Mystery: The Last Shepherd

Chapter 112 Creating Life Forms in Bottles

Chapter 112 Creating Life Forms in Bottles

Blackthorn Security Company.

Lu Ze stood in front of the company and glanced at the somewhat weathered signboard, a sense of emotion welling up inside him.

I'm already very familiar with this place.

Stepping inside, Rosanne, as usual, sat behind the table, dozing off with a newspaper in hand, her head nodding. She walked forward and greeted Xijia and Luo Yao, who were chatting on the sofa. Crossing the partition into the hallway, she saw Klein, Leonard, and Cohen playing cards in the lounge on the left. Luze smiled at them and turned to go into Dunn's office.

"Captain, I'm back at work."

He said to Dunn behind the table.

"Well, welcome back."

Dunn put down his pipe and smiled deeply. "How is Cecilia?"

Oh right, the excuse I used to ask for leave was that my younger sister disliked school.

Lu Ze nodded and said, "I spent a day with her at home, and she's in a much better mood now and is willing to go back to school. But I've already asked for leave for her, so this is a good opportunity for her to rest for a few more days."

"Alright."

Dunn remained noncommittal. "If anything happens afterward, you can tell me, and maybe I can help. Heh. A truly unforgettable nightmare is enough to wake up those who enjoy bullying others."

Captain, you're just looking for an opportunity to scare the little girl, aren't you?
Lu Ze complained, but he felt a warmth in his heart, knowing that the other person cared about him.

As he left the captain's office, he nearly bumped into Klein.

"Why aren't you playing cards with them anymore?"

“I need to talk to you, so I sent those two to play cards with Fry in the basement.”

Klein said.

Do you need something?

Lu Ze was slightly surprised.

Klein said, "Melissa said when she got home yesterday, she was harassed by some thugs on the street, but luckily Cecilia happened to be passing by and helped her and her friend."

It turned out that after being rescued, Melissa wanted to express her gratitude but didn't know how. After her two older brothers suggested something, they decided to invite them to see the popular play "The Return of the Earl" at the theater that weekend.

“Not only Melissa, but Benson and I are also very grateful to her. If it weren’t for her, Melissa would have been in danger.”

Klein said very sincerely. Melissa didn't explain it very clearly, only saying that Cecilia drove away the scoundrels, so he didn't know how skilled Cecilia was, let alone realize that Cecilia might have become an extraordinary being.

It's the weekend.
Today is Friday, and Ms. M could take action at any moment. She doesn't know if she'll have the chance to hold out until then.

Lu Ze hesitated, wondering whether to refuse. But seeing Klein's expectant eyes, he thought again, who cares? If he can survive, he'll go; if he can't, it doesn't matter at all.

“Okay, I’ll go back and tell Cecilia, and we’ll go together.”

He smiled and agreed.

What happened next was unremarkable; it was just an ordinary workday, but it might also be his last. Under Ms. M's supervision, Lu Ze continued his self-study, interacted with colleagues, rested, and exercised as usual until the end of the workday. He then took a trackless carriage back to his house at No. 6 Narcissus Street.

When he got home, he suddenly felt that something was different in the house; the familiar yet repulsive fragrance seemed to have faded considerably.

Ms. M is not here?

The opportunity is coming!

"Lu Ze, you're back."

Cecilia stood up to greet her. She was wearing a hooded cloak over her dress, which she hadn't taken off yet, as if she had just returned.

"What about her?"

Lu Ze asked casually. "She went outside. She had just left when I came back; she'd only been gone a few minutes."

Cecilia's answer thrilled him even more. If Ms. M had just left, then she had more time left for him.

We must seize this opportunity!
So Luze walked towards Cecilia with a seemingly calm demeanor, uttering some meaningless chatter. Just as the two were close enough, he pressed his finger against the black ring on his finger.

The goddess gave him one last chance: the chance to block Ms. M's surveillance!
"brush!"

The black threads broke free from Luze's fingers and quickly wrapped around his body. Because Cecilia was close enough, her body was also affected and enveloped in the black threads.

It's blocked!

Lu Ze, through the eyes of the Mystic, saw that the blood energy monitoring Cecilia was also under control, and knew that the two of them had temporarily escaped Ms. M's surveillance.

"Lu Ze? This is..."

"Cecilia, don't ask anything! I don't have time to explain! Listen to me, come with me!"

He had no time to explain to his sister; he quickly grabbed her wrist and led her straight upstairs to his bedroom.

Although Cecilia didn't know what was wrong with her brother, she still followed him into his bedroom and watched him squat down and pull a briefcase out from under the bed.

A strong, overwhelming stench of blood wafted towards us.

Thankfully, the preservation ritual is still effective, and the food is still very fresh!
Lu Ze immediately spotted Mrs. Sharon's heart. Although it had been there for several days, it was still fresh and its spiritual essence had not dissipated because he had used a ritual to preserve it.

He quickly pulled out various ingredients from his pocket and began to mix them.

Only then did he have time to explain to his sister:
“Listen, Cecilia! This thing can remove the flesh and blood that woman fed you, so you can break free from her control.”

"Lu Ze, you can use it first."

"Stop arguing with me! Hold out your hand!"

Luze interrupted Cecilia, grabbed his sister's arm, and pulled up her clothes. Looking at his sister's delicate arm, he felt a pang of heartache for a second, but still hardened his heart and cut a finger-length wound.

Cecilia trembled slightly.

Next, he picked up a mercury flask, collected his sister's blood in it, and then added various herbs to the flask. After completing the preparations, he placed the bright red, foul-smelling witch's heart at the mouth of the flask.

The bottle opening was too small; the heart simply couldn't fit inside. Luze merely managed to stabilize the heart before proceeding with the most crucial step.

He then recited the name of the hidden sage in Hermes:

"The embodiment of spirit and number,"
The origin of all knowledge

A reclusive sage in the wilderness.

His cold eyes slowly opened in the invisible sky, and a strange and crazy power surged into his body, along with a vast amount of knowledge.

I pray to you;

"I pray that you will grant me strength;"

"Grant me the power to complete the 'life form in the bottle'."

Enduring the immense pain of being forcibly instilled with knowledge, Luze continued to pray. He raised the dagger to the witch's heart, using the power bestowed by the Hidden Sage to carve forbidden patterns upon it.

Soon, the witch's heart turned even redder, and like a soft, living thing, it wriggled through the bottle opening and fell into the blood and herbs with a plop.

"Boom, boom, boom."

Soaked in the liquid in the bottle, the heart, which had been dead, began to beat again.
