Chapter 202 Rain Father Insults Tyron! Rain Father is invincible!
As the dying twisted and turned with all their might, the green light in the center of the magic circle grew stronger. The air, which should have been dry and scorching, suddenly became damp and cool. Thick, dark clouds began to gather in the deep green sky, and faint rumbles of thunder could be heard rolling from the depths of the clouds.
When the green light reached its peak, a torrential downpour began.
The cold rain poured down on them, and the players who were vigorously wiggling their butts suddenly shivered, their movements involuntarily slowing down considerably.
"Holy crap!" one player exclaimed, noticing something was wrong. "You guys, check your status bars!"
Upon hearing this, everyone opened their personal profiles. The next second, they were all dumbfounded. The status bar was densely packed with various abnormal statuses: [Mild neck discomfort], [Muscle pain], [Joint swelling and pain], [Low-grade fever], [Skin scabs], [Internal bleeding], [External bleeding], [Gum bleeding], [Diarrhea], [Nausea]... There were at least a hundred of them, and the status bar couldn't hold them all. A small slider even appeared on the right, allowing users to scroll down to see more "surprises".
At that moment, a massive figure slowly rose from the magic circle. It held a thick stem in one hand and a boxwood branch in the other. Its bloated body was covered with pustules and sores, but its eyes revealed a strange, grandfatherly kindness.
"Insulting a loving father..."
The enormous Nurgle demon was halfway through its sentence when it saw the bizarre sight before it: a group of mortals were bending over, writhing and struggling in the deep green poisonous mist. The sight made it somewhat embarrassed, and for a moment it didn't know whether it should continue with its harsh words.
The player captain was overjoyed to see the demon successfully appear and quickly shouted to the others, "Alright, alright! Stop shaking! We've summoned the Rain Father!"
Then, he dashed to the demon, his acting instantly taking over. He knelt down with a thud, bursting into tears and wailing, "Lord Tigros! You must do justice for us poor souls! We used to live a peaceful life on this planet, working at sunrise and resting at sunset, harvesting and sowing every year, watching our crops grow—how happy we were! But then disaster struck! A swarm of damned insects suddenly descended from the sky, trying to devour us all, not even sparing the little earthworms in the soil! This scorched earth you see now is the result of their devastation! Lord Tigros, you must do justice for us! Waaah…"
The other victims immediately understood and joined in the wailing, creating a very sorrowful scene.
This made the newly arrived demon even more embarrassed: "First of all, my name is not Tigros, you can just call me Father Rain, and don't think about what my real name is; secondly, why do I feel like... this soil was burned like this?"
These words made the hearts of those who were about to die tighten suddenly. Was the plan going to fail?
However, Rain Father's next words took an unexpected turn: "However... I have already sensed that cold will that devours everything. This lifeless, predatory behavior is not in accordance with the teachings of a loving father. I will destroy them."
With a casual wave of his hand, Rainfather summoned a Nurgle beast that leaped from the void. Like a lively, overly excited puppy, it licked its long tongue, drooling copious amounts of sticky saliva, and happily ran to the group of people going to their deaths. Much of its saliva even splashed onto the captain, immediately corroding several small pits into his carapace.
“Go up,” Rainfather pointed to the broad back of the Nurgle, “and witness how I destroy those blasphemers who desecrate life.”
A small group of those going to their deaths rode on their Nurgle beasts, following the Rain Father's massive body. The torrential rain never stopped along the way. And in the places irrigated by the rain, even those going to their deaths were certain that just hours before, these places had been burned to a vitreous, scorched wasteland, but now, miraculously, the land had been revitalized. The black, scorched earth had rapidly transformed into fertile soil, and various vibrant, twisted green plants were sprouting at a visible speed, appearing full of life. Even in places where the rainwater had pooled, all sorts of strangely shaped insects were already flying around.
"Captain, isn't this impact a bit too widespread?" A player whispered to the captain on the Nurgle Beast. "After the war, will Tyrannosaurus really be able to completely eliminate all this stuff?"
"Trust in Tyron's expertise," the captain could only say. "We'll burn it again with promethium later."
As they spoke, they could already see Tyrande's massive Zerg army stretching across the mountains. Tyrande, of course, also noticed this suddenly appearing force, radiating a strong aura of life. After a sharp roar, a large number of Zerg units charged towards them like a tidal wave.
However, the swarm tactic was ineffective against Rain Father.
Those knife-wielding and gun-wielding insects that charged at the forefront, after only a few drops of rain, began to tremble uncontrollably, their running speed decreasing more and more. Before long, they all collapsed in the rain, their carapaces rapidly softening, their flesh dissolving, turning in the blink of an eye into puddles of foul-smelling pus and stark white bones.
Some higher-level units, such as the Tyrannical Warriors, while not killed outright by the rain, were severely weakened and slowed down. Without the Rain Father even needing to intervene, the excited Nurgle beast charged into the swarm and caused massive casualties.
The players riding on Nurgle instantly forgot their previous worries and cheered excitedly:
"Charge! Charge! Sprint! Sprint! Woohoo!"
"Yes! That's how you ram them! Run them over and kill them!"
"Rain Father insulted Tyron! Rain Father is invincible!"
Hearing the heartfelt cheers from his "family," Yu's father's face, covered in pustules, couldn't help but break into a happy expression, even tinged with a hint of shyness: "Not at all, I only used a tiny bit of my power. Your loving father is truly invincible."
Led by Rain Father, the Nurgle army advanced deeper into the Terran defenses with overwhelming force. From the sky, the endless swarm of Terran insects had been torn apart by Rain Father's arrival, leaving a large gaping hole.
If the Rain Father continues to wreak havoc like this, it's not impossible that Tyrannosaurus on the ground will collapse completely.
Thus, the will of the insect hive, far away in orbit, began to mobilize massive amounts of biomass to create a completely new unit to deal with the threat of the Rain Father.
