Chapter 96: The Burning Insects Hatch!

Chapter 96: The Burning Insects Hatch!
When Raven hurriedly arrived with the Green Vine Snake and the Mini Dragon, he saw a group of knights from the Knights Order guarding Megan and Chris behind them with wary expressions.

Before them stood six ferocious and menacing figures.

That's... Gyarados?

Raven was slightly taken aback.

"Your Highness Raven, please be careful!" Geralt rushed over at this moment.

Raven's gaze fell on the pond, and sure enough, the Magikarp that had been there was nowhere to be seen.

Seeing this scene, and considering the six Gyarados in front of him, Raven immediately understood what was going on.

"Put down your weapons," Raven said.

"Your Highness?" The knights were slightly taken aback, their faces showing confusion.

"Didn't you see that those monsters didn't intend to attack us?" Raven reminded them.

Sure enough, everyone belatedly realized that the six terrifying magical beasts had never launched a single attack on them from beginning to end!
Raven stepped forward, looked at Megan, and asked, "What just happened?"

Megan: "A wild magical beast just broke in and stole all the honey we worked so hard to make..."

A three-horned bee flew over, looked at the six Gyarados, and excitedly exclaimed, "Bee!"

"You mean, they were the ones who chased that monster away?" Raven asked.

The three bees nodded repeatedly.

"Huh?" Megan was stunned.

Raven smiled, then turned to Megan and said, "Meghan, haven't you figured it out yet?"

"what?"

“Those six magical beasts were the ones you took care of all winter. You were worried they would freeze in the winter, so you made them a water tank and put them in your house,” Raven said slowly.

Upon hearing this, Megan immediately widened her eyes in disbelief.

one two three four five six.

Megan silently counted the number of magical beasts in her mind, and she was immediately stunned.

"Could it be...could it be the little fish?" Megan looked at Raven with a questioning look.

“That’s right, they are your little fish.” Raven nodded slightly. “If I’m not mistaken, they turned into this form to protect you. But don’t worry, it’s a good thing for magical beasts. It means they’ve grown.”

Megan stared at the scene before her in disbelief.

Those six tiny fish have grown so big...

Although Megan was still somewhat afraid of the six Gyarados's ferocious faces, the thought that they were her little fish immediately dispelled her fear.

She mustered her courage and walked forward to the pond.

She looked up at the several large creatures.

The Gyarados also lowered their heads and looked at Megan.

If you look closely, you can even see a hint of injury in the eyes of these Gyarados.

“Are you…are you Little Fish?” Megan asked.

"Roar!"

A Gyarados let out a rough roar.

Seeing this, Megan gently placed her hand on the belly of a Gyarados, and then pressed her face against it.

"Thank you... thank you for protecting me."

The Gyarados squinted their eyes happily.

They also want to thank Megan for taking such good care of them all this time.

They love Megan! They want to stay with Megan forever!
"Alright, it's all over now, everyone go back!" Raven looked at the scene with a sense of emotion, and then said to the people around him.

"Yes!"

Soon, the people gathered on the ranch gradually left, leaving only Raven and Geralt. Geralt gazed at the herd of magical beasts and couldn't help but ask, "Your Highness Raven... can all magical beasts undergo this transformation?"

If I hadn't seen it with my own eyes today, no one would have believed that those ordinary monsters in the river and mud could transform into this form.

Raven shook his head: "Maybe. Monsters are very magical creatures. After getting up close to them, I don't think anything that happens to them is surprising."

Gerald nodded and didn't ask any more questions.

After a long time, Megan returned to Raven's side.

She bowed deeply to Raven and said gratefully, "Thank you, Your Highness Raven!"

"Why are you thanking me?" Raven asked, somewhat surprised.

“Thank you for letting me meet the little fish!” Megan’s voice was full of gratitude.

Seeing this, Raven smiled, turned his gaze to the group of Gyarados, and then said, "Gyarados, their name is Gyarados."

“Gyarados…” Megan repeated to herself, then said, “I’ve got it!”

“Take good care of them!” Raven looked away. “Gyarados are very powerful magical beasts. With them around, you will never have to worry about other dangerous magical beasts breaking into the ranch and causing damage again.”

“Yes!” Megan replied repeatedly.

The gentleman moth had been driven away, and the three bees and the queen bee in the hive slowly woke up.

Although the Gentleman Moth ate a lot of the honey, fortunately, the Gyarados stopped it, and most of the honey was preserved.

Seeing that the matter was resolved, Raven gave a few more detailed instructions before turning around and leaving the ranch to return home.

"Alright, that's enough for today. You can go back to sleep!" Raven said to Dratini and Snivy.

The two Pokémon nodded gently, then lay back in their nests and closed their eyes to rest.

Raven got into bed, but just then, a crack appeared in the egg he had placed next to his pillow.

"Crack!"

The eggshell shattered with a crack, and a scorching heat emanated from it, instantly raising the temperature of the entire room.

Raven was awakened by this strange change. He turned his head and saw a Pokémon covered in white fur and with a pair of blue eyes staring intently at him.

Raven was slightly taken aback, but then he realized what was happening.

The fireflies have hatched!
All the information about the burning insect flashed through Raven's mind at the same time.

Pokémon: Burning Bug

[Attributes: Fire, Insect]

[Gender: Male]

[Characteristic: Flame Body]

[Moves: Dance of Fire, Charged Flame Strike, Bug Resistance, Flame Charge, Flame Vortex, Spark, Threadfire, Flamethrower, Sunny Day]

[Friendliness: 80]

[Hosho's resume: In the 149th year of the Kingdom Calendar, the Burning Worm was born.]

"!!!"

When Raven saw the moves that the Burning Bug had mastered, he was stunned in disbelief.

Dance of Fire, Flamethrower, Flamethrower Charge, Sunny Day, Flame Vortex...

Why does this burning bug already possess so many powerful moves right after it was born?

Raven's brain was working at lightning speed.

Logically, this firefly should have hatched much earlier, but due to some unknown reasons, its condition became somewhat unstable, and it failed to hatch for a long time.

For this reason, its mother, the Volcano moth, spared no effort in using the power of flames to nurture it for thousands of years.

Before the fire moth passed away, it used the Dance of Fire to pass on its fire essence to the burning insect, allowing it to inherit its power to some extent.

Could it be because of this?
