Chapter 143 Two Chairpersons (13)

"Who does Sun Kee plan to promote as its leader in Wan Chai?" Lin Tiansheng asked as he walked out of the Mei Li Building and into the parking lot.

Pi Zhibang replied, "Knee King Chen Zhiming and Red Stick Shapi Ma are both strong contenders."

"There are rumors that, in order to show fairness, Fanzi wants them to each manage their own area and compete fairly. After two months, whoever pays the most money will become the head of the group."

"So, during this period, there are two people in charge?" Lin Tiansheng smirked, finding it amusing, thinking to himself: Xiang Zhancheng is quite the player.

Pi Chi-pong nodded: "Yes, Sha Pi Ma is in charge of Wan Chai East, and Chan Chi-ming is in charge of Wan Chai West. The former brought more than two hundred men from Tseung Kwan O into Wan Chai, and the latter took over Chan Yiu-hing's men."

"It seems that Fenzi Cheng can't keep people in check." Lin Tiansheng nodded slowly, seemingly lost in thought. The fact that they couldn't even secure a position as a Wanchai gang leader shows how dissatisfied Su Long and the others were.

“Let’s investigate slowly, there’s no rush.” Pi Zhibang sighed and got into a Ford police car.

After Lin Tiansheng was reinstated, he did not immediately contact Su Long. Instead, he instructed Zhihui to keep an eye on Chen Zhiming and Shapiro in the intelligence department. He could not directly intervene in Wan Chai affairs, so he could only act when the opportunity presented itself.

He instructed his men to keep an eye on Axe-Head Jun, Li Yutian, Su Long, and others. The hearing regarding Zhihui had concluded, and he was able to retain his position for the time being.

However, he was internally disciplined, his position was suspended for two years, and he was ineligible for promotion.

A month later.

Chungking Mansions, Tsim Sha Tsui East.

Zhang Jian, wearing a trench coat, pushed open the iron gate to the rooftop, looked at the figure smoking, and muttered, "Showing off to ghosts in the middle of the night."

Lin Tiansheng, holding a cigarette butt, turned around at the sound and smiled, "Ah Jian, you're recovering well."

"I'm lucky, even the King of Hell won't take me." Zhang Jian replied, then stepped forward and said, "Will we meet here from now on?"

"If nothing else happens."

Lin Tiansheng smiled and asked, "What do you need?"

A week ago, Zhang Jian was discharged from the hospital and returned to the Wo Shing Wo and Yu Bo's tutelage. Having proven his loyalty with his "half-life" performance, he has officially taken over the car and become Yu Bo's right-hand man.

Regardless of whether Yu Bo still harbored doubts, personally, he owed Zhang Jian a debt; publicly, Zhang Jian had passed the test. To gain the respect of his brothers, he had to give important positions to someone who had returned from the brink of death.

Even so, it was too suspicious that this person escaped from dozens of policemen's gunfire. Zhang Jian chuckled, put his hands in his pockets, wore a white shirt, and enjoyed the evening breeze: "That bastard Fu Wenjie, he asked me to meet him on the rooftop before. Do all of you bosses like to strike a pose?"

"Tomorrow evening, Zeng Xuezhi will bring a batch of goods to trade with people in Tsuen Wan and Shui Fong."

Back under Yuber's command, Zhang Jian received the intelligence and was sure to pass it on.

Lin Tiansheng understood what he meant and nodded: "I'll try my best to capture them alive."

Without finding the "mole" for You Bo, Zhang Jian's suspicions cannot be completely eliminated. To ensure impartiality, You Bo had already tested the cripple and the old party member one by one before finally turning to Zeng Xuezhi.

If the operation goes smoothly and confirms that Zeng Xuezhi is the mole, then Zhang Jian will rise to prominence, and taking down You Bo will only be a matter of time.

Currently, the Organized Crime and Triad Bureau (OCTB) is focusing on the New District Bureau, but that doesn't mean they're stopping drug trafficking cases; they're trying to succeed on two fronts.

"Is there any way to sell a batch of goods to Shapi?," Lin Tiansheng asked. Zhang Jian, quick-witted and immediately understanding, replied, "The Red Sticks of Xinji, right?"

"I heard he was transferred to manage the casino in Wan Chai and is competing with Chan Chi-ming for the position of manager. Selling drugs is a good way to increase casino revenue."

"But who to trade with is solely up to Uber. Besides, Wo Shing Wo's goods aren't cheap, and they're not exactly in short supply, so there's no reason for Shapiro to come knocking."

Lin Tiansheng nodded slightly: "I will try my best to create opportunities."

"I'll be going now if there's nothing else?" Zhang Jian was cautious and didn't plan to stay long. After taking a couple of steps, he suddenly turned back and said, "By the way, thank you for the money you donated to the orphanage." "It's just a small token of my appreciation," Lin Tiansheng said with a smile.

After Zhang Jian successfully went downstairs and watched the car drive away, he took out his mobile phone and dialed Shi Zhanpeng's number: "Inspector Shi, tomorrow evening in Tsuen Wan, Zeng Xuezhi of Wo Shing Wo will be making a deal with the Shui Fong people. Keep an eye on them."

Shi Zhanpeng was drinking with his colleagues from the Serious Crimes Unit at a street food stall when he heard the order: "I know what to do, Brother Sheng."

"Ah."

Zhang Jian used to be in charge of "feet," and many of his trusted confidants followed Zeng Xuezhi, so the information they received was very accurate.

After assigning the task, he called Yang Sihai again, greeting him with a smile: "Brother Sihai, what are you working on?"

While soaking in the hot spring, Yang Sihai said happily, "Taking a bath, Young Master Sheng? We're going to fire the cannon later, wanna come and play? A foreign beauty, black and white, it'll be awesome."

Lin Tiansheng laughed and said, "Brother Sihai has a really good appetite."

"When you're out having fun, you should definitely try something exciting." Yang Sihai never sleeps with just one girl; he always sleeps with two or more, and only with virgins to avoid getting diseases.

Lin Tiansheng politely declined, saying, "The foreigner is busy and can't get away. There's something I'd like to ask you for help with."

"I told you."

Yang Sihai was very generous.

After its release, "The King of Gamblers vs. the King of Gamblers" grossed five million yuan at the box office, and through money laundering, the box office was pushed up to eight million yuan.

Among the films released in the first half of the year, it ranked third, only behind "Modern Bodyguard" and "Chasing Girls," and slightly higher than "Encounters of the Spooky Kind" by one million.

The former's production companies were either "Golden Harvest" or "Cinema City," all of which had big-name directors and stars.

Sihai Pictures, on the other hand, is a low-budget investment that uses newcomers. After deducting theater revenue sharing and taxes, it can still earn two million.

The money raised overseas has not yet been included.

They really made a fortune.

Of course, on paper, "The King of Gamblers vs. the King of Gamblers" was a big production, and even with eight million in box office revenue, the investors still lost more than one million.

The invoices and contracts were heavily rigged.

Today, Sihai Company has opened more than ten subsidiaries and is setting up film crews everywhere to shoot movies, focusing on shoddy productions that can launder tens of millions of Hong Kong dollars a month.

Some of these films were never even planned for release.

Of course, if a show is truly well-invested and can make money on both the black and white sides, who wouldn't be happy?

How could I refuse a friend's small request?

Lin Tiansheng said, "Does Shapiro know about this? Could you send some men to rob his heroin warehouse?"

“No problem, he’s just a scoundrel from the New Club. With Four-Eyed Dragon out of Hong Kong, who cares about them? Wait for my news.” Yang Sihai agreed without hesitation.

After the failed deal with Wo Shing Wo last time, everyone in the underworld knows that Old Fu is out of stock. It's perfectly normal to try and steal a new deal from him. Let Four-Eyed Dragon come and negotiate with him!

"Thank you, Brother Sihai." Lin Tiansheng hung up the phone, glanced downstairs for a moment, and then turned and left Chungking Mansions.

I'm experiencing some writer's block. I need to figure out how to write the later parts of the story more clearly, and I'll try to resume four updates a day tomorrow to avoid writer's block and messing up the rhythm.
