Chapter 25 Understanding Knowledge

In class, Professor Heidegger once again recounted the origins of the world we know today.

"After countless generations and changes of time, we now live in the Ninth Age, the Age of Covenants."

What is a covenant?

"In order to counterbalance the expansion of the Corona Dragon and end the excessively brutal 'Cataclysmic War,' the Fairy Lord and the other Celestials made an agreement to draw a line between mortals and higher beings. From then on, the Heavenly Courtyard and the Earth were separated, and no one was allowed to travel between them at will. Only some passages and rituals could be opened to connect them. At the same time, the intensity of the war was limited, so that those mythical creatures beyond the imagination of mortals were isolated in the Heavenly Courtyard and could no longer interfere with the mortal world at will."

"In this era, all parties have recovered from the ruins of the cataclysmic war, rebuilt their nations, and achieved a balance. This has been going on for more than two thousand years, and now it is the year 2145 of the Covenant Era."

"The Ninth Age," Hilti wrote in her notebook, marveling at the vastness of the world's generations.

The 'Proud Sun' and the 'Illusory Moon' were born in the Third Age, ending the Second Age, which was a unified era of heaven and sea, also known as the Age of the Dome and the Sea. Thus, the era in which the sun and moon shone together was called the 'Age of the Sun and Moon' (the Third Age).

When the 'Sun' and 'Moon' split apart, the Third Era came to an end, and the Fourth Era began.

After class, Siltia packed up her books and prepared to get something to eat when a female student with chestnut-red hair walked over.

Hilti recognized the other person; her name was Valeni, the daughter of Knight Levin, but the two had barely spoken.

“Your name is Tia, right?” Valenie walked over, twirling a strand of hair behind her ear with one hand, her brows slightly furrowed.

"Yes." The girl thought to herself, "It's going to be quite troublesome."

“I see you take very good notes every day, I want to take a look.” She stretched out her hand directly.

"This……"

Several thoughts raced through Hiltia's mind. Borrowing the notebook was a small matter, but she suspected that the other person would never return it, given her bad impression of this person.

In the eyes of nobles, commoners are insignificant. If they ask you for something, it is a sign of respect, and you should be happy about it.

“I understand.” Hilti thought for a moment, took the notebook out of her bag, and handed it over.

In Valerie's eyes, this was an incredible blessing, because ordinary people, especially girls, didn't have such a good way out.

Valerie glanced at the girl a few more times at her indifferent reply, then took her notebook and left.

Just then, she saw a familiar figure enter the restaurant, and she stood up again.

Hiltia came over with bread and water from the kitchen servants and sat down opposite Komia.

The restaurant is built entirely of stone bricks and is dimly lit. A long table is placed in the middle next to the kitchen, which is used for casual meals. For formal guests, the restaurant is located in another large dining room in the mansion.

Komia then asked the same question about 'Radiant Moon' and 'Phantom Moon' again.
