots wriggled. The junk Mordred had collected earlier transformed into twisted creatures and scattered in all directions.
Especially those exceptionally delicious bright red fruits, which instantly changed their appearance, revealing the Nurgle spirits beneath their skins, which were now gushing out excrement and jumping around, seeking a hug from the two.
At that moment, Magnus, whose head was being drenched in a sea of excrement, was in a complete daze. An indescribable and intense physiological reaction occurred within him, and he collapsed convulsing in the latrine.
"Pfft~"
Vomit mixed with a large amount of rotting flesh and excrement gushed from his mouth, directly onto Ron's face, who was already collapsed in the latrine but still stubbornly persisting, attracting countless Nurgles to scramble for it.
"Get out! I am Rogdo... ugh."
Even Dorn couldn't hold back anymore and started spraying the pony with venom, eventually collapsing into the cesspool with his buddy.
This scene was witnessed by Atlas, who charged in through the portal. Terrified, they quickly fastened their helmets. If they were to eat shit like those two useless Primarchs, they would be doomed.
In the blink of an eye, as the illusion shattered, Carlos, sensing impending doom, charged forward, determined to seize Magnus, the Primarch Tzeentch had already designated.
But Mordred wouldn't let him succeed. He pulled a container from behind his back, packed up the two blobs of maggots, soup and all, and threw them at his offspring behind him:
"Hey, it's Carlos. What happened to you after all these years? You've switched from being a learning machine to cosplaying the Imperial Twin Eagles, huh? Don't think I won't recognize you just because you've painted your face with gold paint. Your opponent is me!"
Now that his identity had been exposed, Carlos stopped pretending and revealed his true form, transforming into a two-headed monster bird wielding a scepter. Explosive warp magic surged forth, and countless bizarre spells bombarded the behemoth.
"Mordred, you stupid, brainless, horny monster, how dare you say that? I've never seen such a bastard as you. For three whole years, you dog have been coming here to torment me every day."
Just thinking about the ridiculous questions Mordred asked made Carlos want to smash his head with his cane. Things like the Dark Prince was actually a child bride created by Asuyan and Kane out of jealousy, and a two-headed dragon connected to Terra was under Khorne's bronze throne.
The Crystal Labyrinth is actually made of resin, the Well of Eternity is completely dry, and the filthy navel is larger than Slaanesh.
What's most infuriating is that this bastard also claimed that there was an invisible hand manipulating the entire universe, and that all of them were fabrications, which almost caused his Dao heart to collapse.
Then take the opportunity to trick him into searching for unspeakable ancient Terra porn. What do you take me, the Fate Weaver, for?
The more the Demon Lord of Myriad Changes thought about it, the angrier he became. For the first time, the two bird heads found common ground: to kill this despicable bastard.
"war!"
P.S.: I'm catching a 3 AM flight, so the rest will be posted later. My corgi is off to eat potatoes again. (The silly boss said the flight was at 1 PM, but it's actually at 3 AM. Unbelievable.)
