Mystery: The Last Shepherd

Chapter 469 New Members

Chapter 469 New Members
Good afternoon, Mr. Fool~

The familiar greeting of "Justice" rang out above the gray fog. Lu Ze looked up and found that the empty seat directly opposite him—next to "The Magician"—had been occupied by a new figure.

The gray mist blurred her figure; Lu Ze could only make out that she was wearing a long robe, had black hair, and beautiful deep purple eyes.

Ok?
There seems to be something wrong with those eyes.
Meanwhile, the others at the Tarot meeting also noticed the new member and cast scrutinizing glances at her. As [Justice] nodded in agreement, the new member followed suit.

"Admiral of the Stars" Cattleya cautiously observes everyone.

Using her unique ability, she could pierce through the gray fog with her "Prying Eyes" to see the blurry faces and clothing of everyone. She saw—

[Justice] is a stunningly beautiful young woman in an elegant gown; [The Hanged Man]'s attire suggests she's a member of the Church of Storms; [The Sun] is tall and young, seemingly from the Fossacs, but her clothing is extremely archaic; [The Magician] is dressed like a woman from the city of Rune; and [The World] wears a hood, making her appear almost inhuman.
As for [moderation].
Cattleya's purple eyes suddenly narrowed.

This, this is
The crimson robe, so bright it seemed you could smell the blood, and the cold, insane aura—all of this was very similar to that of someone who had just committed a heinous crime on Toscart Island!

Just as "Admiral of the Stars" Cattleya was extremely surprised, she suddenly noticed that Luze opposite her also raised his head and looked at her coldly.

"What are you looking at?"

Lu Ze asked in a cold voice.

Through the gray fog, he saw a pair of eyes floating in front of the new member. A pair of eyes without eyelashes, cold and indifferent.

Inside a room at the base of St. Samuel's Church in Backlund.

"Captain, we have two new pieces of intelligence."

A night watchman wearing red gloves hurried into the temporary office assigned to them by the church, carrying a telegram. He looked somewhat excited.

"What are they?"

Sost, the leader of the Red Gloves squad and known as "The Soul Reaper," stroked his temple and asked.

“The first thing is that the Blood Monk’s appearance has been revealed,” the Night Watchman replied, handing over a wanted poster tucked under the telegram. “The Storm Church’s ‘Punishers’ probed the memories of the local residents and used rituals to create his likeness!”

The office erupted in commotion as the Red Gloves members, scattered throughout the room, immediately gathered around, passing the wanted poster around with great interest.

In previous incidents, although some people had seen the Blood Monk, their memories of him were always blurred for some strange reason. Although the royal angels clearly saw his appearance, they did not spread the word.

Until this recent incident, the Blood Monk publicly declared his intention to oppose the Royal Family of Rune. Seemingly to demonstrate his resolve, he didn't even conceal his face, leaving his appearance etched in the memories of many on the island.

"Hey, you know what, this guy is actually really handsome."

"Why did you have to become a criminal? Being a gigolo would have been so much better; with that face alone, you could probably seduce a lot of women."

"He is handsome, but look how fierce his eyes are. No wonder he's a villain who dared to attack the palace."

"Leonard, come take a look too. This guy is much more handsome than you."

The men in red gloves discussed the faces on the wanted poster, pointing and commenting. One of them glanced at the man in the corner and quipped.

Leonard, with his green eyes and black hair, had his legs propped up on the table, arms behind his head, a top hat obscuring his face, and his chair tilted back, looking as relaxed as if he were taking a nap. Hearing someone call his name, he removed his top hat, revealing a smiling face.

“Really? Then I’ll have to take a look.” With that, he put on his hat, walked to the center of the crowd, and looked at the wanted poster.

On the paper was a handsome, yet cold and crazed young man. His eyes were captivating, but deep within them seemed to lie an unfathomable pain, possessing a terrifying magic that could draw people in.

"I admit, he's a bit stronger. But even so, I'm still the most handsome one in our team."

Leonard handed back the arrest warrant and joked with everyone.

He did not recognize that this was his former colleague.

The reason is simple: Lu Ze altered his appearance.

Since the "Kapin Case," Luzer has made it a habit to alter his appearance before undertaking any major undertaking. By using "flesh magic" to slightly modify his facial features, he can make himself look drastically different from his original self. Especially after adopting the alias "Alexander Gascoigne," he has essentially fixed his appearance.

In other words, Anderson, the sea serpent, and the people on Toscart Island all saw the same face.

Because only his facial features were slightly modified, he was still quite handsome, though no one would associate him with "Luzer Rondor". Compared to his time in Tingen City, his current appearance was more sinister and evil.

"Okay, what's the second message?"

After the Red Gloves chatted for a while about the Blood Monks, Soster came out and stopped them, asking the team member holding the telegram a question.

"Oh, I almost forgot. The second thing is the latest development regarding that 'Fool'."

The team member handed over the second telegram.

Leonard stopped laughing and glanced in that direction.

"The 'Fool' that the Aurora Club is publicly searching for?"

After receiving and reading the telegram, Soster couldn't help but chuckle. "Someone falsely claimed to be his follower, attempting to defraud him. After reciting his name, he was struck dead by lightning. I never imagined there really was such a mysterious being called 'The Fool.'"

"team leader."

Leonard reached out and took the telegram from the other person's hand.

He read it carefully.

Meanwhile, above the gray fog.

As soon as Lu Ze finished speaking, the atmosphere around the long table froze.

Two members reacted quickly: Justice and The Hanged Man.

"Mr. Temperance seems quite displeased. Does he dislike the new lady looking at him? That doesn't make sense; he doesn't usually react this strongly when we look at him," Audrey thought to herself, her mind racing. "Could it be that the new lady's observation skills are unusual?"

"Gascoin is angry. Hmm, did he discover that the other side is the 'Star Admiral'? Or is it something else? I really want to know. But [Justice] will definitely ask first, so I'd better not say anything."

Alger, who had already been on high alert after recognizing the "Star Admiral," remained silent as the situation suddenly changed.
