Chapter 539-537: The Master of Dark Magic
Chapter 539-537: The Master of Dark Magic (4k)
"awesome!"
Harry has been looking forward to Hogsmeade Week for a long time.
But he quickly shut up, glancing instinctively at the young wizard who was still engrossed in his book. He didn't seem to care that he couldn't go to Hogsmeade.
Harry saw the worry on everyone's faces, and his Adam's apple bobbed.
"Sheen, you...really..."
Sheen looked up, and the sky-blue quill stopped writing on the parchment.
The "Potion Will Science" that Professor Snape requested has been completed.
Improved rituals, willpower enhancement methods, willpower guidance methods...
In the end, Sheen and Professor Snape perfected the magical rituals for all seven potions.
Master Libache Pollack only improved this much in his entire life.
But it was precisely because of his efforts that Sheen was able to glimpse the secrets of potions.
Master Libashi's note had fallen silent for the first time; Sheen hadn't seen any writing on it in a long time.
Even now, the same sentence remains on the parchment:
My efforts have given the past a future.
"We can't just leave Sheen, a third-year student, at school,"
Ron said,
“Go ask Professor Flitwick, Sheehan, he likes you so much—”
“I’m sorry, Ron, this is probably not something Professor Flitwick can decide.”
Justin objected softly, glancing at Sheehan and then furtively at the head table.
At the head table, Dumbledore's pointed wizard hat was adorned with flowers. Professor Flitwick had just told him a joke, and he was chuckling happily.
To the left, Professor Snape, his face gloomy, glanced down from time to time, and no young wizard dared to meet his gaze.
"It doesn't seem like it..."
Justin murmured.
"what?"
Hermione's ears twitched, and she asked.
“Oh, I mean, Black isn’t stupid; he’s not going to go to Hogsmeade and do something rash. Maybe Sheen can persuade him…”
Justin thought for a moment, then sighed softly.
"He'll probably be hard to persuade..."
"Convince whom?"
Hermione frowned; she had a feeling Justin knew something, so she pressed him for details.
"Professor McGonagall!"
Harry suddenly chimed in.
“Oh, Harry, are you confused? Sheehan is Ravenclaw.”
Ron touched Harry's forehead.
Harry felt a lump in his throat and didn't dare to answer.
For some reason, he remembered Professor McGonagall's affectionate gestures on the first day of third grade.
Only Justin glanced at Harry in alarm, his eyes widening in shock, before falling into deep thought.
“Sheen.”
Justin suddenly moved closer.
Hermione was pressing Harry about Professor McGonagall, while Ron and Neville listened with great interest.
This allowed Justin to speak with Sheehan alone.
Are you planning to go to Hogsmeade?
Justin asked in a low voice.
"Ah."
Sheen thought for a moment and nodded.
Leaving the castle was part of the plan.
If he couldn't go to Hogsmeade openly, he would have no choice but to...
"That's too easy!"
Justin smiled upon hearing this.
"what?"
Sheen was interrupted before he could even ask the question.
"Ouch!"
Ron roared and grabbed the backpack. Crookshanks was digging his four claws deep into the bag, tearing at it viciously.
"Get out of here, you stupid beast!"
Ron tried to pull the backpack off Crookshank, but Crookshank held on tightly, baring his teeth and tearing at it fiercely.
"Ron, don't hurt it!"
Hermione screamed.
Most of the students in the auditorium were watching.
Ron swung the backpack around, but Crookshank held on tight. Meanwhile, Scabbers flew out of the backpack opening—
"Catch that cat!"
Ron shouted, and Crookshan dropped his backpack, darted to the other side of the table, and began chasing after the panicked Scabbers.
George lunged at Crookshan, but missed.
Banban darted past twenty pairs of legs and disappeared under an old dresser at the edge.
Crookshan stopped in his tracks, lowered his bow-legged stance, and bent down to frantically paw at the bottom of the dresser with his front paws.
Ron and Hermione rushed over.
Hermione grabbed Crookshank by the waist and carried him away.
Ron lay on the ground and, with considerable effort, managed to pull Spotty out by its tail.
"Look at this!"
He dragged Scabbers in front of Hermione and angrily said to her,
"It's skin and bones! Keep that cat away from it!"
"Krugshan doesn't know that what he's doing is wrong!"
Hermione said in a trembling voice,
"Cats love chasing mice, Ron!"
"That beast is a bit strange!"
As Ron spoke, he coaxed the frantically wriggling Scabbers back into his pocket.
"It heard me say that Banban was in my backpack!"
"Oh, stop talking nonsense,"
Hermione said impatiently,
"You can smell it from Crook Mountain, Ron, you think—"
"That cat just keeps staring at Spotty!"
Ron ignored the chuckling and laughing crowd around him.
"Spotted came first, and it was sick!"
Ron stormed through the auditorium and went upstairs.
Harry followed him.
Hermione snorted and left with Neville.
Sheehan and Justin then looked away.
Is there something wrong with the spots?
Justin suddenly said,
"The boss said that Crook Mountain has the blood of the cats, and I know that such magical creatures have the magical ability to distinguish between good and bad and to find their way."
He stared intently at Sheen.
"Yes, Banban is probably not an ordinary mouse."
Sheen said.
“Naron…”
Justin looked worried, but quickly seemed to snap out of it.
"Oh, by the way, Sheen. If you want to go to Hogsmeade, you can say so."
……
cellar.
A few viscous bubbles occasionally rose from the crucible, and even the afternoon sunlight always seemed to bypass this underground classroom.
"Obstacles are numerous!"
A clear voice rang out in the empty cellar, and the swarming bees stopped in their tracks in the blink of an eye.
[You practiced the Obstacle Spell to perfection, proficiency increased by 300]
Sheen put away his wand.
Through the seemingly slow-motion bees, he could truly feel the changes that occurred after the black magic reached the master.
For example, the Obstacle Spell actually created a small obstacle field.
For example, the petrification spell...
"Petrify them all!"
Sheen pointed his wand at the rats on the table, and instead of one rat being petrified, three of them remained motionless.
The petrochemical... branched out?
Next, let's talk about the Shattering Curse.
"Crushed to pieces!"
Sheen's gaze was sharp.
Where his wand pointed, it was as if an explosion had occurred; a chair and the kettle on it were all turned to dust.
The Shattering Curse, as a curse, can be used to destroy solid obstacles, but it cannot cause gas or liquid to explode, and it only applies to one object.
However, it seems that Sheen can now target a small area. It appears that all magical power is abruptly amplified upon reaching a new realm.
Sheen didn't know if this enhancement was deep enough to penetrate the essence of things, but because it was so powerful, the magic overflowed, which is why it only targeted a small area.
So... what about the legends above the masters?
What changes will it bring to magic?
Sheen didn't know, but he had to reach it.
The title "Master" corresponds to the combat strength of a professor, while Dumbledore and Voldemort's strength has surpassed that of a professor in some aspects.
Sheen had reason to believe that the two of them had reached legendary status in a certain branch of magic.
Therefore, to defeat Voldemort, Sheen needs to achieve legendary status in at least two branches of magic.
The quill pen began to rustle.
It faithfully records data.
Including pronunciation, gestures, the power of magic...
Sheen looked at the parchment, but his attention was elsewhere.
[Wizard Sheen, Dark Magic Talent: Gold (Blessed with the title of Dark Magic Saint). Note: Normal wizards are green.]

"Not bad...".
A hoarse voice echoed in the cellar. Snape's eyes narrowed, and he raised his wand.
“Fire, Green.”
Fiend's excessive power meant that Sheen always had to practice under the watchful eye of a master of dark magic.
There weren't many items left in the cellar, only some discarded junk that Professor Snape had deliberately left behind.
Sheen raised his wand and stared intently ahead.
The faint flame quickly ignited, climbing onto the inferior magical materials, the cabinets...
Sheen's face suddenly turned pale as he controlled the raging fire and his wildly turbulent thoughts.
This is probably the most difficult part of black magic.
As Bella said:
"The Imperius Curse, you need to do it from the bottom of your heart, kid! You need to genuinely want to cause pain—and enjoy the feeling—justified anger won't hurt me for long..."
Black magic requires the cruelty within a wizard's heart to be driven, and this is one aspect of how it corrupts a wizard's soul.
Without an almost inhumanly cruel will, it is impossible to manipulate powerful dark magic.
Thus, being prone to getting out of control became a synonym for powerful black magic.
How to drive a cruel belief without losing control is a challenge every wizard who studies black magic must face.
So, is there a way to make black magic no longer cruel?
If ancient wizards could create cruel beliefs and powerful ancient magic, then modern wizards can naturally improve upon them as well.
Rebuild order.
This was Sheen's exploration, and it was also the key to his rapid progress in the later stages of his dark magic.
[You have practiced the Fiendfire Spell to master standards, proficiency +300]
A new field has been entered.
Sheen stared intently; this was the second time he had heard such a prompt.
At that moment, the panel underwent a dramatic change, drawing all of Sheen's attention and turning completely black.
One second, two seconds, three seconds... a magic wand appeared in the darkness. It was entirely black, yet as the light shifted, faint patterns of deep purple and dark red beneath were revealed.
Sheen became a little nervous. Of course, he knew that this was the wand he held, made of elderberry and phoenix tail feathers.
Many images flashed by amidst the wand's illusory form—
The first time I used the Barrier Charm to stop the bees, the first time I used the Retreat Charm to catch a falling squirrel, the first time I used Fiendfyre to destroy a Horcrux...
A line of thick, mysterious characters appeared:
Having traversed the abyss, he finally became the master.
The gates of black magic have been opened; the halls of glory await the arrival of legends.
[Embark on a Master-Level Climbing Journey]
[Once the climb begins, the master is no longer the limit.]
The control panel has been upgraded.
Sheen froze on the spot, looking down with excitement.
Title: Son of Dark Magic
[Greatly enhances control and creativity in all forms of dark magic]
Increased control?
This is easy to understand, and even aligns with Sheen's guess.
But what is creativity?
Sheen had a vague realization.
Throughout his study of black magic, he never indulged his cruel beliefs.
He even reshaped part of the Order in order to avoid being overwhelmed by the violent power of dark magic.
In terms of reshaping [order], he even possesses an entirely original spell like the Bright Light Spell.
It seems he can... bring about a whole new change to dark magic.

[Evaluation: A wizard who has reached the master level in the realm of dark magic, whose normal combat strength is less than five, but this seems to be only an illusion...]
Combat strength is less than five.
Sheen saw this comment again; he was already used to it.
When Transfiguration reached the Master level, the panel also gave this evaluation.
But this seems to be just the surface...
Sheen knew what the panel was trying to tell him, but he wasn't willing to embrace that kind of belief.
...After all, baseness is the passport of the base.
"Not bad...not bad..."
Only after the raging Fiendfire consumed everything did the flames in Snape's eyes gradually subside.
He commented expressionlessly but with great pleasure, then looked at the revitalized little wizard, a hint of doubt flashing through his mind.
However, he was soon overwhelmed by inexplicable positive emotions.
"You should go now, Green."
Snape said.
"professor……"
Sheehan paused, realizing he had to get to Hogsmeade, and Justin's solution was simply...
Can I go to Hogsmeade?
Sheen asked in a low voice.
Snape's cold face froze instantly. He stared intently at the young wizard, as if wondering if he had mistaken him for someone else.
"What did you say?"
"Snape asked coldly."
Sheehan fell silent; it seemed Justin's approach was wrong.
"I'm sorry, Professor."
Sheen said.
"Ha—you'd better know—Green—"
Snape's expression turned unnatural; a thought had somehow popped into his mind.
—This seems to be the first time for him…
“Go on, Green. Go buy some silly things and do some silly things.”
Snape gave a cold laugh.
The moment he finished speaking, his face stiffened, as if he couldn't believe he was speaking.
"Thank you, Professor."
Sheen was also surprised.
As he was leaving the cellar, he was stopped by Sir Cadogan at the cellar entrance.
"Good afternoon, Sir."
Sheen greeted him.
"Unreasonable, absolutely unreasonable."
Sir Cadogan lay sprawled on his horse, laughing heartily.
"Another step forward, isn't it? Come on, little Green, let's go."
After the young wizard had walked away, Sir Cadogan whispered to Lady Violet:
"Look, that thing wants us to give up our whole soul, along with its quirks, its temper, its mood swings, and its eighteen hundred bad habits."
It's really annoying; only one thing is true.
"What, Sir?"
"I asked Mrs. Violet, who was wearing a long dress."
Unconditional love.
The jazz chuckled.
