Whether Logan wanted to see an "underwear war" is now impossible to verify, but he quickly launched his first counterattack!
Richard looked at the joint statement from the doctors that Logan had sent over and remained silent for a full minute.
In the Chicago area, the Chicago Sun was undoubtedly Logan's primary platform for advertising.
He even abused his position for personal gain, demanding that the Sun offer a very favorable price.
Richard simply didn't expect that he would launch the advertisement all over the United States and create such a huge buzz.
The whole of America is in an uproar!
Richard didn't know exactly how much money Logan had invested, but judging from the scale of the investment, it was definitely not a small amount.
At first, he was astonished, thinking, "You're really going all out to pick up girls!"
Even though he saw the Victoria's Secret bra that Logan had put together and thought it looked pretty good, he still didn't think it was a legitimate business.
Until he saw Logan now adding fuel to the fire!
The document Richard examined was a statement jointly signed by more than a dozen medical authorities, who declared in an unquestionable tone: "Victoria's Secret bras are truly a boon to women's health!"
The following section features doctors demonstrating the health benefits of the "Victoria's Secret Bra" from their respective perspectives.
The internist claimed that this substance could "promote blood circulation in the chest and significantly reduce the risk of breast disease";
Orthopedic doctors assert that bras can "correct poor posture, prevent spinal curvature, and lay the foundation for a lady's health."
The most eloquent words came from the neurologist, whose description was almost dreamlike: this light fabric could "give women unprecedented physical and mental freedom, greatly relieve women's nervous tension, enhance their concentration and inner pleasure, and is truly proof of social progress."
They quoted extensively from classical texts and used a plethora of technical terms to weave an impenetrable halo of health benefits onto a small piece of underwear, so dazzling that it was almost blinding.
Richard: ...
That's right, that's very Logan-esque—regardless of whether he's doing something good or bad, he always puts himself on a moral high ground first.
Richard asked curiously, "Is this...bra you made really as good as these doctors say?"
Logan answered with certainty, "It's really what the doctor said."
Wow, this kid actually came up with something good... Wait, he said "the doctor said," but he didn't say it was really that good!
Well, Richard felt that this already explained a lot.
But he became even more curious, "These are all doctors with a certain reputation, why would they cooperate with you to deceive people?"
This is naturally because Logan gave so much.
Besides, this isn't some kind of medicine that you can take orally. It's a matter of each side having their own reasons, so why not do it!
Of course, Logan would only say, "How is this a lie? It's just a bit of a rhetorical exaggeration."
If they were really selling some kind of medicine, that would be a scam.
Let alone in this day and age, even a hundred years from now, the "truth" spoken by doctors will ultimately be nothing more than the "truth" that the capital behind them needs to promote.
Logan was just using their fame.
Logan didn't expect that his first blow would hit not the moral guardians, but the users of the underwear themselves.
……
New York, Women's Vanguard Organization.
This is a progressive organization that advocates for the legal rights of women across the United States.
The pioneering woman, Susan, slammed the "health manifesto" published in the newspaper onto the table, her voice shrill with anger.
"This is a complete trap! They're using the sugarcoating of 'health' to reinstate the shackles of sexualization on women!" "What is our struggle? It's about making women look more like men, erasing those artificial differences created to please men!"
"Bra? It's just another exquisite chain crafted by capital and male power, a way to tighten our ribs and souls in a softer way!"
Her eyes burned with the furious rage of an idealist, as if the bra were a lingering ghost of an old-fashioned corset. "We must resolutely oppose these underwear!"
“I disagree,” Sarah, the organization’s director, replied calmly, with a pragmatic and resolute air.
Susan glared at her. "Are you betraying the organization?"
Sarah's gaze swept calmly over Susan's smooth chest. "Susan, isn't true liberation about letting women decide for themselves how to live comfortably?"
"This new bra is lightweight and provides support rather than constriction—it can help our sisters avoid back pain and make it easier for them to breathe when they stand in the factory all day."
"If even making yourself feel a little more comfortable is considered 'betrayal,' then the taste of liberation is far too bitter."
Sarah genuinely felt that Susan was being a bit extreme.
She felt it was her duty to fight for women's right to work in factories alongside men;
She had no objection to fighting for women's right to vote;
However, Sarah felt it was unnecessary to ask her to cut her hair short and make her chest look as flat as possible in order to look more like a man.
She herself is a big bear, and she particularly dislikes the currently popular tank tops and corsets or camisoles, which make it hard for her to breathe and are real instruments of torture!
So she felt the doctors were right; Victoria's Secret bras seemed to be "a blessing for women's health."
Furthermore, she found the Victoria's Secret manufacturer quite interesting; their advertisements, while bold, clearly expressed women's right to control their own bodies, and their organization should support them.
However, Susan wouldn't listen to a word, and the two had a big argument and parted on bad terms.
The next day, Susan angrily organized a protest march against bras. The women wore oversized men's shirts and stiff suit jackets, trying their best to flatten their body curves. They walked with firm steps and solemn expressions as if they were going to a holy war.
They held up Victoria's Secret bra ads with crosses drawn on them, chanting slogans like, "Reject the new shackles of objectification!"
"No bras!"
Unexpectedly, Sarah also organized another march in support of Bra.
At the very front of the parade was a giant bra model, as tall as two people, made of pink fabric and padding!
The enormous bra cups resembled two moving hills, behind which stood a row of women wearing only hastily made replicas of Victoria's Secret bras, proudly displaying their curves and holding up eye-catching white banners with black lettering:
"Comfort is a right!"
"My body, my choice!"
This absurd yet visually striking parade left Susan's procession, which they encountered head-on, speechless and utterly overshadowed.
The Women's Vanguard organization thus split!
New York was in an uproar that day!
According to statistics, more than 30 men in New York bumped into lampposts that day because they were staring at bras.
A couple who were traveling from Europe to New York saw this and their mouths dropped open in an "O" shape!
Are all women in this New World this wild?
"But what are they wearing?"
