Mystery: The Last Shepherd
Chapter 311 Exploration Team
Chapter 311 Exploration Team
Susie ultimately failed to catch Luna's tail, because the moment Luna jumped up, the black cat on the table deftly flicked its tail, causing Luna to miss its target and crash into the table with a loud bang.
Lu Ze didn't try to scare Susie any further; he needed to hurry back to the East District to organize people and consider what kind of factory to open. After saying goodbye to Audrey, he left in a hurry.
As he established a spiritual connection with the lambs, he seemed to unconsciously begin to value them.
This is probably a shepherd's instinct.

Meanwhile, in Queens, at Viscount Lilson's mansion.
"Welcome back, my dear brother. How was work today?"
As soon as Constance got home, he met a gentle and handsome young man in the foyer who was smiling at him and saying something.
This man was his brother, John Lilson.
Reeve was wrong about one thing: Constance was not able to inherit his father's title because he was the youngest son, and his older brother was the one who was to inherit the family viscount title.
".fine."
Cons suppressed his complex emotions and forced a smile.
"Take a quick rest, then head to the restaurant."
John patted his younger brother on the shoulder and said, "Father is home early today too, so our whole family can have dinner together."
"Oh."
Although Constance was unhappy, he knew that his brother meant well, so he went back to his room in silence. With the help of the servants, he washed up and changed his clothes before entering the dining room.
There were already people waiting for him on both sides of the long table.
"Cons, you've had a hard day too."
The speaker was his mother, Viscountess Lisson, a graceful and beautiful noblewoman who looked lovingly at her youngest son. "You've worked so hard! I should report this to MI9 and have them award you a medal. Don't you think so, my dear?"
"Mother, please, please don't do this."
The servant pulled out a chair for him, and after Constance sat down, the servant laid out the cutlery for him.
He and his brother sat at one side of the long table, their mother facing them. At the head of the table sat the head of the family, their father, Viscount Lisson. The viscount was engrossed in reading a newspaper. He only looked up at his youngest son when he heard his wife's call.
"In trouble?"
He seemed to see right through the other person and asked directly.
".Um."
Cons wanted to lie, but under his father's watchful eye, he finally nodded slightly, "There is a slight ideological conflict with my team leader."
I've told you so many times, you need to speak properly.
Upon seeing this, the Viscount immediately put down his newspaper and began to ramble on, "When I was young, I worked with Earl Hall on business."
Again!
Cons felt a headache coming on. His father was good in every way, except for this one annoying thing: he would go on and on about his past. He quickly picked up his knife and fork from the table. "Let's eat first, I'm hungry!"
His brother and mother were also helping him prepare the tableware, clearly unwilling to listen to the patriarch's countless recounting of the glorious past.
"Alright, let's eat first then."
The viscount, his enthusiasm waning, sighed and gave a signal for the family to begin their meal.
"By the way, Cons, would you like to go to the ball tonight? There's royalty and the Duke of Negan in attendance."
After the meal, the Viscountess thought of something.
"I dont go."
Cons refused outright. "Is that so? That's a pity. I heard from Countess Hall that Audrey would also be attending."
"Well, how about we go?"
Cons hesitated for a moment before speaking.
The remaining three people in the house exchanged glances, seemingly trying to suppress their laughter.
They had all basically figured out Constance's intentions. Despite being the youngest son of a viscount, with a much smoother path in life available, he chose to join MI9, hoping to establish merit. While personal ideals certainly played a part, there was also the underlying desire to elevate himself and become more worthy of someone else.
The Lilson family was naturally delighted with this. Their family had a long-standing and good relationship with the Earl of Hall, but whether it would work out depended on the young people's opinions.

Luzer returned to Lehman's territory and summoned Charles.
"How's the investigation going?"
he asked.
"It's more difficult than I imagined."
Charles said with difficulty, "Factory buildings, machinery, raw materials, and markets are all very difficult things to manage."
"There's no need to worry about these for now."
Lu Ze said, "I've already found the people. If we're lucky, we can get all of this sorted out."
"Have you found a sugar daddy?"
Charles was overjoyed. "Which nobleman is it, and how much investment can he provide?"
"Don't worry about these things, you'll find out later," Lu Ze said. "Go and organize the people, and call them all to the square."
Charles obediently left, like a loyal sheepdog, to herd the sheep for his master.
Lu Ze did not leave immediately, but instead pondered in his office.
He is considering what kind of factory to open.
He picked up the file folder and went through all the files he had collected. Luzer noticed that the factories where those workers had previously worked were basically of three types: steel mills, chemical plants, and textile mills. This was consistent with the current pillar industries of Backlund.
Steel mills are too demanding, and the raw materials are hard to come by, making them unsuitable for the old, weak, and disabled members of their herd. Chemical plants, on the other hand, require more sophisticated machinery and better protective equipment for their workers, all of which would cost money. After much consideration, only textile mills, where raw materials are readily available and the machinery is relatively easy to operate, seem like the best fit.
Moreover, through his review of the files, he discovered that there were many skilled textile workers in the herd, which gave him a certain advantage in starting out.
Thinking of this, Lu Ze suddenly chuckled.
I, a Sequence 5 Extraordinary, am actually busy with this kind of thing.
Forget it, it's all just an act. Once the act is over, I can let go of all this.
He consoled himself with this thought, then turned and went out the door.

Meanwhile, the land abandoned by the gods.
It was pitch black; the world seemed to be nothing but darkness, with only the occasional flash of lightning illuminating it briefly.
"Crackling."
The campfire in the camp was burning brightly, casting a warm glow on the faces of every team member.
The surroundings were quiet, with only the sound of burning firewood audible.
The faces of the group were etched with worry and anticipation. The unease stemmed from the fact that the temple of the evil god was terrifying, having already turned the entire exploration team into bizarre monsters. The anticipation arose from the fact that the leader of the team was Colin, the chief of Silver City and the "Demon Hunter."
The strongest warrior in Silver City was sitting cross-legged and slowly addressed the crowd:
"Depart after 50 lightning strikes."
