Chapter 60: The Summoning Curse
Chapter 60: The Summoning Curse
Magic is never available to wizards without talent.
However, even wizards with some talent are not always clever.
Sheen silently put away the quill lollipop, while Hermione remained silent, somewhat at a loss.
When Sheehan placed the real quill on it, he turned around and saw Hermione glaring at Justin, who was trying not to laugh.
It's as if they'd turn him into a skunk if he just laughed.
"Laugh if you want."
Sheen sighed.
"Hahaha—Sheen, Hermione, I'm telling you, you don't think it's a real quill, do you?"
This is the second funniest joke I've heard today...
Justin laughed so hard he couldn't stand up straight.
"Justin!"
Hermione puffed out her cheeks.
Upon hearing this, Justin immediately stopped smiling:
"Oh, Hermione, teach me! I've been trying to learn the Summoning Charm lately, but I just can't seem to get it right. Do you think it might be a problem with the gestures?"
"...You hesitated too long in your swing."
Hermione calmed her inexplicable anger and turned to give Justin serious instructions.
Sheen then turned his attention to the quill pen.
He took another broken quill pen out of his bag; one of the characteristics of quill pens is their durability.
But this is not the case with Sheen.
Although he skillfully used a knife to trim the stiff tubes of the feathers, he continuously extended the lifespan of his quill pen.
But things that are meant to break will eventually break; the part of a quill pen that wears out can never be recovered.
"Accio—Quill!"
He recited the incantation accurately, and the quill trembled violently before gently flying into his hand.

Just then, Sheen was taken aback.
A summoning spell?
The panel uses this name.
Why isn't it a summoning spell?
In the world of magic, coincidences are rare.
Sheen was thinking seriously.
"Because the strength of the spell itself is determined by the wizard, the wizard's will to summon acts on the work, and the summoning spell is produced."
Accio—Quill! (A quill flies in!)
As soon as Sheen opened his mouth, all the quills in the classroom trembled and flew to Sheen.

But what fell into Sheen's hands was not just the quill pen.
Justin, clutching the quill pen, stumbled and finally fell onto the wooden table in front of Sheehan.
Just as Sheehan was calmly looking at Justin, considering whether or not to help him up,
Hermione chuckled, then, suppressing a laugh, asked:
"It looks pretty good. Is this a new dance you learned?"
Soon, Sheehan saw Justin blush.
……
Sheen had a general understanding of the characteristics of the Summoning Charm.
As Hermione said: When a wizard summons an unknown object, he does not need to know the name of the object, but he does need to know a certain property of the object.
For example, Hermione might not know the title of a book, but she knows that the book is about summoning charms.
When Hermione can't recall the book's name because she knows little about it, she simply needs to identify the item's properties in her mind (a book about summoning charms) and narrow it down to a specific area (the school).
Then items within that range that meet her desires will fly towards her.
However, at the same time, the energy consumed will also increase dramatically.
If it can summon living beings, then the power of this spell is terrifying.
But obviously not.
Harry once tried to summon Hagrid, but of course, he failed. Sheehan thought that failure might be a good thing, otherwise Hagrid would have flown in…
Of course, Sheehan also believed that no matter what Harry muttered, Ginny wouldn't fly over.
As Sheen gained a clearer understanding of the Summoning Charm, his progress also improved:

Exhausted, Sheen put away his wand.
Turning her head, she saw Hermione and Justin, who were equally exhausted.
However, Justin recovered quickly and once again retrieved three steaming cups of honey jasmine tea from Sheen's blind spot.
To this day, Sheehan still doesn't know where Justin got the food from.
All I know is that honey jasmine tea is delicious.
……
As dusk enveloped the entire castle, Sheen also set off for the cellar.
The long corridor was fragmented into alternating light and shadow by the setting sun, and the portraits hanging on the walls began their busiest and most pleasant time of day.
The plump lady appeared beside her good friend, Lady Violet, who was clearly slightly tipsy, leaning gracefully against the picture frame, humming a little tune off-key:
“Look, it’s Sheehan Green, Sir Cadogan, your ‘troublemaker’.”
She said it with a hint of teasing.
The portraits at Hogwarts were never just paintings—they liked to amuse themselves.
The figures in these portraits can move into other portraits, create incantations, offer life advice, or challenge students to a duel...
In private, they would also hatch all sorts of other wicked schemes.
Of all these ideas, the most important one came from the little wizard known as the "troublemaker."
It doesn't sound like a nice word, but it truly expresses a portrait's affection for a young wizard.
"In the name of the knight, Fat Lady, ten centuries of experience are not easily wrong."
"Little Grimm, he'll make a name for himself in the wizarding world, I promise."
Sir Cadogan's words drew frequent glances from the plump lady, for the knight never lied.
There is no time in the cellar.
Severus Snape had been here for who knows how long.
Until the downpour stopped.
The cellar remained a cold, isolated place.
The scent of the potion still lingered, and the parchment remained piled high.
Severus Snape stood there, like a statue blending into the shadows of the cellar itself, motionless for a long time.
A note unfolded in his hand, and if Sheen were here, he would know that it contained the hidden knowledge in the book of Master Libashe Polach.
However, unlike Sheen's note, this note has a faint "one" character on it.
"Click——"
Sheen pushed open the door, breaking the silence.
When he saw Professor Snape, a clear look of joy flashed in his emerald eyes.
So he quickly walked to his crucible, put down his notes, and went to the specimen cabinet to take out the materials.
Sheen was slightly excited, after all, he had two missions that would excite wizards today.
The first step is to verify how much Master Ribasius Polachi's improvement ritual enhances the quality of potions.
It's important to know that with each level increase in potion quality, the effects also increase rapidly, and of course, the potion will also sell for a higher price.
The second task
It was about verifying my hypothesis from flight class about whether a wizard's will could precisely control the reaction of potions.
However, he clearly did not notice Professor Snape's more complicated gaze.
