Mystery: The Last Shepherd

Chapter 245 "Red Light" Elmoria

Chapter 245 "Red Light" El Moria
Since absorbing the extraordinary ability and becoming a Mystic, Luze's prayer objects have mostly been dangerous beings.

Not to mention the true creator, the hidden sage, the primordial witch and other evil gods, even his former nominal superior, the Goddess of Night, gave him the feeling of being a neutral observer, calculating how much investment potential he could have.

Unfortunately, the knowledge Luze gained from the Mystic Potions was distorted by the True Creator. It didn't include neutral or friendly mystical individuals, only the True Creator and his retinue—two extremely dangerous beings. All rituals were essentially related to Him: sacrifices to please Him, prayers for power, and so on.

Although the true creator is dangerous, before that, he could rely on the illusory tides to resist spiritual pollution, complete the ritual, and achieve his goals. It's like eating the sugar coating and throwing the cannonball back.

But ever since Luze killed the offspring of the true creator, this petty evil god has held a grudge. Not only does he not respond to Luze's prayers, but he also uses rituals to transmit a large amount of crazy ramblings in an attempt to destroy his spirit.

In other words, Luze is currently in an awkward situation where there is no one to pray to.

The true creator loathed and resisted him, the goddess's attitude was ambiguous, and the other evil gods were equally dangerous.

But Luze needs an object of prayer, otherwise many useful rituals cannot be performed.

So he began searching for other objects of prayer, his first target being the mysterious "Fool." However, his repeated attempts to pray to the "Fool" failed because his own supernatural abilities resisted the "Fool."

He had also analyzed that perhaps he could consume a large amount of his spiritual energy until the remaining spiritual energy was insufficient to support the tide. At that point, the tide would no longer appear on its own and would no longer stop him. However, facing a deity who was neither good nor evil directly would be too dangerous.

Therefore, when Lu Ze saw the names and detailed explanations of the seven lights in "Spiritual Encounters", he immediately became very interested in them.

I can try to establish a connection with them. It's time to get to know some friendly, mysterious beings.

With that thought in mind, he returned to his room and began preparing for the ceremony.

According to the book, there are two ways to communicate with the seven lights of the spirit world. One is a "secret ritual," which requires the person performing the ritual to open their heart and spirit, making deep contact with the corresponding being to obtain the corresponding knowledge, power, help, or spiritual experience. This method is relatively easy to achieve, but it causes one's spirit to be completely open to the other, and secrets that are not usually revealed may be known to the other.

The second method is even simpler and more direct: a "séance," which involves directly inviting one of the seven luminaries from the spirit world to answer one's various questions. It doesn't involve mental contact, making it safer. The downside is that the seven luminaries in the spirit world are of very high rank and may not necessarily respond to a mere Sequence 5's prayer.

After thinking for a while, Lu Ze decided to use the second method.

Regardless of whether he can respond, let's give it a try first.

With this in mind, he created a spiritual wall, prepared an altar, lit three candles, and dripped essential oil into the flames. After completing the preparations, he placed a paper figure in the center of the altar as a medium for the invocation.

He stepped back, opened his mouth, and recited a prayer in ancient Hermetic:
"I!"

"I pray in my name."

"I pray to communicate with 'the eternal light of the spirit world, the embodiment of endless knowledge, the red of authority and will'."

He tried to control his split personality while reciting the prayer. Because of his mental confusion, it took him a while to finish reciting the prayer.

His object of prayer was one of the seven lights, the "Red Light" El Moria. This pure light, symbolizing power and will, often appeared as a majestic old man holding a scepter, possessing extensive knowledge of the mystical realm.

From Luze's perspective as a cryptic initiator, this "red light's" ritual was neither evil nor insane. Although it lacked the power of a deity, its status was already quite high.

"Bang! Bang! Bang!"

As he prayed, the flames of the three candles expanded and magnified simultaneously, miraculously merging together to form an illusory portal of light. The world outside the altar plunged into darkness, and countless indifferent eyes opened. These eyes were neither evil nor benevolent; they simply existed objectively, watching him. "Whoosh—"

An invisible wind blew across the altar, stirring within the spiritual wall. The paper figure on the altar remained unaffected by the wind, instead swaying as it rose, its surface stained a pure crimson.

Success the first time?
Lu Ze looked at the red color with slight surprise.

This red was different from the flesh and blood he was used to seeing; it wasn't so bloody, but rather rich and bright, like pure light.

"Hello."

Lu Ze greeted the other party.

In that book, "Spiritual Encounters," the author records that Seven Lights liked to teach people and liked people to treat him as a teacher rather than as a superior being.

As he greeted them, he activated a virtual ocean wave in his mind. Although the "red light" seemed friendly, he remained vigilant to prevent any unexpected incidents.

"Hello."

The red paper figure replied, bowing slightly to Lu Ze. Although its voice was very authoritative, its tone was very kind.

They were quite polite, more courteous than I expected.

Lu Ze thought to himself.

After bowing, the paper figure possessed by "Red Light" Al Moria stood quietly, seemingly waiting for Lu Ze to speak first.

Um, what should I say?

Lu Ze and Red Light stared at each other for a few seconds before Lu Ze said, "Your Excellency 'Red Light' El Moria, you look quite red, like a curly-haired baboon. Ahem, sorry, please ignore what I just said."

Halfway through his sentence, his mind was suddenly influenced by the lamb spirit of the "arsonist," and he actually opened his mouth to provoke "Red Light." Fortunately, he managed to control himself before he could finish speaking. "Actually, I have a few questions I'd like to ask you to answer."

“Please just call me Al Moria,” the other person replied. “No need to apologize, I understand your predicament.”

That's too polite.
Lu Ze thought to himself, but said aloud, "As you can see, my mental state is not very stable right now. Is there any way to resolve my mental problems?"

After he asked the question, he could sense that Hongguang was silent for a moment. As if he had thought about it, he slowly replied, "I'm sorry, your question is fundamental, and with my limited knowledge, I cannot offer any constructive suggestions."

The seven lights of the spirit world symbolize the existence of knowledge itself, yet they claim their knowledge is shallow?

Lu Ze was incredulous. He sensed something suspicious about the other person's silence, as if they knew something but were unwilling to answer. What puzzled him even more was that the other person claimed his madness was fundamental—was he implying there were deeper reasons behind it?

"never mind."

Seeing that the other party was unwilling to answer his questions, he simply gave up for the time being. Then, as if remembering something, he took out the white rib and asked, "Excuse me, do you know how to use this extraordinary item?"
