Chapter 437, Section 435: Mini Programs
After Professor Snape temporarily took over as the Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher, the young wizards' lives became less leisurely.
They had to prepare for their final exams while also dealing with the heavy workload left by Professor Snape.
Fortunately, Easter is just around the corner, and the little wizards can finally take a breather.
The auditorium was decorated with various ribbons as usual. The giant pumpkins from Hagrid's garden were carved into lanterns, large enough to seat three people.
Sheehan was nowhere to be found all day, and even Hermione and Justin couldn't find him.
He is naturally very busy.
The Magic Hand Mirror is set to launch this Easter, and he needs to provide some "high-end products" for Fairy Tale Workshop.
For example, a multi-faceted magic hand mirror that allows multiple wizards to speak at the same time;
For example, a magical hand mirror that can store wizards' messages;
Another example……
“This is necessary, my dear disciple. Alchemists disdain to participate in battles, but when battles come, they should also have the ability to control their creations.”
Professor Terra's eyes gleamed with a sharp light.
“I… understand, Professor.”
Sheen stared at the modified magic hand mirror.
Its materials and crafting techniques have not been altered in the slightest—this is an alchemical ritual pioneered by Sheen, which would take even Professor Terra a great deal of time to fully comprehend, let alone the wizards working in the workshop.
So what exactly was modified about it?
It's a small, harmless self-destruct program, of course.
The accurate transmission of information is important, and both Professor Terra and Sheehan understand this.
Therefore, when necessary, Sheen can use this small magical circuit to sever future communication systems.
He didn't yet know what this magic circuit would bring, but Professor Terra's words made him think.
So, even a magical telephone can't escape the fate of having its information stolen or its information network destroyed?
"The world has never been fair, my dear disciple."
But magic is fair; wizards can get everything they want by giving up their talent, sweat, and soul.
This is especially prominent in alchemy.
Professor Terra was pleased that Sheen hadn't insisted on things that didn't matter.
"Professor, is there any information-stealing magic inside?"
Sheen asked cautiously.
"Oh? That's a good idea. I'll tell the workshop to add it right away."
Professor Terra was very interested.
"I think it's unnecessary, Professor."
Sheen shook his head in refusal.
Perhaps it was because he rarely shook his head so vigorously, or perhaps it was because her teasing had received such a perfect response, that Olivia was in a good mood.
Her disciple was a blank slate.
So much so that when it was time to apply the ink, she was the one who had to do it.
After receiving Professor Terra's approval, Sheen evenly distributed his time between studying and alchemy.
Of course, there's also a small investigation, a survey about Malfoy, which Sheehan and Headmaster Dumbledore have been doing.
……
Before we knew it, it was the last day before Easter.
Something unusual happened that morning: Justin bought a Pensieve from somewhere, and the silvery-white threads inside made Harry very curious.
Justin, always generous, shared his Pensieve with Harry, which led to something no one could have predicted.
"It's Malfoy!"
Harry suddenly yelled, startling everyone.
"What Malfoy?"
Ron covered his ears and asked, "Lucius Malfoy, he put the notebook in Ginny's pocket. He wanted to kill Ginny!"
Harry looked at Ron and clenched his fist.
"What? I knew he was up to something. Think about it, who would want to harm Ginny? That notebook couldn't have just appeared out of thin air, could it?!"
Ron was so angry his eyes turned red, and he roared and yelled.
"He's a Death Eater, his whole family are. My dad knew he was up to something and always wanted to catch him. Now he's back for revenge—that damn bastard, he actually dared to target Ginny."
My dad will kill him, I promise!
In their anger, Harry and Ron glanced at Sheen's location, but he wasn't there, which made the atmosphere freeze for a moment.
"What did you say? Harry, you have to take responsibility for your words, do you understand?"
Hermione asked eagerly.
"Look at that, Hermione!"
Harry was so angry that he didn't say a word.
Justin, Hermione, Neville, and Ron approached the Pensieve, and they finally managed to use it.
When they were pulled from the silver threads of memory, they were speechless for a long time.
"He needs to be punished."
Justin said.
"Go find Sheen."
Hermione said.
Ron and Harry calmed down; they always had an amazing understanding when it came to finding Sheen.
Unfortunately, due to Sheen's recent unpredictable whereabouts and the fact that none of them were Ravenclaws, they couldn't find any trace of the young wizard for the time being.
Just as Justin decided to use the Magic Mirror to find Sheen, the penultimate Quidditch match of the season, the fifth match, was about to begin.
It was a Gryffindor vs. Slytherin match.
I don't know what the Slytherins protested against the school, but the school actually agreed to a rematch because there was a clear problem with the ball movement in the previous match.
"It must be Malfoy, his dad's on the school board!"
Ron said angrily.
Harry nodded in approval.
Their appearance only fueled Hermione and Justin's worries.
This year, aside from their first defeat, Slytherin, thanks to Nimbus 2001 sponsored by Malfoy, led the league by a full two hundred points, meaning Harry and his team needed to win by more than two hundred points to take the trophy.
This also means that the pressure to win mostly falls on Harry's head, since catching the Golden Snitch would earn him 150 points.
"So you can only take it when we're leading by more than fifty points,"
Before the match, Wood kept telling Harry,
“Only when we're leading by more than fifty points, Harry, otherwise we'll win the game but lose the trophy. Do you understand? You have to catch the Snitch, but only when we—”
"I understand, Oliver!"
Harry yelled.
His attitude surprised everyone, but it pleased Wood even more:
"That's it, Harry, like a fighter!"
The entire Gryffindor academy is focused on the upcoming competition.
Since the era of the legendary Charlie Weasley (Ron's older brother) as Seeker, Gryffindor has never won the Quidditch Cup.
However, Harry doubted that anyone (including Wood) wanted to win as much as he did right now.
The animosity between him and Malfoy reached its peak.
Harry didn't forget the basilisk in the Chamber of Secrets, the young wizard teetering on the edge of danger, and Ginny who almost lost her life.
He had a score to settle with Malfoy.
No one can recall a match that began in such a tense atmosphere.
