Mystery: The Last Shepherd

Chapter 183 Madness

Chapter 183 Madness (Previous chapter has been revised)

Under the invisible lash and the baptism of bullets, Luze's body collapsed, turning into blurred and shattered flesh and blood scattered on the ground.

Katie and the bearded man were delighted to see that their attack had worked, but Horus sensed something was amiss.

How could a shepherd be killed so easily?
Sure enough, to their astonishment, the flesh began to writhe, merging with the crimson blood scattered on the ground. The thick blood began to gather and mix, once again transforming into a magnificent river of blood!
"Wow—"

A surge of blood erupted, rushing through the hall and engulfing everything in its path. Within the vortex, countless faces, wailing in agony, rose and fell, only to be quickly submerged by the waves—these were the people who had just transformed into roses.

Horace was horrified to discover that his ban on "flesh magic" had failed!
Because the opponent not only manipulated a river of blood with magic, but also directly merged himself into it!

This is not flesh and blood magic; the river is itself!
"run!"

As the thick, crimson tide of blood surged toward them like a blotting-out cloud, all three let out a desperate cry. Without hesitation, they turned and fled.

However, how could a runner possibly outrun a raging and terrifying flood?

The bearded man, who had just thrown away his steam rifle, only ran a few steps before being overtaken by the Blood River and swallowed up by the surging red.

Next came Katie, wearing a thin shirt and with scars on her face. Her body bobbed in and out of the river as she screamed and futilely lashed her whip. Several blood-red figures rose from the surface, pulling on her limbs and forcibly submerging her.

Finally, the blood-red river caught up with Heras, and a huge wave crashed down, completely engulfing his figure.

"boom!"

Moments later, Horace struggled out of the river of blood. Countless arms reached out from the blood, pulling at him. He raised his arm, gloved with black iron, and in a flash of light, a transparent wall formed, separating him from the river.

"Wow—"

The river paused for a moment, then immediately continued flowing along both sides.

"Isolation! Isolation! Isolation!"

Horace screamed hysterically, his wig falling off and his body swaying precariously from overusing the extraordinary item. But his power worked, creating several invisible walls that slowed the river!

Seeing a chance to survive, Horace turned and ran wildly toward the gate. His skin was covered in blisters, a sign that he was on the verge of losing control.

We're about to escape!

The gate was right in front of him. Exhausted and extremely tense, Horace looked out at the night, his heart filled with the joy of surviving. The wall could hold for another ten seconds, enough for him to shake off his pursuers and disappear into the darkness!
A fleeting thought of joy crossed his mind, and Horace had already rushed out of the villa, his feet landing on the solid ground outside. It was already late at night, and it was pitch black outside. The sudden transition from the brightly lit hall to the dark outdoors inevitably caused a moment of disorientation.

However, in that brief moment, a figure seized the opportunity when his vision was obscured and his condition was extremely poor, and silently rushed up. The gleaming dagger gathered great power and, meeting his momentum as he fled, thrust it with all its might towards his vital points!
"puff!"

Horace felt a sharp pain in his chest, followed by a chill, as cold as the deep darkness of the night.

With his vision gradually returning, he looked down and saw that his heart had been pierced by a dagger. The assassin holding the dagger was a stunningly beautiful girl with black hair and blue eyes. The girl struck her target, then without hesitation, sheathed her knife and retreated, quickly creating distance until she disappeared into the shadows of the garden.

"You actually..."

Horace stared incredulously, clutching his chest.

Blood gushed from the gaps in the black iron gauntlet. He struggled to raise his arm, about to make another announcement, when a rushing sound of water came from behind him. He turned around in astonishment, and everything in his vision was swallowed by red.

"Wow!"

Blood gushed from the doors and windows. Countless young girls were swept away by the river. Just as they were about to scream, the river gently placed them on the ground outside the villa.

After they were placed in the river, the blood-red water quickly receded and flowed back into the hall.

"You are free now, go home."

A voice rang out from the shadows and addressed them. The girls hesitated, then a few of the bolder ones ran out into the street, quickly leading the other girls to flee in droves.

A crowd had already gathered on the street. They were astonished by the commotion and the sight of so many girls running away.

The area outside the villa gradually became lively.

A hooded girl emerged from the shadows, abruptly looking up at the hall. It was filled with an eerie, corrupt atmosphere, and that eeriness was rapidly expanding; anyone with a modicum of intuition would sense something was amiss!
The girl ran quickly into the hall.

The hall was completely destroyed, with rubble scattered everywhere and expensive furniture in ruins. The only strange thing was that the floor was clean, without a trace of blood.

"Aaaaaah! Spare me! Help!"

The villa's owner, Kapin, was screaming in agony as a surging river of blood swirled around him. A group of girls with hateful faces floated on the river, their eyes filled with venom. They opened their mouths and frantically tore at his flesh until they devoured him completely.

After Kapin died, the girls' faces lit up with gleeful smiles. Their bodies dissolved into blood, and transparent spirits floated up and quickly dissipated.

"Wow—"

The river of blood also contracted, gathered, and eventually transformed back into human form.

Luze reappeared where he stood, his straitjacket destroyed, now replaced by a blood-red robe made of flesh and blood, a garment in the style of a shepherd.

His handsome face was etched with pain and confusion, and his eyes remained bloodshot.

"elder brother!"

The black-haired girl ran over and called out to him.

The crimson in Lu Ze's eyes faded slightly, and he instinctively looked at his sister and took a step toward her.

"Clap."

His head fell to the ground.

Then, his body shattered, like a doll that had failed to be pieced back together, scattering all over the ground.

"Dong dong!"

All the chunks of flesh twitched, as if screaming in intense pain. Lu Ze's face showed extreme madness, and he muttered under his breath, unable to control himself.

"Hang in there, brother."

The girl rushed into the pile of flesh and blood, gently picked up Lu Ze's head, and pieced his body back together piece by piece.

"Chichi."

The blood burned her fair and delicate skin, but she paid no attention to it, focusing only on her work until she had pieced Lu Ze's body back together. Then she carried him out of the villa.

"brush!"

Just as they stepped out of the hall, a phantom door suddenly tore open in the sky above the villa.

somebody is coming.

The previous chapter has been revised, and the effects of the gloves have been limited; they were indeed a bit too powerful before.
