Chapter 294 Holy crap, what kind of monster did we dig up?

Chapter 294 Holy crap, what kind of monster did we dig up?
"Let me see how their fight is going..."

Bored, Andrei opened the players' chat history again to check how the battle was going on their side.

Although it's a bit of a shame that he doesn't have any means to monitor players in real time, he can still get a general idea of the players' actions through their chat logs.

"Well, the operation went relatively smoothly. I didn't expect that in such a short time, not only had the warehouse been fortified, but a building on the side had also been captured."

When Andrei saw the results achieved by the players, a smile involuntarily appeared on his face, which he could hardly suppress even if he tried his best to do so.

This is really bad; the Black Hawk team is in for a rough time from now on.

The enemy actually occupied this fortress-like building in their heartland, not only seizing a large amount of military supplies, but also severely humiliating them.

Without a doubt, the Black Hawk Down forces will have to focus their attacks on this area, otherwise they will face significant problems in the upcoming war.

However, it's hard to say how much they will have to pay to conquer this player-controlled fortress.

Andrei knew that the players were the most skilled at attrition warfare. If their patience wasn't completely worn down by the fortress siege, he believed they could hold out here forever.

As for whether their patience will be completely exhausted?

Andrei felt that as long as the rotation between players was done well, they shouldn't lose patience.

From the players' perspective, this place could easily serve as a regular monster-farming dungeon, where they would come here every now and then for a quick battle.

On the Black Hawk Army's side, their offensive has temporarily halted due to the capture of the side building, but they are still mobilizing more siege weapons from the rear.

"What is this? Is this the new weapon you're talking about?"

Looking at the rather strange contraption in front of him, which seemed to be a combination of a mecha and a tank, Colonel Black Hawk, who was in charge of command at the front, asked with some puzzlement.

"That's right, the mole tunneling machine, this is the latest weapon we've deployed."

Beside this special equipment, several soldiers dressed as engineers saluted the colonel and proudly patted the large machine next to them.

Judging from its overall shape, this thing looks a bit like a tank, but it's much bigger than a regular tank, at least the size of two tanks combined.

This tank does not have a cannon, but it is equipped with a huge drill bit with a diameter of 5 meters at the front of the tank, and there are multiple mechanical legs at the back of the vehicle to assist in propulsion.

"Sir, we have always been accustomed to attacking fortresses from the surface, but in fact, we can launch an attack from underground."

"Of course, launching an attack from underground will also present us with a series of problems. The biggest problem is how to quickly dig a tunnel while ensuring that it is not discovered by the enemy or that the enemy cannot react in time."

The sapper spoke eloquently, his face beaming with a warm smile.

The colonel nodded. What he said made sense, but it wasn't anything new.

Previously, when they were researching how to break through the Maginot Line of the Iris Empire, they encountered a series of problems. At that time, they also discussed whether to dig tunnels and launch an attack from underground.

Unfortunately, after studying it for a long time, they still couldn't figure out how to dig a tunnel that would allow the army to pass through.

Moreover, given the scale of the project, enemy scouts and airships would inevitably discover it. In that case, the Iris Empire would only need to bombard their tunnels with fortress cannons to cause their underground passages to collapse.

"Sir, thanks to this weapon that the Empire has just developed, all the problems we had with the slow progress of our tunnel digging project have been solved!"

“Using this mole tunneling machine, we can excavate more than 30 kilometers of underground tunnels a day, and these tunnels are large enough to accommodate ordinary mechs and armored vehicles.”

“We can deploy a large amount of explosives into this tunnel, or we can send a large number of assault teams to launch an attack along the tunnel.”

"Therefore, as long as we use this weapon, I believe it won't be long before we take over the buildings and fortresses occupied by the enemy!"

After hearing this introduction, Colonel Black Hawk nodded.

If this thing is really as useful as the engineers say, then it's practically a magic weapon for breaching fortresses.

However, considering that this weapon seems to be in the experimental stage, and this battle is to obtain practical data, he suddenly became less confident about this weapon.

After all, it's in the experimental stage...

He has hardly ever seen any weapons in the experimental stage that are reliable!
Although he was very skeptical of the machine, he still ordered it to start operating.

After selecting a suitable area, the massive mole tunneling machine first used its side bucket to dig a suitable downward passage, and then its huge drill bit began to roar.

Hearing the noise from this thing, the colonel frowned and couldn't help but ask:

"I said, are you sure this thing is so noisy that it won't reveal its location during the excavation?"

The sapper who was supervising the excavation direction of the tunneling machine said without turning his head:

"Colonel, how could that be? This thing would definitely reveal its location!"

"But it doesn't matter. You have to trust the speed at which this thing is excavated. As long as it can maintain this speed, I believe the enemy may not be able to react in time."

Upon hearing this, the colonel couldn't help but roll his eyes.

He had to admit that this thing could dig very quickly, but when the enemy was prepared, their reaction speed would be beyond imagination.

These engineers were too naive; they had no idea just how fast the enemy's reaction speed could be.

If it were a regular Cambrian army, the enemy might not have been able to react in time, since the Cambrian Empire's army was usually very rigid.

However, General Vorontsov's troops were completely different from the armies of the Cambrian Empire.

Having experienced a series of battles, the colonel had a very clear understanding of the combat capabilities of this unit, so he had no idea that the enemy would be unable to react.

"Forget it, let's dig slowly. Anyway, this thing is an obvious target, and it can at least draw some of the enemy's attention away."

The colonel muttered something, shrugged, and then his eyes suddenly lit up.

Yes, this thing is clearly a huge, obvious target that the enemy has to pay a lot of attention to!

If that's the case, why can't he use this war machine as bait and then launch a breakthrough from another direction?

Realizing this, the colonel immediately began making phone calls to the rear, requesting air force bases to provide him with support as quickly as possible, as he needed a group of paratroopers for the upcoming battle.

"...By the way, besides an elite airborne force, I also need a special mage squad to assist my airborne force. I heard that the enemy seems to have spellcasters who can hunt down our Dread Knights from a distance!"

Just then, the colonel remembered some rumors he had heard before and quickly added:

"I need a group of mages specializing in shields and curse defense. I will not allow the enemy to kill our Empire's elite Dread Knights in such a ridiculous way. It is a huge waste of the Empire's assets!"

Clearly, news of the Black Hawk Command's airborne operation against Andrei has already spread among their ranks.

Without a doubt, the Black Hawk Command's airborne operation was a complete failure, practically handing the players of Andrei a target.

The psionicists, hiding in the shadows, took the MVP of damage output. They didn't need to do anything else; they just needed to find a corner to hide in and observe which enemies appeared within the minimap.

that's enough!
With a single Blood Boil spell, they could easily take the lives of these Black Hawk soldiers even through the enemy's power armor, so much so that the Dread Knights with heavy armor and greatswords were completely useless.

It's worth noting that, for this reason, the Black Hawk Army had even held a special council meeting beforehand to discuss whether they should abolish the Dread Knight class.
There's no other way. If the enemy could so easily take the lives of their soldiers, then there would be no need for them to spend so much money on power armor.

In the end, these power armors are completely meaningless and will only become extremely expensive iron coffins.

However, after much discussion, they ultimately refused to abolish this unit, since it symbolized a part of their glory.

Instead, they dispatched a large number of mages to assist these warriors in battle, believing that magical protection would be sufficient to withstand the enemy mages' curse-like tactics.

After receiving the colonel's request for assistance, the rear command discussed the matter and immediately mobilized a squadron of airships that was originally prepared to launch an airborne operation in another direction.

We can fight anywhere else at any time, but the Black Hawk Army insists on taking this fortress-like warehouse in front of us first!

Otherwise, the thought that the enemy had such a fortress behind them, and that the enemy would occasionally bombard them from the river or send troops from the fortress to launch surprise attacks, made them feel like they had a fishbone stuck in their throat.

This is an extremely unpleasant situation. If they don't take down this fortress, their logistics will face huge risks!

The Black Hawk troops launched another artillery barrage on the fortress ahead. It's unclear when exactly, but the Black Hawk soldiers stopped calling the building a warehouse and reverted to calling it a fortress.

Over a century ago, this was an important fortress of the Cambrian Empire, and now, this fortress continues to serve its purpose, steadfastly guarding the territory of the Cambrian Empire.

To capture this fortress, the Black Hawk Empire mobilized two howitzer regiments, including a heavy artillery regiment.

These howitzers, ranging in caliber from 105 to 150 millimeters, launched a fierce bombardment of the fortress from different directions. The overwhelming barrage of fire sent shivers down the spines of the players hiding inside.

"Good heavens, this artillery preparation is really fierce!"

Despite feeling the vibrations coming from the surrounding buildings, the player didn't seem particularly panicked.

Because the fortress's defenses were truly formidable, even the 150mm heavy artillery they had deployed did not cause any damage to the fortress's main structure.

Although occasionally one or two shells might manage to blast through the fortress walls and injure players hiding behind them, this is a rare occurrence.

After bombarding the area, the Black Hawk forces checked the wind direction and then launched a large number of poison gas bombs at the players.

It's unclear whether the Black Hawk Army didn't bring any other types of poison gas, or simply felt it was unnecessary; it seems they released mustard gas this time.

The extremely pungent smell in the air, like rotting garlic, was ample proof of the toxic composition of the gas.

However, players have also noticed that the mustard gas used by the Black Hawk Army seems to be different from ordinary mustard gas. Their mustard gas seems to be more effective at killing than real-world mustard gas.

At the very least, judging from the death of Major General Crown, if it were normal mustard gas, the opponent should not have died in such a short time.

Mustard gas is a very torturous substance, often taking several hours to kill. During those hours, the poisoned person will experience a range of symptoms, including eye ulceration, pulmonary edema, and skin ulceration.

In general, people killed by mustard gas suffer a very painful death, especially since there is no effective antidote. Inhaling too much of it will only leave you waiting to die on the spot.

The players weren't too afraid of the poison gas and put on gas masks, but they had to admit that being bombarded by enemy artillery and even attacked with poison gas was quite unpleasant.

But that's okay. The Black Hawk Army knows how to call in fire support from the rear, and players also know how to call in reinforcements.

Although their gunboats deployed on the river could not attack the distant howitzers, two gunboats were even accidentally blown to pieces by the howitzers.

But instead, they sent a message to the rear, calling for other air force players to come and help them.

Upon hearing their teammates' plea for help, several planes immediately took off from the airport: four Spitfire fighters and two Mosquito bombers, rushing to the battlefield at an astonishing speed.

The movements of these aircraft did not escape the notice of the Black Hawk Empire; their scouts deployed nearby immediately took notice of the enemy air force's movements.

Upon receiving the telegram, the Black Hawk Army's artillery positions quickly prepared for relocation, and anti-aircraft guns were also set up.

They couldn't figure out what was going on either; perhaps the Cambrian Empire's training methods were different from theirs.

They discovered that the enemy's air force particularly liked to target anti-aircraft weapons and would often engage in fierce battles with them!

For this reason, while they were moving their artillery positions, they also deployed several anti-aircraft positions nearby, using them as targets to draw enemy fire.

Andrei was speechless at the player's bad habit.

He didn't know what had gotten into the players; he didn't know when they had developed such a bad habit.

While some players do know to avoid ground-based anti-aircraft fire when bombarding enemies, most players are like hedgehogs.

They will immediately retaliate if anyone attacks them, without any remorse!

According to the players, "I've already got my fighter jets, but I still have to suffer from anti-aircraft guns. Does that mean I've wasted my time getting my fighter jets?"
In this situation, Andrei could only let the players have their way.

Anyway, their combat capabilities are strong, and they are not afraid of death. Even if this results in heavy casualties, our side can afford it.

As several planes flew over, the 88mm anti-aircraft guns deployed below immediately began to bombard the sky.

The continuous artillery fire, along with the occasional explosions around the aircraft, immediately drew the player's attention to the anti-aircraft positions on the ground.

"Don't rush to attack here, take out their artillery regiment first! We can attack their anti-aircraft positions anytime!"

Spitfire fighters swooped down toward the air defense positions, but one player in the air force squadron, piloting a bomber, unusually remained rational.

"Rice noodle roll cat, you mean, let's go blow up the howitzer on the other side first?"

"Isn't that obvious? Why are you ignoring such valuable stuff and insisting on targeting these pittances?"

Rice noodle cat couldn't help but roll its eyes. Why not use such valuable things as howitzers to bomb those few air defense positions? Is it really necessary to be so petty?

boom!
Suddenly, a Spitfire fighter jet was hit by a shell in mid-air and crashed to the ground while spinning.

Clearly, within the Black Hawk Army, an Abyss Mage used Vicious Shot, taking advantage of the anti-aircraft guns to launch an attack!

Because a mage had accidentally discovered the spell's wonderful use in anti-air defense, the Black Hawk Army immediately ordered the Abyss Mages at the front lines to learn the spell as soon as possible.

Whoever learns this spell first will receive an extra medal, along with a bonus.

Driven by this incentive, many battle mages would take every opportunity to read spellbooks, consuming countless sheets of paper and practicing countless times.

With such efforts, some battle mages naturally learned this spell, although not many people actually learned it, since they don't learn magic that quickly.

The rice noodle cat completely ignored its companion who had accidentally fallen, and instead tried to maneuver the plane as high as possible to get away from the anti-aircraft gun's attack range as quickly as possible.

As long as he stays out of range and the enemy can't hit him, that's enough.

"We've spotted their artillery over there, busy packing up!"

Another bomber nearby also noticed the location of the enemy artillery. Immediately afterward, the bomber rapidly dived to the ground, emitting a piercing shriek.

Some players previously thought of the Stuka's distinctive whistling sound during a dive, because the Germans would attach special whistles to the landing gear, which would create that unique sound.

Players thought this was a great move and looked really cool, so they also equipped their own bombers with a few whistles.

I don't know which player it was, but their skills seem pretty good; they were able to carve a whistle out of a bayonet and a piece of metal.

Taking advantage of this opportunity, he managed to sell whistles to other players, earning himself a small profit and also showcasing his crafting skills. Upon hearing this sound, the Black Hawk soldiers instinctively covered their ears; the sound exerted immense psychological pressure on them, making them extremely uncomfortable.

Before the players could even dive down, a whole host of bombs had already been dropped.

If this were a normal military operation, dropping a bomb from such a height would absolutely get him a dressing down from his superiors, because at that altitude, there's practically no accuracy to be found.

Dive bombing requires precision; what's the point of diving from such a high altitude?
However, for players, their planes have no limit on the number of bombs they can drop, so dropping bombs is like a skill.

Once the skill cooldown is over, they can throw bombs again.

Since that's the case, they can just throw bombs on the ground randomly, and see how many they manage to kill.

But it's quite amazing, perhaps it's just that his luck is extraordinary.

It was just a bomb that was thrown randomly, but one of them happened to land in the artillery position below and hit the pile of shells next to it.

A deafening roar erupted, and a massive mushroom cloud rose from the position. Countless 150mm shells were detonated by a single shell fired by the player.

In the distance, a Black Hawk artillery officer watched the massive explosion with shock in his eyes.

"You bastards, who told you to put the shells and propellant together beforehand? You'll be facing a court-martial!"

He was absolutely furious. How could such a basic mistake happen in his own army?

Despite the Empire repeatedly emphasizing that this should not be done during artillery training, some people still did this stupid thing and were wiped out by the enemy!
But he didn't know that firing artillery was also very difficult for the artillerymen.

They also wanted to fire faster and with less effort.

Therefore, when they find that nothing usually happens, they naturally tend to disregard certain safety regulations.

It was thanks to the fact that some of the howitzers had been moved away in advance that the explosion did not completely wipe out their entire artillery regiment.

However, seeing the scene of corpses strewn across the artillery positions and the several heavy cannons blown away, the other soldiers who rushed over all showed a hint of pity in their eyes.

This is terrible. These artillerymen are all valuable technical troops of the empire, and those heavy cannons are the essence of the empire's industry!
Who knows how long it will take for the Empire to replenish its artillery and cannons after the bombing?
The rice noodle cat following closely behind the bomber was utterly astonished by the sight it saw on the ground.

"Holy crap! What did you just explode?! What the hell?!"

Goodness, just a casual blast and it dealt a critical hit on the enemy's position. That's incredibly lucky!
The player who rushed ahead to throw the bomb was completely stunned. He was still a little confused as he looked at the large amount of merit points that had suddenly appeared on his account.

Who knows what just happened?

I just threw a bomb randomly, and it hit something amazing!
Without artillery to bombard, the player can only randomly bombard the other Black Hawk Army facilities around here, while also strafing the Black Hawk soldiers on the ground.

Of course, when they attacked, they also tried to stay at the edge of the anti-aircraft gun's range, because the enemy's spells were really disgusting.

Despite the fact that players initially strongly suspected the game was being cheated.

However, some observant players noticed the mages near the anti-aircraft guns.

When they saw that the mage had simply applied a layer of green light enchantment to the anti-aircraft gun, and that the anti-aircraft gun could instantly achieve a 100% hit rate, they were completely dumbfounded.

I have absolutely no idea what the underlying principle is; all I can say is that this operation is simply outrageous!

Just as the players were busy attacking the enemies on the ground, one player suddenly noticed that a squadron of airships seemed to be approaching from a distance!
"Wait a minute, enemy troops have delivered themselves to our doorstep! Let's go and take out their airships!"

Upon seeing the airships over there, the players' eyes all lit up with eager anticipation.

This thing is great! It has become their current recognized reward-type enemy unit!
Although this thing is extremely powerful when bombing ground targets, it also has a void shield with extremely strong defensive capabilities.

Generally speaking, airships are easy to destroy, especially after the player's planes are upgraded. They have a much better weaponry and it becomes easier for them to break through the enemy's void shield.

Large airships are a bit more troublesome; they have to constantly wear down the enemy's shield bars from the outside.

To deal with those escorting medium-sized airships, they only need to fire a few more shots to break through the enemy's void shield.

Unfortunately, because their aircraft speed has increased significantly, the ramming tactic has become less effective.

Whenever they charge at the enemy, they are deflected by the Void Shield and sent to some unknown alternate dimension.

Some players suspect they may have been deflected into the warp, but they feel that the scenery there is not quite the same as the warp they imagined.

At the very least, they definitely didn't run into the demonic realm of the Four Chaos Gods.

The player's plane quickly swooped down toward the distant airship formation and then unleashed a barrage of fire.

High-explosive cannons and machine guns kept firing, splashing ripples across the void shield, but they didn't notice that the large airship that the Black Hawk Army had just appeared on was slightly different from their previous airships.

"Wait a minute, what's that thing hanging below this airship? And why is there an extra crystal structure at the front of the airship?"

Suddenly, the rice noodle cat noticed that this airship was structurally different from the airships it had seen before.

Because the two pendants were not very large, he didn't notice them at first. It wasn't until he swooped down under the airship that he discovered what seemed out of place.

Just as he was wondering, the red crystal at the front of the airship suddenly gathered a huge beam of light!

The laser crystals, almost identical to those on the Caesar-class Titan, instantly ignited a plane that the player was approaching, causing it to explode into a giant fireball in the sky.

"Holy crap, it's that laser again?"

Upon seeing this thing, the player was momentarily stunned, never expecting that the Black Hawk Army would actually mount this laser weapon on an airship!

Isn't this a disaster?
They had already witnessed the power of this laser before; there was no way to use a plane to stage an accident with it!
The other planes tried their best to dodge, but they were all locked onto by the laser and burned into fireballs in the sky.

Even when they were taken down, the players were still a bit dazed, wondering how the enemy's airship had suddenly received an epic upgrade.

"Hehehe, serves him right! He really deserves it!"

On the ground, the Black Hawk soldiers, who had just been badly wrecked by the bomb, cheered at the sight.

Seeing that the enemy's air force had been so easily destroyed by their own airships, they were all overjoyed.

Compared to the ordinary soldiers, the several high-ranking officers on the ground were quite curious; they really didn't know that such laser crystals had actually been installed on an airship.

One major drawback of this thing is that it is extremely difficult to manufacture, so the Black Hawk Down forces have never been able to mass-produce it.

Therefore, this thing was previously only configured for Titan mechs, but it seems that the domestic production capacity of laser crystals has been further improved.

"That's right. If we can equip all our airships with this weapon, then the enemy's mechanical birds won't be able to harm us!"

A Black Hawk officer said with a smile, but his companion next to him shook his head.

"Unlikely. Your idea is too naive. This thing is too expensive to manufacture and the production capacity is too low. We can't possibly equip all our airships with this weapon."

"To counter the enemy's aircraft, we still need to continue our research and development. As long as we can produce weapons that are comparable to the enemy's aircraft, then their aircraft will no longer be a threat!"

Clearly, these Black Hawk officers had not yet realized just how powerful the aircraft could be after being enhanced by player traits.

I wonder if they will question their life choices after finally building their own biplane and comparing it with the players' planes?
After eliminating the player's air force, the airships began bombing the airspace above the fortress.

They did not drop the airborne troops immediately, but instead carried out bombing first.

Although most of the airships in their formation were primarily used for transport, the large airship responsible for clearing the way still carried a large number of bombs.

A massive, carpet-bombing attack swept across the top of the fortress, the immense smoke and dust and the tremors causing even the players to feel uncomfortable.

"Holy crap, this is insane! Did they have to go this far?"

During the continuous bombing, a section of the fortress collapsed, and the mortar and anti-aircraft positions that were originally set up at the top and used by the player for defense were all destroyed in the bombing.

Of course, these losses are insignificant to players, who are not lacking in such weapon-related losses.

If the engineer player goes back and hammers it a couple more times, they can hammer out a new anti-aircraft gun.

"Watch out for what's going on ahead. See that ground that's constantly bulging up over there? I reckon something's digging a tunnel to get here!"

Some players hiding in the fortress ignored the bombardment overhead and ran to the window to point into the distance.

Although the bombing overhead made a huge commotion, in addition to the bombing noise, they also heard the rumbling of construction work ahead.

Because the sound was so loud, the player's attention was quickly drawn to it.

When they saw the extremely obvious change in the terrain, the players almost simultaneously realized that the enemy was digging a tunnel!

"What should we do? Can we figure out where they're going to dig?"

"Not really. These guys seem to be deliberately misleading us while they're digging. Unless it's the very last moment before they break through the ground, we really can't say where they'll end up."

Colonel Yurten looked at it for a while, and then his eyes suddenly lit up.

"By the way, since they might not be here for a while, we can take the initiative!"

"Send a few engineers to chisel a couple of holes in the basement wall and see if we can dig a tunnel too. If so, then we'll go and meet them!"

Upon hearing this, the other engineers' eyes lit up!
Yes, why can't they dig tunnels?

In the past, when they were on the front lines, they were also capable of digging trenches. Digging tunnels should be similar to digging trenches, right?
They weren't quite sure how the game mechanics worked, but they were prepared to give it a try.

Soon, several engineer players used various tools to blast a hole in the wall of the fortress's basement.

Of course, their basement wasn't located very deep, since there was a river nearby, and digging too deep would only lead to groundwater, which could easily turn the fortress's underground space into a reservoir.

Following the hole, the sapper player used his shovel to dig a few times and found that he could actually dig it open!

"Alright, alright, let's dig in the opposite direction and see if we can block them out?"

The players were in high spirits, and one by one they picked up entrenching tools and started digging tunnels.

We never expected that their engineers also had the ability to wage tunnel warfare. We hadn’t even noticed this before!
Because of the players' digging ability, just like when they build trenches, they can dig out a lot of soil with just a couple of digs.

Before long, the players in front had dug quite a distance, while the players behind were digging mainly to move the soil behind them away!
As the tunnel gradually took shape, the players could hear the rumbling sound from the other side growing louder and louder.

"Good heavens, what kind of thing did those Black Hawk devils use to make such a commotion?"

"Who cares? Let's just dig it up and see!"

After confirming that the enemy was roughly on the other side, the first few engineer players got excited.

They couldn't wait to dig a tunnel underground and give the enemy a huge surprise!
At the other end of the tunnel, the mole tunneling machine was still operating.

The massive armored drill bit continuously churned the soil and rocks in front of it into fragments before penetrating deep inside, while a large number of Black Hawk soldiers behind it moved the soil and rocks out, almost forming a human assembly line.

To excavate this tunnel, the Black Hawk soldiers responsible for moving the earth and rocks have been rotated several times.

This job is inhuman, it's so tiring!
"Damn it, how far are we from the fortress ahead?"

"I'm not sure, but it's probably over 100 meters?"

Upon hearing this, several Black Hawk soldiers who were busy moving earth and stones felt like they were about to faint.

The thought of having to dig over 100 meters of soil and move over 100 meters of stones made them feel utterly hopeless.

It's all because of these Cambrian soldiers. Why do these guys have to come here when they have nothing better to do?
If it weren't for them, I could have enjoyed a short vacation in the rear, instead of having to come here to be a local rat!
But just then, the mole tunneling machine in front suddenly realized that the soil seemed a bit off!

"Stop! What's going on? It looks like we've dug through the hole in front of us!"

"That shouldn't be the case. According to the map, we should still be at least 100 meters away from the bottom of the fortress, right?"

Although they didn't understand the situation, the mole tunneling machine had indeed dug through the hole in front of them, and they even felt that the drill bit at the front seemed to have stirred up something strange.

The player who had just dug through the tunnel hadn't even had a chance to see what the Black Hawk Army looked like when a huge armored drill bit appeared in front of him.

The drill bit, covered in sharp teeth and spikes, instantly shredded the player in front of it to pieces. Several unlucky sapper players were completely bewildered, having no idea what had happened.

"Holy crap! What kind of outrageous war machine have those Black Hawk guys come up with this time?"

"Hurry up and bring the cannon over here!"

A player quickly lay down, set up an AT gun, and blasted it at the giant, spinning drill!

An armor-piercing bullet struck it with a sharp clang, but it failed to penetrate the drill bit.

It's important to know that this drill bit was made almost entirely from a single piece of solid metal, and its surface coating was extremely hard in order to drill through the rock below.

If we make a comparison, the defensive capabilities of this drill are comparable to those of a battleship!

The players were somewhat bewildered, as were the Black Hawk soldiers operating the mole excavator.

They also heard the cannon shot; there was no doubt that someone was firing at their drill bit!
"By the Emperor, did we really dig through their basement? I knew that map was unreliable!"

"Quickly, quickly, get our drilling rigs out of here! The Cambrian people have spotted us!"

The soldiers inside the tunnel quickly dropped their carrying tools and picked up their guns.

They never expected to encounter the enemy underground, but now they are eager to start the battle.

The tunnel boring machine, stuck in the tunnel, was now in a precarious situation. If they wanted to retreat, they would have to reverse all the way, which would definitely run over the soldiers behind them.

Since that's the case, let's just dig straight ahead, no matter what's in front of us!
Once they've dug into the enemy's basement, they'll naturally have enough room to move around and will be able to give up this tunnel!
And so, to the players' horrified gaze, the giant drill, which had just stopped, resumed its roaring and thundering state once again.

Immediately afterwards, the monster came crashing down on them.
