Chapter 82 Slaanesh Space Marine: Is this how you administer drugs? Fine! I'll give you a whole vial!
Just then, the fluttering moth suddenly stopped.
The two people behind him tensed up instantly, like cats whose tails had been stepped on, and the safety on their weapons was quietly released.
"What happened?" the name asked in a low voice.
“Once I entered the main hall, I had seen the entire structure of the Governor’s Mansion.” Moth’s voice sounded a little hoarse on the communication channel.
"But... there are people ahead?" The name immediately understood his meaning.
"Hmm..." The moth was silent for a while, seemingly trying to discern the enormous energy in its field of vision. "And it's very strong, extremely strong."
"Can we go around it?" The unicorns would naturally avoid fighting if possible, since their mission was reconnaissance, not combat.
“No way.” The vein in Moth’s right eye throbbed violently. “The only detour is very long. If we go that way, my eye will reach its ten-minute limit before we even get around it.”
"There's nothing more to say, let's go in," the great unicorn said decisively. "Anyway, once you're inside, you'll see the final structure, right?"
"What if we alert the enemy?" The name takes a more comprehensive approach.
Moth said in a deep voice, "In fact, I have been sending out the structures I have scouted in real time. The command center outside has received most of the structural diagrams, and they just responded that they are ready."
He paused for a moment, then continued, "Moreover, I can deduce from my understanding of the other structures that the remaining unknown area is most likely a closed basement with only one entrance and exit."
"Then why did you insist on going in to see?" the unicorn asked, puzzled.
“Curious,” Moth said frankly. “Aren’t you curious about what might be hidden in the extremely secluded basement of a planetary governor’s mansion, a place with no way out?”
The giant unicorn and its name exchanged a glance.
"Now that you mention it... I'm actually starting to get curious." The unicorn stroked its chin.
"Moreover, the outside world does need intelligence about who the enemy is inside the Governor's Mansion," the name added. "We really need to see it with our own eyes; it's better than letting them face an unknown enemy."
Without further ado, a consensus was reached. Without further hesitation, the three pushed open the massive door in front of them, which was carved with intricate patterns, and stepped into the dark hall.
The moment they stepped through the gate, their expressions changed.
The reason was simple: they had been discovered. A thick, sweet, and aggressive malice instantly locked onto them, and the enemy identification system immediately highlighted the outline of a massive entity deep within the hall with a glaring white border.
“Look what I’ve found,” a languid yet elegant voice came from the darkness. A massive body slowly rose from a long-backed chair that seemed to be made of flesh and blood, the chair groaning in pain under its weight. “Three followers of the Corpse King, three… brand new toys.”
The giant unicorn immediately turned its head and questioned the moth in a low voice, "Why can't you even tell the difference between a Space Marine and a Space Marine?"
“As I said, this is the first time I’ve used my White Eye, and the first time I’ve seen a Slaanesh Space Marine. To form an effective understanding, I need to see them at least twice,” Moth said in a deep voice, staring intently at the ball of energy. “I don’t know what the meridians and energy flow are like within a Slaanesh Space Marine; I can only vaguely judge that they are very strong.” Moth continued, “Moreover, the psionic energy here is incredibly dense, with energy emanating everywhere, severely interfering with my vision. The building structures are fine, but these high-intensity units are completely enveloped in a psionic aura, making it impossible for me to even use the method of [inferring the enemy by their size].”
“Hey, hey, hey, you three, are you done chatting?” the Slaanesh space soldier said loudly, his tone mocking. “If you need more time to discuss how to deal with me, I can mercifully give you six minutes.”
"Quite polite," he muttered, then raised his voice in response, "Alright, let's discuss it. By the way, may I ask your name?"
"Hehe, just call me Gerald." Gerald seemed to enjoy this cat-and-mouse game, and he waved his hand elegantly.
"Snapped!"
The lights in the hall turned on instantly, and the dazzling golden light illuminated the entire space, finally allowing the three players to see the scene in the hall clearly.
As a result, all three of them looked extremely grim.
It's quite obvious that this was originally an exhibition hall for artworks. And it still is, of course, except that all the exhibits have been transformed into "artworks" made of the flesh and blood of various species… and these flesh-and-blood artworks are still alive. They tremble and twitch incessantly on their bases, their exposed blood vessels and nerves clearly visible, as if waging a silent scream, causing intense phantom pain just to look at them.
At the center of these "works of art" stood Gerald. He wore a suit of power armor in pale purple and ivory, its surface adorned with ornate yet decadent runes. He wore no helmet, revealing a face so perfect it was unsettling, a perpetually smug smile playing on his lips. An elegantly slender power sword hung at his waist, its hilt set with a large, seemingly breathing purple gem.
"Have you figured out a way to deal with it?" the moth asked, blood tears already streaming from his right eye.
"What else can we do?" The giant unicorn shrugged. "Extreme sublimation, of course."
It's important to clarify that the "ultimate sublimation" mentioned by the giant beast here doesn't refer to the tragic act of an aging emperor burning his life force and Dao fruit in some fantasy worlds. It's simply one of many slang terms used by players to refer to the act of injecting 750 ml of combat potion into the body at once. In fact, different players have different names for it, with many using rather childish terms like "Sage Mode," "Demon Disintegration," and "Bankai."
The giant horned beast had barely finished speaking—
"Chuck! Chuck! Chuck!"
Three synchronized mechanical injection sounds rang out simultaneously. Almost at the same time, all three used the systems built into their shells to inject massive amounts of medicine—enough to cause a mortal's blood vessels to burst instantly—into their circulatory systems.
The next moment, like three arrows released from a bow, they drew their buzzing power swords and charged towards Gerald in the center of the hall from three different directions with a ferocious speed that tore through the air!
"Hmm? This speed..." Gerald's lazy smile faded slightly, replaced by a hint of surprise. "He actually administered such a dosage in one go?"
His surprise quickly turned into a morbid ecstasy, like an old drunkard seeing a hothead pick up a whole bottle of liquor and prepare to down it in one gulp. He was thrilled and let out a delighted laugh: "Hehehe, how interesting! I'll join you in a little!"
He pulled out an equally menacing syringe from his waist and plunged it into the incision in his neck.
"Oh my gosh—this is so awesome!"
Feeling the explosive release of pure hallucinogenic drugs within him, Gerald trembled slightly, his eyes glowing with an eerie purple light. He grabbed his power sword, licked his lips with his long, forked tongue, and let out a piercing laugh: "Heh heh heh... Come on, for the Emperor!"
