Mystery: The Last Shepherd

Chapter 234 Mr. A has arrived!

Chapter 234 Mr. A has arrived!

Lastville Street.

On the bustling street, ordinary people ignored the approaching red-gloved men, continuing to drink and letting them slowly encircle a building. However, the streetwalkers behaved differently; they stiffly turned their heads, staring at the night watchmen with lifeless, cold eyes.

"Thump thump!"

They ran at breakneck speed, their mouths splitting open to the back of their heads as they lunged forward with twisted and terrifying mouths!

However, after approaching several of the red-gloved figures, their eyelids began to droop uncontrollably, and eventually they collapsed to the ground, falling into a deep sleep. Although they were dead and had become flesh and blood servants, vivid dreams still visited them.

Several men in red gloves calmly raised their pistols and aimed at them.

"Bang! Bang!"

Several sacred bullets, engraved with holy symbols, were fired with a roar and struck them. The divine aura dispelled the filth and depravity, and their bodies disintegrated and turned to ash.

"Keep going."

The tall "Goddess Wings" said, her voice light and cheerful, unlike her aloof appearance, "Be careful, there's danger ahead."

Sure enough, no sooner had she finished speaking than more twisted and crazed flesh puppets poured out of the building. Judging from their appearance, most of them were streetwalkers. Under the control of someone inside, they surged out and pounced on the red-gloved figures.

"Bang bang bang!"

The red-gloved soldiers skillfully engaged the attackers, using either enchanted bullets or their own abilities and sealed artifacts to quickly eliminate the flesh and blood servants.

The house fell silent once more, the windows were dark, and there was not a sound.

"Stop hiding, come out."

The tall woman called out, "We know you're in there."

She secretly made a gesture, and the other extraordinary individuals, armed with weapons, quietly approached.

With a creak, the door to that room opened, and Lanluus, supporting his lower back, appeared before everyone with a gloomy expression.

His belly was already quite large, like that of a woman nearing her due date. Even though everyone was wary of him, they were all surprised to see such a strange pregnant man. The man's posture and eerie appearance made Daly, who was in the crowd, feel uncomfortable.

"It's unbelievable."

"Leonard," said the Wings of the Goddess in surprise, smiling as she looked Lanruus up and down. "Your colleague is quite the visionary. I admire him."

"Your Excellency Isabella, please be serious."

Leonard said helplessly, but his gaze towards Lanius revealed deep apprehension. After all, that belly was carrying an evil god!
"You want to hurt my child? You want to hurt my child!"

Lanius glared at them viciously, muttering to himself.

At this moment, he seemed to have lost the cunning of his former conman, and instead became like a frantic mother simply trying to protect her child. His voice was shrill and terrifying, echoing through the street and sending shivers down people's spines.

The faces of the men in red gloves were slightly distorted, and the foul, polluted sound of Lanius's voice made them feel intensely uncomfortable.

"Bang bang bang!"

They fired, and the enchanted bullets thundered towards Lanius.

However, the bullets missed their target. Suddenly, a crimson wall rose up in front of Lanius's body. That wall was made of the dead woman's flesh and blood!

"Wow—"

After blocking the bullets, the wall of flesh collapsed, turning into a tidal wave that rushed towards the group.

"boom!"

However, before it could even get close, the tall woman named Isabella drew a large-caliber handgun and pulled the trigger, blasting the wall into ruins with a deafening roar. "Flesh magic...was it your unborn child who taught you that?"

Isabella asked with great interest, while simultaneously pointing the massive, dark muzzle of a gun at Lanius and walking towards him.

Lanius stared at the muzzle of the gun, a twisted smile spreading across his face.

"Yes. Why don't you ask Him yourself?"

"Hey!"

He tore open his clothes, exposing his upper body to the air.

His abdomen was swollen high, the skin stretched thin from excessive pressure, revealing clearly the bluish-black veins. In the very center of his abdomen, a peculiar outline was slowly taking shape, as if something inside was pressing against him, extending a finger through his skin towards the crowd.
"Fool, how dare you stand so close to me!"

A hint of joy flashed in Lanius's eyes. Next, as long as the child in his womb showed even a little bit of divinity, he could completely corrupt their spirit.
The moment his thought crossed his mind, he felt the world around him become strange.

It was as if a gigantic beast had spread its wings, covering the sky. Everything before him became dark, distant, quiet, and insignificant. Not only was the world insignificant, but so were he and the child in his womb, as if he had become a speck of dust in the world, about to be blown away by the wind.

Lanius stared at the red-gloved figures in a daze; they were clearly standing right in front of him, yet they felt as if they were on a distant horizon.
From the perspective of the red glove, Lanius's figure was gradually disappearing, as if invisible wings were covering his body, causing him to vanish. Before his divinity could even begin to taint, it was easily erased by the wings of the goddess.

No, it doesn't seem that easy either.

Isabella watched intently as Lanius was slowly disappearing, her left hand pressing down on her wide right sleeve. Beneath the sleeve, something seemed to be wriggling, making a rustling sound as it rubbed against itself.

The Church of the Goddess of Night was already aware of Lanius's condition and would naturally send someone who could best counter him. Isabella, the "Wings of the Goddess," received a blessing from the goddess upon advancing to Sequence 5, her arm being sanctified. From then on, she possessed the special ability to make her target disappear invisibly.

It would be perfect to use it against Lanius.

"These are the Wings of the Goddess"

Leonard looked surprised and sighed softly.

"It's simpler than I expected."

High atop the distant tower, Klein and Luzer witnessed Lanius being easily controlled and exclaimed sincerely, "Luzer, is the problem solved now, Luzer?"

He realized that his words were not being answered, and when he turned around, he saw that the other person had an uneasy look on their face.

"what happened?"

“A very strong guy is coming. I can sense it; he's from the same path as me!”

"Very strong? How strong?"

Klein blurted it out.

"In the same sequence as me."

Lu Ze's expression was gloomy.

Same path, same sequence
Klein reacted for a moment, his expression quickly turning grim. "The shepherd? Mr. A is here! Where is he?"

Lu Ze frowned, his gaze sweeping across the dark street, but he still couldn't pinpoint the shepherd's exact location.

It's right here, so why can't I see it? Could it be...?
As if remembering something, he suddenly looked up at the silent black airship in the sky!
"boom!"

A loud explosion rang out, and the airship floating above fired its cannons, but the cannons were aimed at the Night Watchers below!

A towering flame and plumes of smoke rose into the sky, and in the firelight, a bulky figure could be seen leaving the scene and fleeing at high speed.
